Thanks, the main reason why I stopped is because I don't keep the diversity of fish as I used to, but I'll try to think of some top 10 content with my current stock
@@dwsdarius thanks bro , and honestly your current stock aside , you have so much experience in fish keeping and have kept so much former stock that I’m sure you will be way better than the competition . Especially considering the facts that the way you format and present your videos are miles ahead of the competition in my opinion
Honestly my favourite tank that you have always love to see how the fish interact with one another, and I hope to one day have a tank big enough where I can keep these kind of cichlids. Great video!
Thank you, I love and hate this tank. They look awesome and are so smart, but sometimes too smart at figuring out how to get the upper hand over each other
very well communicated, love your commentary, I'm worried about the pearsii, she's getting scraped and beat up. She used to be so beautiful. It's sad but even a 350 G. tank isn't big enough for all these fish.
Thank you. Yes, and what makes it worst is that these fish hold grudges, so even if they lived in my 880 gallon she probably would still be harassed. The 125g will be a downgrade for her but I'll try to make it cozy for her
Thanks, she does attack the dominate males but mainly because they come to close to her territory. I think she's content with that spot and the position required to keep it. Had it been a male dovii he would have already been tank boss, or possibly the only fish left in the tank
DWS I was trying to see which cichlid stood out far as beauty I couldn't choose they all are fabulous but Dat female Polleni n Dovii personally I would have to find dem a male 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾on video
Great looking cichlids. How long would a vieja syn last in 75 gallon? The plan is doing lower Mexico 180 gallon setup before the end of the year, so hell be going into a 6ft tank.
Man... keeping cichlid is more than just keeping fish. You can actually observe their warfare unroll in your very tank. I don't keep community cichlid tank anymore because it hurt to see one get bet up to death. Now I keep dwarf cichlid in community tank but it not the same experience.
I love and hate it, sometimes their aggression makes me want to quit and turn the tank into a south american tank...but at the same time the intelligence that they show is why I stick with them
where do you buy your Viejas? since Cichlids of America stopped selling, I don't know where to get them. Most LFS won't have Argenteas or Bifasciatus...
The options a definitely fewer now. Wetspottropical fish get some in everynow and then, imperial tropicals keep vieja synspilum, zonatus and bifasciata. Tangledupincichlids has blackbelts and synspilum. Cichlids of the Americas had some unique specimen that sadly i believe won't be seen in the hobby again, do to new collection restrictions
They look great ! I have a Blackbelt and 2 Synspilum in my 300g. The Blackbelt outgrew the others quickly and became boss.
Thanks, yes black belts seem to be a tad bit more aggressive
Darius have you ever thought about bringing back your top ten videos? I really enjoyed them and I’m sure other people will as well!

Cichlids are fun to watch 👍🏾
They are so smart
Beautiful fish , fish room, commentary , and editing. Thanks for sharing your fish with us.
Thank you!
Gorgeous fish! I'd love to keep centrals one day.
Thank you, they are a fun category

@@dwsdarius cool. and good luck with it
Thank you for such a clear explanation of the hierarchy of your tank. BTW beautiful tank.
Thank you!
best tank to watch
Thanks!
02:11 My favourite personality in a fish is the one that breaks up the fights like this fish did.
Yes gotta love the peace makers
As always great video!
Thank you!
Lovely
Thanks!
Excellent video. That dovi isn’t in the running for the tank boss?

Thanks, yes I considered finding a match for the polleni, I don't have space for the dovii but she's one of my favorite fish so I may try to breed her

Thanks, mine grew an average of 2" per year, so I think around 7-8 " is pushing the limits of a 75 gallon tank, so about 3-4 years from 1" size
Beautiful fish bro. That is a male Dovii
Thanks, I had her for about 5 years I'm sure she's a female

What is the name of the fish that is similar to the fire mouth cichlid?
Blue flash cichlid, Thoricthys aureus
I see the Dovii in a prime realestate location..i wonder if the Dovii will soon take some one out...that's hard location to defend.
Despite her cheap shots at the tank bosses, I don't think she will kill anyone. She just keeps them out of her spot.
@@dwsdarius any chance of her and that hybrid beast you have on the bottom rack having their own tank..??

WE NEED FRONTOSA TANK!🔚
I want frontosa but if I keep them I'll have to break the rules and mix them with my new worlds.
