    Thanks Walter. I've dabbled with Midi pickup systems for guitars since about 2006 and have always been disappointed in the tracking and latency. I've used Roland GK3 on my electrics and ofcourse the RMC on my Godin Multiac. The Multiac is decent but neither the tracking speed and accuracy we good enough nor was I entirely happy with the Piezo acoustic guitar sound. This looks like a nice upgrade. Thanks for the demo. And as always - great and expressive guitar playing!

    Great video Walter. I have a Go Acoustic system in several guitars, both nylon and steel string. Just fantastic and highly recommended. BTW, I also have 2 wonderful guitars built by Paul McGill, the legendary luthier and founder of Go Acoustic.
    Thanks, John

    great! I do not understand how midi tracking is improved as midi tracking is done in the GR33 and the go acoustic product seems to be only a preamp for the piezo transducers.

    • @conecaster

      Flexeos, to answer your question I thought I would join in here. Digital conversion means a signal must be isolated before conversion from its analog source. The more clearly the signal is presented the faster the digital conversion processing can happen through the converter. So tracking has much to do with the clarity of the signal and the latency required to convert that signal. It is generally considered that any digital signal path will have a min. of an 8 mili second delay.
      Go Acoustic has a very clear signal path, that Walter relates to here as better tracking with less bleed over between notes. This can be seen on a computer screen and manually repaired. This has been a issue with midi guitarist since it was introduced. Response delay and bleed over of frequencies between notes.

    Thanks a lot for the great and inspired demonstration. I am just wondering if the hiss in the acoustic sound of the Godin comes from compression and EQ or is it in the system like this? Keep up your wonderful musical work!

    • @walterfingerstyle

      Thanks for watching! The system is very quiet, the hiss was most likely a synth sound that was bleeding from the GR-33, I probably didn't turn it all the way down.

      The regular guitar sound with the Go Acoustic Audio is way more natural compared to the Godin with RMCs. As for midi, the tracking feels more responsive and accurate. For the specs between both systems please reach out to them at www.goacousticaudio.com. I'm sure they will be happy to help you with any questions you might have 👍🏻

    Hey man - when you're playing the Godin clean, why is there so much hiss?

    • @walterfingerstyle

      It sounds like something from the GR-33 was bleeding, the sound of the Godin alone is very quiet. I only noticed that after I had posted the video.

    Could the MIDI aspect also be installed on the Cordoba GK Pro as well ? Or should he installed in solid body nylon string guitars only ?

    • @walterfingerstyle

      Absolutely, a special midi install can be done on the Cordoba. I plan to do that in the future.

    Can that be used with third party plug ins for example Ample Sound Taylor 12 strings???

      If you connect the Roland GR to the computer via midi, all the virtual instruments should work.

    Walter.

      The system is very responsive. Compared to the Godin Poly drive / RMC, I feel it tracks faster, hard to tell just by listening, but I can feel the difference when playing. Also, the settings / adjustments on the unit (Roland GR-33 in my case) are very important to get the best midi response.
