How does this channel only have 17.9k subs? The information and effort that goes into these videos is second to none. Thanks for the information on these lights, well done!
Werkz is definitely the place to come for weapons light info and holsters that fit them. Shan and crew are great at explaining testing and what that means to output and time.
I have been running a TLR7 sub on my P365 for two and a half years now. It is my every day carry and the light has held up extremely well in the Texas heat (with my sweat) as well as sub-zero temperatures in the mountains. The battery life is awesome and the consistent output over the battery's life is really nice to have. I'm probably around 5,000 rounds into it by now and it has performed flawlessly.
Thanks for your feedback. I keep tabs on user experience with lights, so this is more helpful to me. Our torture testing of the 7Sub in the past shows it does quite well... I'm glad yours reflects that as well!
That foxtrot 2 is pretty impressive. I came in expecting this light to just bomb. No free lunch always a compromise with lights especially this small. Either high output or more run time. Currently running the p365 with the streamlight tlr 7 sub and it’s been great. I stuck with the streamlight because it had more output than the surefire xsc. Now I want to try the foxtrot 2 for myself. Always enjoy the reviews. 🤙🏻
As a test engineer, I appreciate the science behind this video, as well as the subjective tests. Thanks for sacrificing your eyes for the 'blindness' test. Keep up the great work my guy! Rock solid video!
I have the TLR 7 sub and a Olight PL2 mini. Both are good lights but i prefer the TLR7 sub. The ability to change my battery in the field is a must for me. Great comparison and testing of the 3 lights.
A lot of people like to save money with rechargeables, but I buy CR123A in such bulk that they are only about a buck a piece. With runtimes like those shown, you get a lot out of the CR123A, and can instantly get back up & running if you carry spares. Thanks for sharing your feedback!
I’m in the LED lighting business and your review is refreshing. Lumens important but candela is if the light is in the right place. Sounds like Foxtrot got this the best.
Just put a Foxtrot 2 on my Sig P365XL, via the Tactical Development rail -- love it! Thanks for the video! Had assumed a holster designed for the TLR-7 Sub would do the trick. So a resounding YES, please design a holster for the Foxtrot 2! The IPX7 immersion rating and Sig lifetime repair/replace for the internals is outstanding, as well. Thanks again for the due diligence 👍🏼
I'm heading down to my LGS this morning to grab the Macro Comp. I run Sreamlights on everything, and I just got a 43x MOS and I'm running the TLR 7 Sub, but this time I will be going with the Foxtrot 2 to try something different. Have you made any of the holsters yet?
Great approach to evaluating these lights. Very comprehensive and clear presentation of the data. Exactly what we need as consumers. Thanks for the great vid!!!
Great video and I just saw on your site you've now got a holster for the XMacro and FOXTROT2. Good stuff! Please keep the quality content coming. Liked and subscribed. :)
Great video. I just wanted to say that I have a TLR7 sub for my XL and it runs a CR123A, but I have been using a 16340. It is pretty close to the same thing except it has higher voltage(3.7/4.2 compared to a 3v), which means more output. I know the driver is not made for that much power but it does effectively push the voltage without overpowering and burning up. Try it out
I really like my Foxtrot2. I have it on a couple guns now. The one holster I have is from another maker (being reapectful of your work here). The F2 will be a contender as a lot of stores carry a lot of Sig's offerings and more holsters is a good thing. I'd like to see 365 XMacro as well as 320 fits to keep a gun all Sig, then branch out to other brand guns.
I like these tests as you don't make flashlights so it's objective , but you do make holsters for them so you have some interest. It's a good balance. I'm not a level 10 flashlight nerd but definitely an informed enthusiast. Great videos . I'm considering one of your holsters and a Tlr7 sub for a Hellcat Pro if I can figure out the whole rail key debacle. As I understand, I'd have to order the proper rail key separately, which I don't love that idea.
Or just buy the newer Sub for Hellcat, which includes the Streamlight key. Their key places the Sub in the identical spot to the key we produced. Or purchase the Sub 1913 and make sure our CS (products at werkz.com) provides you with the key if you purchase from us.
Wow, what an excellent review. First video from you guys and i subbed! I edc a XMacro with a holo 507k green. I was leaning towards the tlr7 sub, but from this video I liked the type of lighting the sig emitted. My only concern is availability on holsters as mentioned in this video. I will most likely go with the tlr7 sub with the tactical development key, but will have to give the sig a shot after it's been out for a little and accessories start coming out to fit.
Just got an x macro and went with a tlr7sub for guaranteed holster compatibility, (werkz m6 arriving tomorrow). Didn't have many other options due to holster support, but if there were holsters for the sig light, I'd consider it a serious contender with that kind of candela performance.
Did you get it with the 1913s Key? Sorry for the abrupt reply... but I've been struggling to find the streamlight flashlight with the right key for the picatinny rail for the xmacro....
Always enjoy your reviews, very informative and thorough! I purchased the streamlight months ago based one of your reviews and have not been disappointed!
Great Video! I just this week bought the Sig Macro and your review was great in helping me decide on a light. I still need a holster as well, but need to wait till I choose a light... Thank again great review....
This was very helpful in understanding flashlights. I really am impressed with the difference between lumens and candela. I think after your video everyone has purchased every FoxTrot 2. Can’t seem to find a place to get one without a long wait time.
Matt, glad it is helpful. Yeah, I needed another light today and ended up paying over retail for one. Maybe I'll buy a bunch when they show up back in stock.
I made the Foxtrot 2 purchase because of this review for my Macro and because I didn’t win one anywhere! The review served the light well and the candela is indeed the best part of the purchase. As soon as I could I purchased the M6 IWB for the macro and Foxtrot2. Received it today and am exceptionally pleased with the purchase. Thanks Werkz I appreciated the hand written thank you on the receipt.
Great comparison! This is the method that one has to do to figure out what light is best for your use. I think I'd stick with the streamlight. They are proven.
I was torn between the TLR 7sub and the Foxtrot 2. I have the TLR on an 365xl and wanted another light for the Macro module. Had I seen this video before I ordered the TLR I would have given the Foxtrot 2 a chance instead. However, holsters are a big concern of mine, I currently run your holsters for the 356XL and 365 SAS. There are holsters available through SIG but you guys make a good product and have always treated me well on my orders.
Great video. I'm looking forward to trying the foxtrot 2. And yes, please fabricate a mold for the P365 X Macro to fit with Foxtrot 2 light. Thank you!

Wish I would have found this video sooner. Bought the Olight for my P365 x macro. Stumbled across this video while searching for a holster that would accommodate my setup. Thank you for taking the time to do the different product comparisons and give your honest feedback.
When can we expect a X Macro/Foxtrot2 Holster option? I currently have an 365 XL with TRL-7 SUB on a WERKZ M6 holster but recently got the X Macro Grip. I am leaning towards the Foxtrot 1 for the same candela and CRI reason you pointed out. Havent purchased a light yet as im waiting on either more light options to come out of more Holsters supporting the Foxtrot 2.
Running the tlr-7sub on my macro. Been 100 percent. I always run streamlight tlr series lights on pistols from the tlr-1HL, tlr-7/7a/7sub and even a tlr-6 once on an M&P. Rifles get either surefire, arisaka, or streamlight depending on the build budget.
Thanks for sharing what you're running. We have put the TLR-7 Sub through all sorts of torture, and it continues to impress me with good output and durability.
Great info as always!! Tnx for ur due diligence. I'm searching for a light for my new XMacro n was thinking about the TLR7 w/ side switch hoping that it won stick out so much. the Sub doesn't seem to stick out that much either. very informative👊
Always enjoy your informative videos, the info provided definitely influences my purchase decisions. Bought an X-Macro frame for the 17 round capability and the standard rail. Will be putting my XL upper on it.
I would love to have a Werkz holster for the foxtrot2 and xMacro combo, I want all the candela I can get for a certain size and at the moment that seems to be the foxtrot. I do have a question though, I'm not running an actual xMacro, I have an XL slide on a macro frame so would your xMacro holster fit my setup since the macro specifically has its front sight further back? And do/can you make the holster to fit a threaded barrel?
I think I'd still go with the TLR-7 on my 365XL. As you say, I like the Streamlight switches and I really value the runtime. Holsters for the TLR-7 are also plentiful. Now we just need Sig to make a normal XL frame with a 1913 rail so I don't have to spend hundreds on an Icarus. That said, the Foxtrot candela is certainly impressive for its size and I wouldn't feel bad running it. I'd just be worried about finding a holster for it.
You should have started charged up before each test. Possibly the shock could cause it so switch off. Where are the lasers? I have a Baldar Mini w/green laser. Not one beam shot to COMPARE. I need beam width, not just a tightly focused beam.
thanks for the feedback! My intent is to always provide an unbiased review of products... and one of the best ways to do that is via objective measured data.

Yes need a holster for it! there is literally zero holsters for that light… I don’t want to use an unwanted light just bc there is no holsters for the one I want.
@@WerkzHolsters what about a macro with olight baldr s? My brother ended up ordering me one of those as a surprise so I guess I have that instead of trl 8ag
i currently have a Werkz holster for my P320 with t TLR7 now. I like the foxtrot light from Sig i may switch over to that . I still need a Macro Holster once i decide what light to put on it.
@@WerkzHolsters TLR -8 UPDATE +++++ Just bought the x Macro and tlr-8 light (and a BSG holster......;( I have average size hands - 5'8 and I could not reach the switches on the tlr-8 without moving my established grip. The best light on the market to get the best bang for your buck and quality is the sig foxtrot 1x. I bought one at a gunshow for $74. It has 450 lumens, runs 1.5hrs. It fits perfect on my p320 compact. You can't beat it.
I am liking the Foxtrot 2 for the higher candela AND the replaceable common 123/16340 battery via the front. 2nd Streamlight TLR-7/sub. My weapon of choice is one of my FN 509CTs...
Thanks for the rundown! I've recently found your channel while researching lights for my P80. Because of your testing, I've really started liking that TLR7. Nobody else is doing stuff like this that I've found. Keep up the great content! Hope I win!🤞🏻🤞🏻
Sig Romeo 5 in both models is awesome. Sig pistols are nothing I'd consider buying, ever. Sig lights, nah, OLIGHT for me. Great testing vid, thanks Mr Werkz
I would probably go with the TLR 7 sub just because its been my favorite light since I put it on my G48mos. I plan on running one on my Macro. Just need to get the light and a holster.
I know you guys primarily do handgun lights and handheld"tactical"/edc lights. Would you be able to torture the new Olight Javalot Tac and see how it stacks up against pretty much every other light in its catagory?
I think at this point this channel is probably the first place I come to to get reviews on lights. They're just quality informative videos.

Yes, and we should have a holster for that the XMacro with the Streamlight TLR-8AG.
Thanks for the feedback!
I was looking at your website and saw that you don’t have any options for a hellcat pro with a streamlight TLR-8A? Just the TLR-7
At this time, that is correct. I'm hearing requests for the TLR-8 on the Pro though...
@@WerkzHolsters TLR -8 UPDATE +++++ Just bought the x Macro and tlr-8 light (and a BSG holster......;( I have average size hands - 5'8 and I could not reach the switches on the tlr-8 without moving my established grip. This goes for both hands.... the buttons are farther up about 3/8 of an inch v. tlr-7 sub...and the buttons are much smaller. I am sending back the tlr-8 and picking up the tlr-7 sub and a werkz holster. I Just bought a BSG hoslster for the light combo set up and very disappointed with it. - no real positive retention, no click... would fall out if turned upside down. Wish I would have found this channel before ordering the BSG. (I have another BSG for my hellcat that is fantastic!!!.... I would love to see a foxtro2 combo for this rig !!!
GIVE AWAY UPDATE ++++++ as far as the giveaway goes - It would be nice to set a sunset date in the video (Or a pop up - or some sort of message) so all viewers know when the giveaway date will be. (I know from marketing perspective it's better to "hide" this info and make everyone search and watch videos, cheesy click bait.......but honestly --from what I can see about you and the way do things...people will flock to this channel because of your honesty and sincerity, and your thorough way you approach your topic of the day, the way you approach your work. I really enjoyed everything about this, and I am ordering your holster based soley on this video watching it only once :-) May the God of heaven richly bless you, may His face shine upon you, may a gentle warm breeze be forever upon you my brother !!!!!
@@dandb4362 Good point on the giveaway stuff. Thanks for the feedback! As for holster stuff, hopefully our holster will fit your needs nicely. Too bad the TLR-8 didn't work for you. Maybe the new TLR-8 Sub will be better? I've not taken a close look at it yet...
The best light on the market to get the best bang for your buck and quality is the sig foxtrot 1x. I bought one at a gunshow for $74. It has 450 lumens, runs 1.5hrs. It fits perfect on my p320 compact. You can't beat it.
Thanks for sharing your feedback!
I am liking the Foxtrot 2 for the higher candela AND the replaceable common 123/16340 battery via the front.
2nd Streamlight TLR-7/sub.
My weapon of choice is one of my FN 509CTs...
Do y’all make holsters for the psa dagger?
That vibration testing was great! I’ve never seen anything like that before
Thanks! I wanted something to stress internal components, and I think the tester will do that.
Have you tried the Fenix g19lr? Easy to mount and use, 1200 lumens and comes in around $99
Thanks for the rundown! I've recently found your channel while researching lights for my P80. Because of your testing, I've really started liking that TLR7. Nobody else is doing stuff like this that I've found. Keep up the great content! Hope I win!🤞🏻🤞🏻
I have the streamlight tlr8ag but I wouldn’t mind the foxtrot either except I run it on the Icarus pro grip module.
Sig Romeo 5 in both models is awesome. Sig pistols are nothing I'd consider buying, ever. Sig lights, nah, OLIGHT for me. Great testing vid, thanks Mr Werkz
You're welcome Mr. Typhoon! Thanks for sharing your view on the lights!
I vote yes on the foxtrot 2 holster after this review
Great video! Just found you guys! Please consider making a holster for that combo of x macro and foxtrot2!
It's quite possible... stay tuned!
Great objective video. Thanks to taking the time to produce.
Thanks for your feedback!
Thank you for a great review of a little known light.
I have lights on long guns, but never had a light on a handgun. Would be nice to try one out.
Impressive lights. Thanks for posting these tests.
My pleasure!
TLR-7 Sub just fits like a glove on the 365 X Macro. Can't speak for the others, but ya can't go wrong with it!
Always enjoy your reviews on lights. Very objective and informative
Exactly how I want to provide them to all the firearms community. Just the facts! Blessings!
Great video very high quality and well done!
Will a surefire x300 fit?
Do you make a P365XL/Foxtrot1x or 2 holster?
Why wasn’t it retested when the battery was recharged?
