Hey man if you have time for it there's actually a documentary about the community and its history called "The Smash Brothers" and the quality is also really great. It might take a few hours but I think it'll be worth your time if you liked this :) Leffen is not in it because his breakthrough was around 2014/2015 while the documentary came out in 2013 I believe but they're making a continuation which will have him in it :D
It's a game that it shamed for being a "party" game even though it takes more tech skill and knowledge than most other fighting games, if you want I can send you a link for the stuff for netplay
Why are so many people mad about this being not league? TSM is a ORGANIZATION, not just some random team playing league competitively, you are on the channel of the Organization so you can expect every game they are competitive in.
You should definitely check out the Smash Bros. Documentary. It shows how this game went from just a party game to the eSport it is today. Its about 4 hours long, but its done in episodes so you can watch it over a few days if you want. Definitely worth getting through, its great.
Sanosai go to Facebook or Google and type in your location or nearest big city followed by melee for example if you lived in London it would search for London melee and find groups where people advertise tournaments. If your location doesn't have a melee scene search for your country's scene instead. :)
I love the inclusion of the other top players from the other teams - C9 Mang0, Liquid Hungrybox.. this series has so much potential. As a lover of melee, I can't wait for episode 2.
Great content, I really enjoyed watching this. Leffen has been a favorite player of mine to watch, and I'm looking forward to seeing his journey documented.
I lol'd when they were talking about johnny in the 3rd person like he isn't there, then the camera pans over to show he was sitting by himself at a table the whole time
I like the confused comments about Smash y'all. I like that you guys are learning about it. Smash is all about the community and this series might rope some people in. This makes me happy. (Hbox forever tho lmao. Sorry Leffen still like you don't worry hahahaha)
I like how a decent chunk of the video is about how people are nice and welcoming in the melee community because you have to sit next to the person you're playing even though this series is about the one guy who got banned from the community for being hateful and unwelcoming to people.
Evil Westbrook it's pretty relevant. I even explained the relevance in the comment. I like leffens role in the community and enjoy what he brings, but I find it pretty ironic that they are talking about how nice all the members of the community are in a video about leffen, the villain of the community.
BBarbs I think one thing about it is that he has reformed sooooo much. It is more Hbox who is a villain in many people's eyes. So I think him being banned if anything is why he should be doing this. He would be someone who understands the difference between online trash talk and playing in tournaments really well. So while POSSSIBLY ironic, doesn't change that he is a good candidate
John Miller well that depends. Leffen really used to be a villain mostly cuz of his personality, he was a real douche back in the day. Now he's more chill and respectful. With Hungrybox, as far as we can see he's a pretty respectful and nice guy. The only reason that people really consider him a "villain" is cuz of his playstyle with Puff. Where the majority of people watching melee expect fast intense action, Hungrybox's playstyle is like the opposite. He's more patient and defensive and since the majority aren't really fans of his playstyle he receives a lot of hate for it. As a result he has become more of a "villain"
lodgy some people have. Not just twitch chat, even in the Leffen Red Bull documentary Toph stated that 2 of the people that could be labeled as a villain in the community were Leffen and Hbox
I was at power 9 that day, super difficult to play some friendlies since about 100 were there, but had a good time interacting with everyone nonetheless. Leffen is a beast btw
I agree that top players should still come to locals from time to time. I don't go to my local very often but I actually got to meet Hungrybox at my local tournament once.
"There might be a few netplay shitters who sit online and they talk trash and they think they're all that, but once they get offline they're nice." You mean .zip era Leffen?
For those who don't know the Asian guy of 0:22, he is the one who got wombo combo'ed for the first time in gaming history Poor Zhu v:
Lmao
Mang0: how do you say his name?
Leffen: Bjergson
Mang0: Burger Jenson?
new meme
now we need to raid his stream and call him that
What minute
9:27

B O N E L E S S P I Z Z A
i have no clue who these guys are but the content is very high quality so i like it :D

Avis d'Ailleurs Oh boy, welcome to Smash.
It's a game that it shamed for being a "party" game even though it takes more tech skill and knowledge than most other fighting games, if you want I can send you a link for the stuff for netplay
Avis d'Ailleurs You should look into melee. The smash documentary and grsmash (a youtuber) are good places to start
Thx for the input ill have a look at the documentary and maybe try the game sometimes.
Please, even if the views go down don't stop it, I really like it
why's Johnny sitting on his own lmao
ZYX Ari ikr
It's so he doesn't get punched in the nuts again
Didn't meet the donation goal
Cause he wanted to, Johnny is authentic af.
I'm glad they're finally making Leffen a series. He's needed one for a while imo.
Why are so many people mad about this being not league? TSM is a ORGANIZATION, not just some random team playing league competitively, you are on the channel of the Organization so you can expect every game they are competitive in.
I don't watch or play any fighting games but I'll watch this.
HellkillerOwnage watch Leffen vs Mango Genesis 4
Jonathan Condor That set was so good
Watch Chillen Vs Leffen LUL.
You should definitely check out the Smash Bros. Documentary. It shows how this game went from just a party game to the eSport it is today. Its about 4 hours long, but its done in episodes so you can watch it over a few days if you want. Definitely worth getting through, its great.
Both of those are good sets to learn about Leffen, rofl.
"Leffen is the best melee player at everything except 'Bad Melee'." Most accurate description ever
>mid set coaching
>cuts to hbox and crunch
kek
These story style videos with several interviews are my absolute favorite. Such good work, and truly immaculate quality
Hey this game looks fun. Where can i find my local scene?
Sanosai go to Facebook or Google and type in your location or nearest big city followed by melee for example if you lived in London it would search for London melee and find groups where people advertise tournaments. If your location doesn't have a melee scene search for your country's scene instead. :)
/r/smashbros and /r/SSBM have links to regional and school based facebook groups and discords.
Hey that was fast and easy. Thanks a lot!
the game has a pretty large learning curve, dont get discouraged! best of luck
Fox doesn't have a short jump, right? How do they jump so low then?
14:00 Oooooo Max get your focus right boi!
Beautiful production quality.
im surprised this comment has only 3 likes
So is Hjelte going to be like Legends? Because I hope this continues forever

I love the inclusion of the other top players from the other teams - C9 Mang0, Liquid Hungrybox.. this series has so much potential. As a lover of melee, I can't wait for episode 2.
"every league player I've met looks dead inside" - Mango 2017
My favorite anime villain
I love Leffens hair
so hyped for the rest of the series
Great content, I really enjoyed watching this. Leffen has been a favorite player of mine to watch, and I'm looking forward to seeing his journey documented.
"any good league player... they're dead on the inside"
THE TRUTH
This was one of the best videos i have seen in my life, well done.
Hair tutorial leffen please?
I like their approach on this. Not diving too deep into melee yet, but explaining how the scene works first.
11:20 where did lucky get this shirt? I am buying one.
TrickyBen following!
Here you go: www.teepublic.com/user/lombardiclothingco
i see this game for the first time ever, looks nice for me :^)
jad ebezbaunsu if you got the time, i reccomend watching the smash brothers documentary. It's basically the history of melee from start to 2013 :)
i definietly will, thanks for respond ^.^
Or just watching some cool games overall are really hype like Leffen vs Mango Genesis 4
There should be a series that involves Leffen, Mango, Johnny and Lucky just talking
Im a simple man i see grass i like
Love Johnny donation goals
wait people have never seen melee or smash???
WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE DO AT PARTIES INSTEAD
Best part was Tafo speaking fluidly
I lol'd when they were talking about johnny in the 3rd person like he isn't there, then the camera pans over to show he was sitting by himself at a table the whole time
Fucking S2J with the chipotle sub goals
Every league player i meet there dead on the inside lmao.
Why is the pepsi cup blurred out? Not only that, but why is it not even blurred out enough to disable us from seeing what it is? 10:18
i want 10 hours of mango and leffen havin a chat
That was really good, keep at it.
Aww cmon don't leave the cliffhanger on hbox. What did he come up with?
Can we get one for zero ?
This makes me frown and smile at the same time
I hated young Leffen, but recently he's become my favourite player. Love this type video, hopefully it'll introduce more people to the melee scene :)
Mang0 and Johnny are the real heros of this episode
3:42 "I should have just went straight up!"
I like the confused comments about Smash y'all. I like that you guys are learning about it. Smash is all about the community and this series might rope some people in.
This makes me happy.
(Hbox forever tho lmao. Sorry Leffen still like you don't worry hahahaha)
really well done, great production
What song starts playing around 5:05?

Aldo Raine lmao
Good work, keep it up
SoCal showing up full force with the trash talk LOL
I like how a decent chunk of the video is about how people are nice and welcoming in the melee community because you have to sit next to the person you're playing even though this series is about the one guy who got banned from the community for being hateful and unwelcoming to people.
BBarbs I like how thats irrelevant
Evil Westbrook it's pretty relevant. I even explained the relevance in the comment. I like leffens role in the community and enjoy what he brings, but I find it pretty ironic that they are talking about how nice all the members of the community are in a video about leffen, the villain of the community.
BBarbs Its irrelevant
Evil Westbrook ahh, you're right, my b
BBarbs I think one thing about it is that he has reformed sooooo much. It is more Hbox who is a villain in many people's eyes. So I think him being banned if anything is why he should be doing this. He would be someone who understands the difference between online trash talk and playing in tournaments really well. So while POSSSIBLY ironic, doesn't change that he is a good candidate
10:34 Is Mang0 looking kind of shredded?
The first two minutes were really sick
Leffen salty he didn't get a smash documentary episode so tsm made him one 😂
this makes me want to get into melee
lil broomstick pleas do
lil broomstick same but my area is a deadzone for videogames in general
Can we get a vid of Leffen v Zero on eachother's game? It would be so amazing.
Leffen got 3rd at B.E.A.S.T 5 in Smash 4 while ZeRo was Top 40 in Melee when he played. It would be very intriguing.
The Internet Pacifist smash4 just came out at the time lmao a lot has changed
I'm trying to be an optimist.
damn son leffen cute as heck whew
Let's go leffen!
TSM destroys CLG on lol and on Smash
them hanging out was the highlight of this
Instant kreygasm when I see a new melee mini series
Im happy that you include mango alot
"Leffen is a little fuckhead" -Mang0 2k17
I LOVE LEFFEN
This was fantastic
"Swedish Dickhead" - Westballz 2017
Leffen is no longer the villain. That belongs to Hungrybox.
John Miller no. Hbox never was out right mean to anybody. Leffen was a douche. Saying hbox is a villin is ignorant
He's more patient and defensive and since the majority aren't really fans of his playstyle he receives a lot of hate for it. As a result he has become more of a "villain"
R1sKY_NJ never heard of someone calling hbox a villain
lodgy some people have.
Johnny's chipotle sub goal lmfaoooo
saw leffen's last name and clicked on the video
I agree that top players should still come to locals from time to time. I don't go to my local very often but I actually got to meet Hungrybox at my local tournament once.
Hes actually one of my fav players, hes such a boss
Does anyone mind giving me a list of all the songs they used?
Awesome video! Keep up the cool content :3
I follow both lcs and ssb so this is great
The piece of food in Mang0's beard drove me nuts.
Is this game like some ancestor of Brawlhalla?
Yoko^ smash is the god
Yoko^ You have to be bullshitting right now.
brawlhalla is fucking dogshit compared to melee
Brawlhalla is fucking garbage to smash
Yoko^ ??????????????????????????
Leffen and Mango are fuckin' bros and it's trully awesome!
"There might be a few netplay shitters who sit online and they talk trash and they think they're all that, but once they get offline they're nice." You mean .zip era Leffen?
who's the guy at 0:22 ??
Zhu, the man who got destroyed by the original Wombo Comob.
Akali LoL he was also a top player. Top ten falco all time
I need the music to this.
To help people recognize some of these players:
"Wombo Combo'd" Zhu
"Hey OddOne wana hang?" Mang0
"20XX" Hax$
"addie boisss" Westballz
KillerResistance mang0 was the one in the womb combo video going "wtf man!"
KillerResistance mang0 also goes "we're all a little bit hard" in the end
Need to know the songs! First one especially! D:
he doesnt want to get complacent, i respect that
I lost it when I realized Johnny was in the restaurant.
Do they have Pepsi blurred out?
Tiger Yin because they didnt pay them not to
Pretty cool for Mango to agree to be in a video for another team.
What did Mango say Johnny's 7 dollar donation goal was?
Daily Chipotle
Who is writing these names for the series?
Timothy Oen that's his name
