Im curious is it ok to mix it with azul cichla - both juvenile

SICK BRUH YOU ROCK!👍🏿👊🏿🤙🏿

My dad gave me his 37 gallon aquarium. Im still learning more and more. This a list of what I want to get. What's your thoughts?
[1 or 3] Precos
[1] Yellow lab Cichlid, 2 Bosemani Rainbow, 2 Turquoise Rainbow
Red tail shark [1], Rosy barbs 2 Male 4 female
Amazon sword, Aponogeton crispus
20 power filter w/ Customized with Pre filter cylinder and Coarse sponge pad [Possible small sponge filter]
Food
API Stress coat
Bio balls
Small gravel
Hello, a few thinks to consider: firstly with pleco's you want to make sure you get a smaller species like bristle nose pleco's because common pleco's can grow over a foot and will be too large for a 37 gallon. Yellow labs are cool, but they won't get a long well with the other fish you want. They also need higher ph levels than the other fish, so perhaps you can scratch out the yellow lab and maybe substitute with a yellow convict cichlid or a rainbow cichlid (so that you still get the yellow color). Red tail sharks can be very territorial so they may not do good with those tank mates, and lastly with filtration its always a good idea to double or triple you gallon per hour rotation...so in a 37 gallon tank you'd do best with a filter the runs 100-150 gallons per hour
@@dwsdarius Well I found out today at my local Petsmart they dont carry any rainbow fish. So I am going to try and come up with some more ideas.
I want a center piece fish with a schooling fish and 3 bottom dwellers
What did you feed them as juveniles? Mine will only eat feeder guppies. please help
Just liked and subscribed!
Thanks!
What's the first song used please? Also amazing fish I wish I could keep some monster fish
Nice video bro
Thanks!
Makes me want to add one in my 125, suggestions on tank mates, now I just have a labichromis I just rehomed my large Buttikoferi.
What I throw with in there to feed them
Didn't realize you have peacocks......I'm building a 350gallon and getting one soon.....I want an Azul and monoculus!
Nice sir 👍🏽
Thank you!
Awesome Peacock man! Have you ever had Umbee? I just pick up 5 to grow out. I'll hit you up in 6 months to see if you want one.
Thanks, never kept an umbee before...they're beautiful though!
@@dwsdarius yeah they are. When they are big enough to sex I'll contact you and see if you want a nice male or female. I live in east PA so not too far away.
Awesome video bro....what did you feed him when he was 2-3inch??
He ate rosy red minnows, sometimes I hat to cut them down to size for him
The peacock bass fish’s color will color up more with dark substrate
Where can I get the big tub at the end of the video where you put your fish in?
I ordered that tank online from fishtanksdirect.com
When did you convert to frozen food? And what was your process?
Once mine was about 6 inches are started to train mine to eat raw. The trick is to try to make the food like like its alive, I tossed pieces of shrimp in front of my filter ouput and circulation pumps (where ever you have good water flow) and the current carries the shrimp making it look a live. It took a few tries but eventually he was hooked
What size tank did you have him in during the first stage?
55 gallon
What size is your tank again?
360 gallons, but I just say 350 gallons considering the space taken by the décor
Does it interect with you?
Now it does, but at the time of this video is was pretty shy. With these fish the best interactions come when you keep them alone as the only fish in the tank, when you keep them with multiple fish it takes longer for them to trust you because the entire tank has to trust you as a whole
What do I fed them I feed mine shrimp raw they get big on that and fkakes
Mine primarily eat smelt, a type of raw fish. I also feed hikari massivore delight
Is he bigger than the azul yet?
He will be soon, he's 15" today the Azul is still 16". He eats like a pig and is a lot more aggressive so I think in a month he'll be higher ranking and probably equal or larger in size
Hey man you ever thought of getting a big Jaguar cichlid for you tank?
I have a growing male, but my peacock bass are like kittens... I'm not sure how they would handle the aggression of a Jaguar
@@dwsdarius that's crazy because I've heard from anglers in the wild the peacock bass are very aggressive! You could have such a beast of a jaguar in that awesome big tank!
@@luigigreen9823 They are big eaters, but not big fighters. I have a female jag with them with no problems, maybe I'll give my male a try once he's big enough. I know when I tried to add my male festae a while back he being smaller than them chased them non stop
Can you help me my pbass monoc always dark color?
Time and hierarchy are what effect the amount of color a peacock bass show. Once a peacock bass reaches 13-14 inches or when ever they obtain dominance (could be even when they are small like 8 inches) they will color up
@@dwsdariussize of my pbass 8 inches but still dark color, even in the tail..there tank mate green arow.about 19 inches in length and albino tinfoil.does affect the color of my pbass?thanks
Its a female ?
Yes I believe so
Your ocellaris is not a ocellaris its a mono
