Lets not give the devil more power by accepting but talking abt our struggle in a better way. We will win with positive mind set. All they had to do was go with his ID to home affairs and they would've been able to trace his mother and siblings. Just like that girl Sibongile on last of last week's episode. She was able to trace that her mother passed away and that she had an older half sister and a half brother. They never even tried to find his family.

She has half siblings from her father as well as cousins, imagine she starts dating someone only to find out that person is her relative. Not knowing is what causes people a lot of pain. Not knowing is what kills a lot of people. At least knowing what became of that absent parent and why they left/weren't there brings one closure.

If you know your father’s surname, it’s nearly impossible to have any coalition with cousins, half brothers etc. For my own sanity, I wouldn’t bother looking for a person who didn’t care if I, bathed, ate or was educated. To offer all that to me as an adult (this is what they usually do),would be pointless. You let your anger/reasons for staying away, cloud your judgement, all in the name of revenge.

She even looked visibly relieved after she asked her father the questions she had for him. She was able to really pour her heart out to him and that alone is cathartic. It was a confrontation that needed to happen. For some people this is what's needed to set them free. This thing is not easy waitsi. Also sometimes finding the person and hearing what led to them leaving helps. I always look at stories like this on Khumbulekhaya and try to think what it was like back then. Especially because a lot of these parents disappeared or walked away prior to 1994. It was so easy to lose contact with someone during those years. The law of the land at the time didn't help matters either. Sometimes it's as simple as that. I believe that mothers and fathers are women and men before they are parents. They are human beings who also have their own pain that has nothing to do with their kids. There are always reasons why the choose to be they way they are.
