It's cheaper. Could be they just don't care. Sorta like people who throw their trash out the window. Like b, there are trash cans everywhere, walk up to one like everybody else.
@@dark12ain Actually yeah, only drivers with gas stations or gas to travel to find one. It peters out real fast in the country. I wish there were recycling bins, at least for aluminum cans .
@@FerrisSOCAL yeah I hear they are turning Detroit around starting with the downtown area and I like that. I'd rather see empty lots than empty buildings just sitting
Man, it was dangerous and fucked up soon after it opened. I've lived there a few times when it was new. The whole area has turned to shit, just like most of Houston. I've lived here for 70 years,in the same house since 57. On the Northside. We were happy when it first opened because it was the only game in town. Before, we had to go to Northline .
the owner is supposed to board them up , and then tear them down and either sell the land or build a new apartment building . The owner is responsible for whatever happens on this horrible property. Cheapskate landlords . so cheap
They have the power to apply for grants in any town. We across the country are going homeless with the already homeless because past admins fed and state have NOT battled the homeless issue prior to covid and now with mother nature and economy it's worse. God bless you all.
Baby it's abandoned. You have poor ignorant people living out there in that area a lot of them. That is how ignorant people act. It's not because most of them are probably black it's because most of them were raised in an environment in which they act like that. Greenspoint is a horrible area not because of the area itself is because of the people who all moved out there. Crazy and ignorant people have to go somewhere and live.
Just a shame city leaders allowed this to happen. If this was Montrose or The Heights they would've been taking action. Houstonians need to get out and vote aggressively. Get the mayor out of here. Houston doesn't need him. he's old, out of touch, and not innovative enough to rebuild this city. Get him out of here. This should not be happening.
It started with black's moving there years ago. The folks there were crime infested throughout! You also have the gang's in that area, the greens point posse! At night there it is extremely dangerous there! I used to live at the Oaks of Greens point back in the late 70's.
hotbed for crime? Just like the city, DA and judges like it. So it's working out perfect.
Idk why they allow buildings dilapidated and empty to sit for years. What do you expect.

Even Detroit eventually just rolled entire city blocks to get rid of vacant houses. Maybe do that?

Why not tear it down? I don’t understand. What if kids go in there and get hurt? This is terrible.
What? So your saying there are parents who teaches their kids to go into abandoned houses?
Crackhead paradise in gunspoint 😅
Do one on alief. It ain't nothing but dilapidated apartments and the grass is like 3 feet high 😆

@Kruimeltjelief No..not necessarily. The owners/corporation made application to the govt and qualified to take section 8 vouchers.
They don't have to care, they don't live there.
I knew someone who lived there in the 90s. Did not even know that place had been condemned.
Thats why we need to vote foe a different party mayor !!!!
Thought Lina and then were supposed to rip these down with that billion dollar bond?
