    I just bought my first roll of cinestill 800t and I’m not sure if I should load it into Pentax K1000 since I can adjust manually. I wanted to put it in my automatic Nikon L35Aaf but not sure if that might come out to blurry.

    • @film_friends
      @film_friends  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      you are worried about the camera reading the roll wrong?

  • @katerina522
    @katerina522 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    If you wanted to capture the photos handheld without a tripod, would you recommend pushing it one stop to have a higher shutter speed to avoid blurriness? New to film so trying to figure out shooting at night!

    • @film_friends
      @film_friends  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. rather underexpose it and then bring up that stop in developing. its hard to do that well though and a lot of films dont like it. try a tripod. or if you wanna be faster a monopod

    Hey there! I’ve been following you since very long time bcoz i really love your work like everything perfect with analog photography
    I’ve been in this analog photography from past 3-4 years & still not perfect like you amazing people & also film photography is not easy in my country India bcoz of expired rolls & no perfect cameras gets here
    I really find inspiration from my out of country film photographers like one of you
    Actually from so many days I’m looking hardly for Cinestill 800t here in India but it’s not available I want to shoot here Monsoon Nights in Mumbai as monsoon started & this concept no one have done here
    So it’ll be really unique content if I’ll be creating if I gets this camera & specially Cinestill 800T rolls
    Hoping for positive some vibes

    Hey, loved the shots and even enjoyed the 4:3 composition even a bit more, IMO. Quick question, I want to shoot a video with the cinestill 800t sometime this week at night but it'll be pouring rain. I love the aesthetic it can give especially with reflections but I'm worried shooting too slow might make my shots a bit messy with the rain. Do you have any tips or tricks in regards to shooting at night when it rains heavily? Thanks :)

    • @film_friends
      @film_friends  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You deff gonna get some streaking and some movement from the rain. But that might be awesome. I would just say make sure you camera is steady while it’s raining. So keep the wind and rain off it. You can’t recover from a shaky camera but image blur from action looks great!

    Film has always been a bit of a foreign dream to me. I’ve used a Polaroid camera before, but that’s about the closest I’ve gotten. Film cameras always feel a bit harder to approach, and actually getting a camera for it has always been a barrier of entry for me. But winning this giveaway would get rid of that issue!
    I would definitely use it to take pictures of my friends when we hang out. I already do that with my Polaroid camera, but it would be super interesting to have actual film to look over and view later.

    I had my eye on this exact film camera for a few months now, and have been waiting for extra pocket money to spend on it. So stumbling upon this giveaway is absolutely insane! It was for sure meant to be. As for what I would use it for, I’m going on a 36 hour road trip from The east coast to the west coast and I’d love to have a film camera that would document the different landscapes and environments. Additionally, it’s the last trip I’ll be on with my family before I go to college and I think having this camera would allow me to capture some beautiful moments that I could always go back to when I’m homesick.

      @@film_friendsI’ve done quite a bit of research on different brands and models, but after reading countless amounts of positive reviews + a friend’s recommendation on the Olympus om-1, I feel like it’s calling my name lol. It seems like the perfect camera to start with without it being too overbearing, but will also stay with me for a long time. Asides from all the technical qualities that make the Olympus OM-1 a solid camera, its just gorgeous to look at and is compact enough for traveling.
