  • Hi guys,
I had a customers Honda CBR929RR Fireblade in for a service, valve clearances, fit supplied power commander, new battery and replacement swinging arm. I've broken this video down into 2 parts (skipping the boring service bits) Part 1 is valve clearance check and adjustment and part 2 will be the swinging arm replacement. I hope you enjoy the video, please like and subscribe as it helps my channel out massively 😁👍

it's a great video buddy and a awesome resource for a small pool of people, I understand there's many factors when it comes to making a video when it comes to how long it is and how long the process you're showing is but considering the rarity of the overall quality of the mechanic the shop the bike and the video I would've liked to seen it slower like if you would've walked us through it and showed us how to get the timing chain back on and what not, But that's what separates the boys from the men so five out of five stars from me brother great work thank you for this service.

OK after watching your video, I noticed that you did not do it like that but all the other videos say to do it like that so I'm trying to figure out why you would have to

I know nothing about bikes but I find these sort of videos really interesting from the engineering point of view. Just a note your background music overlapped a couple of times with you narration so made it difficult to hear. Any way, keep up the good work.

question, can you explain to me why you have to release tension on the cam chains to check the clearances between the cam lobes if it's timed and the cams are seated via the cam cap covers there wouldn't be any flex or rotation because they're seated and it's timed the chain tensioner takes up the slack below the cams and above the main sprocket down there, so I don't see why having it or not intention would have anything to do with the clearances between any of the lobes why would you have to release tension because then after you set it up you have to release the tension rotate the engine so that the cam chain doesn't skipand then you're supposed to union the chain again just to check the clearances. Why would you have to?

Great job but I'm very happy that I don't need that much performance to achieve my riding satisfaction. My older Moto Guzzi's fit my mechanical tuning skills and riding also. Enjoyed the video and RIDE SAFE OUT THERE!
