    I've had a couple Ecozilla and a couple Autozilla pieces over the years, get rid of them and buy again a year later and dump again!!! Put the watch on Suppa Adapters (a must) and your strap option are limitless! Great job Bruce on the review..

    If I had larger wrists I would have owned one of these back when I was actively diving. That said, sport divers are not supposed to dive below 120 feet. 200M is more than adequate as far as WR resistance ones. The night dive capability is what would have attracted me to this watch. Nice review Bruce!

    I bought mine used from a co-worker 10 years ago for $100 and wear it everyday... The rubber straps started showing cracks a week ago, so I spent $60 for original citizen rubber straps and it came in today...Amazon has this watch for $320 new. I love it.

    I like the exclamation, it reminds me of my car. German cars really crack me up, I service mine every 500mi so sometimes the service computer thinks I’m neglecting it and I get a “SERVICE NOW!” displayed. I could see a German breaking out in a sweat seeing that message not daring to defy it. I surprised it didn’t come equipped with a klaxon just Incase someone pushed it a few mi beyond the service interval.

    Ecozilla was my first love ten years ago. But there is a fly in the ointment: That strap creates wrist fatigue. My least comfortable strap to wear. In contrast, the strap on the Tuna 033 and 035 models is so comfy.

    I owned one of the original Seiko monsters back in circa 2002. Not in same league imo as the EcoZilla. EcoZilla is a true competitor to the Seiko Tuna 300m. Only reason people compare it to the Monster is due to price points. Watch snobs will disagree, but it is what it is...

    WAY over-kill bezel and casing! As someone said, 300 meter is really disappointing, looking at the watch. It ought to be....like 1000 meter! Ought to be. By the way, compare to Seiko Lume, which one is brighter and last longer?
    By the way, it looks like a watch that a huge body builder might wear. good review. 7 out of 10!

      For diving in shallow Waters a divers computer is overkill these watches still do the job I use mines last year while on vacation. That's like saying the casual trap and skeet shooter needs a $40,000 shotgun not any pump will do

    • @eldiabolico3750
      @eldiabolico3750 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am a Divemaster and started diving in 2002. Navy dive tables are still part of getting certified BUT 90% of divers do not plan their dives in advance as a diving computer solves many inconveniences. Define shallow waters and define overkill. Specially on vacations, using a diving table is trickier as one must be familiar with the diving site in order to be able to program the diving profile safely. Any entry level diving computer will cost much less than this watch. I don’t kill animals so I have no clue about what a skeet shooter is... closing the fact that you decided to use your watch to dive doesn’t represent the majority of people. I’ve logged more than 5000 dives and very rarely a customer will wear only a normal watch. I dare you to try to use your watch in an unknown diving site and try to follow your preset diving profile. The computer’s algorithm is constantly adapting to the characteristics of your dive, in other words, much, much safer.
