Thanks man. THis helped me do the initial cleaning on mine. I didnt realize they come coated in cosmoline to prevent rust to i bought CLP and came to this video to help. Its only my 2nd firearm. Video was thorough and to the point

This is truly an excellent instructional video. Now I am very confident cleaning my FN 509 Tactical. Question - why is the trigger pull on this gun so heavy (7lbs), and how to improve it?
Need help getting the mag out back together. Had to take it apart because my brother dumped the mag into a pile of dirt. Got dirt all in the mag. Opened it, cleaned it bud can’t get it to latch back on the bottom correctly.
I came here looking for why I wasn't able to release my slide, wondering if there was something that I was missing. Turns out I was, I needed to slide the action back just a little before pressing the trigger and then let it slide the rest of the way off.
Been waiting for over two weeks on my background check, starting to really worry biden is going to screw me on my 509 tactical with vortex viper pre installed
