Great review, have been looking at this brand of packs for an upgrade. shame the zippers aren't more protected from water, a rain cover would have to be considered. Nice design otherwise.
How did you like it? Travelling in 5.5 weeks and am tempted. How it opens up seems way easier than Kathmandu packs. It could double as a carry on. I'm usually a fancy bag girl but heading to rainforests for two weeks.
Hi , I see a design fault in this backpack. It appears all the weight of the loaded pack would transfer through the laptop pouch zipper. Do you agree? I am in Melbourne and would like to see one for myself before spending $180 . Otherwise it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for .
Thanks for the review. My backpacks usually last around 12 months before the zippers disintegrate. This time I would like to try a roll-top but somewhat put off by the plastic clips. Bummer they didn't use metal parts there ...
@@angelakajaferro yeah i totally agree. For me the Escapade looks more of a beach and camping backpack meanwhile shell can do the same but also travel with it cause of its accessories
Their brand seems pretty sweet, I like that they care about the impact of creating their products and also helping the planet

Do you have any recommendations for a backpack which for the 16 inch MacBook Pro 2021 with a sleeve on?
Our Escapade Bacpack would just squeeze this in :)
Would you guys ever consider doing a review of the Crumpler Mantra?
Love the tinny pack capacity test!

Honestly I feel like tropics feel Shell Backpack which is similar is way better
Depends on your needs. The Shell weighs almost double the Escapade (1.5kg fully kitted out, vs 820g). Both are great bags!
