    Very well done. Some of the comments that you made were especially helpful:
    1 Don’t go poking around.
    2 It’s ok to leave a little CLP on the pistol as it will continue to break down carbon.
    3 it’s not necessary to keep patching until you get a spotless patch.
    4 Add some oil to friction points on the barrel.
    You have me talked into getting some CLP to compare it to the Hoppe’s 9 that I am currently using.

    • @pierreaston7709
      @pierreaston7709 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you havent already, grab the APEX trigger and striker when you can. It makes a huge difference. The 509 Tactical is a great gun, but those 2 components are lacking. The trigger is doodoo and the striker has the tendency to snap. Mine did before 500 rounds. The Striker block spring also seems to have evaporated, so I grabbed the APEX slide maintenance spring kit as well. Unfortunately, FN America only offers the 509 armorers class to LEOs, but if we get enough people asking them to do one for civilians they will consider it.

      @@stanleywrubel8920 If you havent done it yet, get the Apex trigger, striker, and slide maintenance spring kit. My striker block spring seems to have evaporated when the striker snapped. FN will repair it for free if its the striker but you have to send the entire firearm in.
