They are trying to do this in every area of the country, not just in that area. They will not leave people alone and are constantly calling, day and night, sending letters, flyers in the mail, etc. If they buy your home, they will not give you enough money to purchase another home for CASH in another area. They are only giving out 'low ball' prices for homes.
The investment companies are advertising that people want to "rent" and that home ownership is no longer a thing. they are trying to make the US a 'renter nation to benefit their bottom line.' Who are they to decide what "YOU' want in your life. They don't live in your area, nor do they want to. Then everyone talks about 'homelessness,' oh really. I think the tactics that are being played out everywhere are contributing to it.
If you don't make 6 figures in this country, you are considered non-existent in this country anymore..

Not all HOA's are bad. The problem is Humans... not HOA's in theory. HOA's can do things like making sure that Deed Restrictions (which are what these dummy's in the video are actually talking about--not "city codes") are renewed and updated and enforced. If this area had an active (and intelligent) HOA, their Deed Restrictions would not have expired and they would have legal grounds for stopping this type of (perfectly legal) redevelopment of their ghetto.

So they finally are getting to my old neighborhood huh? I never intended to live over there ever again once we moved away. I had no intention of ever going back. But I still have a lot of family over there and my family owns houses over there. So either they're going to gentri fry the area or it's just going to end up run down again. Gentrification is both good and bad. It makes everything unaffordable for those who live over there, but it also makes the area nicer so I don't know how I feel. Yeah that neighborhood has expanded even since I was a kid. One of the things that's different from me and a lot of my friends is that yeah, even though I grow up in the hood, I grew up in a house my whole life. I didn't live in an apartment until I became an adult and an apartment isn't entirely different beast. So yeah it was the hood but I always had a front yard a backyard. I remember we had orange trees, raspberry and all kind of other fruit growing in our yard and those are experiences not everyone gets to have
