    Gentlemen, I just want to let you know how much I appreciate the quality of these reviews. As you certainly know, there are now dozens of vids out there on the new Wing, many of them pretty crudely done. Yours provide a great blend of casual rider-to-rider conversation, plus an excellent overview of features and functions, plus superb audio and video quality. Well done. I'm looking forward to the next installments!

    Impressed by the central control! And the ajustable windscreen is awesome design!

    Great videos and very informative. I like reviews that have a “I wish they...” comments on bikes and gear. Nothing is perfect and when I comparing reviews for future purchases, that would be very helpful. Almost every bike review I have seen from RD are all positive. Just some honest feedback, not to be interpreted in any way negative. Thanks and keep up the good work.

    God that thing is gorgeous. Love what Honda is doing these days. The older I get the more appealing this bike looks. Just wish I could afford one. Oh well one can dream!! Thanks for the review. Great as always. Be safe and ride often my friend.

    Great review. I just wish more manufacturers would work with Android. Apple is just not my thing. Also when are you guys going to do a review of the BMW K1600B? I would like to see how it compared to this Goldwing.

    Cool. I like the tech incorporated and love the blue. Looks like a good option for replacing a Victory tourer

    Great review. Nice bike and beautiful color but hate any non touch screen. Had a car with joy stick and voice control and hated it and will never get one again. It is so much slower than touch screen.

    Great job on the channel and the information given. Adam, would it be possible to incorporate a few statements on bike reviews about the viability of self-servicing the bike? Such as for those who change their own oil and other minor things. Maybe give oil capacity, filter type and how accessible it is, other maintenance comments. Much appreciated.

    • @RidersDomain
      @RidersDomain  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a great suggestion. We'll keep that in mind for future review/ test videos. As far as the Gold Wing maintenance goes, the oil capacity changes significantly between models so my best recommendation is to take a look at an online shop manual based on what you're looking to purchase. With any Honda, filters are going to be readily accessible from several different brands, especially when we're talking about one of their most popular bikes in a new model.

    Looks like a great touring bike but I bet in a few years time a bigger fuel tank and more luggage capacity will be part of the gen II upgrades!

    For the price of this bike, the audio system is honestly not good its ok at best..
    Another negative is the windscreen its not optically clear. Other than that i found no real major issues

      Great question Alfonso. The Gold Wing is for folks looking for something a little more high-tech and sporty, while the Star Venture is for those looking for a more classic, yet still very modern V-Twin luxury touring experience.

    Did you have the four way flashers on while riding? Or was that another lighting option the way they were flashing looked strange???

    • @MJT-DA
      @MJT-DA 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lloyd Moore It's because the camera cannot refresh at the rate that leds do therefore looks like they are flashing in person they don't do this

  • @saddle8bag

    I want to see how easy/difficult it is to remove/install the trunk. Also, heard another reviewer comment that the new front end felt unusual when ridden at low speed. Any thoughts?
    Do those passenger grab rails pop out?

    • @RidersDomain
      @RidersDomain  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We had the same experiences at low speed as well. No, the handles do not pop out. In our big overview video coming soon, we will hear from our videographer and passenger on this trip. She breaks down how they felt and the experience overall.

    what are the OEM tires? mileage you can get on the tires? major service intervals?

    • @RidersDomain
      @RidersDomain  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The OEM tires on this bike are the Bridgestone Exedra G853 and G852. Mileage on tires like that can vary significantly based on how you ride, road conditions, whether or not you have a passenger etc- based on my experience you're looking at between 9k and 16k. Obviously some outliers may get a little more or less, but for a heavier touring bike that's a common range on Exedras. For service intervals your best bet is to look in a manual so you can see all of them at once!

  • @roadglide
    @roadglide 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Intuitive is good. Being able to touch screen operate may not be such a good idea unless you are parked. The more “hands free” technology things go the higher the liability for the manufacturer. I’m thinking Honda has the big picture here. So keeping Safety in the forefront of everything and thus hands on the bars was the thinking.

    I love Honda but that lack of luggage capacity is an absolute deal breaker for me on an otherwise brilliant touring bike.

    • @essaniamine
      @essaniamine 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Moto Mike this bike has tech but is cheaper than other competitors who schedule your next visit their garage.
      Honda is really a good brand.

    • @steelbraided
      @steelbraided 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree Honda is a good brand - I own three!! But I use my 2012 Wing to tour, and adequate luggage capacity in my opinion is the cost of entry in this segment.

    This is a nice bike if you like the st1300 or the FJR. It has lost so much storage, something they never show you in the reviews, that you will have to start strapping down bags where your wife is supposed to sit. Keep the extra gallon and give it more range on a tank of fuel. It needs it. Less fairing in front of you to stop the wind. Bonuses - better suspension and lighter machine. It has a little bit more power.

      Paul sweet I think they did a good job don't know what you're going on about. It has 10% increase in power. Electric suspension, heated grips cruise control, abs, radio, and apple car play. What else can you ask for it?

      and less luggage capacity and less fuel tank, tell me how is that making it better?, they could just added the tech and upgrade the face a little and keep the one of the most important features this genre of motorcycle have, and that is luggage capacity and range.
