    Being too cool and being too bulky is why we all love this badass watch....quality, band never wears out, bad to the bone. Get one and join the family...you will not be dissapointed!

    The adaptors are amazing. I have a heavy duty NATO on mine with adaptors. It only feels top heavy if the strap is too loose. Once I snug it down a bit, it feels great. Wear yours in good health!

    Nice alternative to a G-Shock Steel, if you like you're watches big but simple.

    Just ordered one of these from Amazon-EU 2 days ago, due for delivery tomorrow. Got a great deal on it for £200 inc VAT. I'm attracted to the big/bold nature of it. My train of thought is, if I like it and can cope with the looks and feel - I'll then upgrade to the BN7020-09E. This is an exercise to see if I like it on. I know it's large and deep, but I also owned the Rangeman 1000 too, and that isn't small. My only worry is I like a loose fit, so it will certain spin around - as I prefer watches to sit on the bend at my hand/wrist. Gr8 vid as always...

    • @adamski101
      @adamski101 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This watch would be AWFUL if loosely attached to the wrist and riding up from the top.of the hand/spinning round all the time. It's a big, heavy and very top heavy watch.

    "cult following"? well, people love citizen's high quality and high affordability, I would say rolex and other "swiss" brands are cults, everyone agrees that swiss are high quality, BUT the parts are sourced from unknown places (mist likely china) and are assembled in Switzerland, then if you evaluate rolex from the cost of manufacturing perspective and ignore the brand name on them, you'd see they fall within $150-250, but they cost $5-8k. and ppl are crazy about them, tell me more about cult following

    Wait until you get the adapters and put it on a bracelet :)). It will be very heavy, but I guarantee you will not want to take it off again. I have 2 of these, one it's the original version with an OEM stainless steel bracelet from Citizen, while the other is like the one you have but with a pair of Suppa adapters and their titanium bracelet (300$ affair by the way, the adapters and the bracelet). Even with the titanium bracelet it weighs about 260g. It's a fun watch, enjoy it :D.

    I have a ecozilla in my rotation and love it as i have an 8.5 inch wrist. I have the adapters and use 24 mm nato straps. It gets more comments than most watches will always stay in my collection. I also bought a 6$ led light that i sit on top every few months so the eco drive is always charged.

    I know there are lots of fans of this beast of a watch, but wonder if the Seiko Solar Tuna is a better proposition considering one doesn't need to get adapters for the lugs to be able to mount the head on different straps. Both have solar movements, are fairly close in price on the grey market, and are exclusively styled for underwater operations. The Citizen goes a little deeper (300 meters), but I've wondered why there is such a giant bezel and even more case surrounding a relatively small dial. The bezel is easier to grip on the Solar Tuna, it's way thinner, and the lume is the equal and maybe a touch better than the Citizen. Both wear like hockey pucks on the wrist, which is a look some enthusiasts like. To me, the Ecozilla is an interesting design that evokes a love-it-or-hate-it response from most. It is a very masculine watch.

    • @iHaejeog
      @iHaejeog 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have to agree that I think the Seiko Solar Tuna is a better option. Don't get me wrong-- this watch looks like an absolute tool, but the Seiko Solar Tuna is much lighter due to the plastic shroud (I believe the watch weighs around 90g with the factory rubber strap) and is a lot thinner too (around 12mm height). I own the Seiko SNE498 and it is a joy to wear. It might be because I prefer the look of the Tunas vs the Ecozilla and Autozilla. However, I really do not like having the top-heavy feel when I wear watches, and the Marinemaster Quartz Tuna I used to own definitely had that feeling as does this Ecozilla. Plus the adapters for this Ecozilla make the lug to lug distance even more massive. This is definitely a watch for bigger wrists.

  • @michimadiforever1458
    @michimadiforever1458 ปีที่แล้ว

    You don’t need to know what the date is when you’re diving …most of us rotate our watches, and we’re having to tell the watch what the date is every time we put the watch on, and then we’re having to unscrew the watch, which is wear & tear on the threads and the gasket, so it’s useless and messes up the symmetry of the indices.

    Thanks again for another great review… BTW, your strap on your watch is way too tight. You should be able to stick two fingers under your watch when it’s buckled, you’ve got to be cutting the blood off to your hand…you tighten them up the same way on every single video…too tight stretches the bracelet and too loose stretches the bracelet.

  • @jimgd4

    I love the look of this watch, seriously. However, why build a tank like this and then give it only a 300M depth rating? It's like what hot-rodders would call a "boulevard bluff"- all show & no go.
    Any pedestrian diver is rated at 300 meters. This looks like it should be a 1000 meter watch. Why isn't it, Citizen?
