When Senestro told Hall that they'll always be friends, I actually shed a tear.
Sinestro's last line to Hal is so epic and sad. Always brings a tear to my eye.
Geoff Johns is very proud of that part too lol
Is Geoff Johns a big DBZ fan? Cuz Sinestro was STRAIGHT UP Vegeta through this entire arc.
I love that line. It is one of my favorite moments in all of comics.

This by far is one of my most favorite storys of one of my favorite DC heroes. and it has one of the most perfect endings one could ask for in a comic as epic as this.
***** Oh, Green Lantern stories are always pretty epic. Tt's rather telling that the DC crossover event that is widely considered to be the best is Blackest Night, a Green Lantern story!

It feels like I have just watched the greatest blockbuster movie ever and it has come to a close. Geoff Johns run was truly epic and fully showed how much the Lanterns are badasses.
This story. It took the crucial parts involving Sinestro to get me to almost cry. I almost broke into tears when Sinestro was treated badly by his planet, when his planet was destroyed, and when he responded to Hal Jordan,"The Tragedy is, We'll always be friends." That part hit me hard. I felt the water works running as he said that. Out of all of the Lanterns. I have the most in common and empathize the most with Sinestro.
I personally like more the story of Atrocitus, how they develop the character

Davon Dabney Yea and at the end when Sinestro brings Ganthet to Sayd, Ganthet asks him why he let him live and Sinestro replies with "because I know what it's like to lose it all."
Oh and obviously we released this early, it was supposed to come out Friday. Worked on it all weekend to get it out early for you.

Damn DC....this was EPIC. I always used to think Marvel held the title of epic stories but after Injustice and this i'm starting to think otherwise.

now that Geoff is leading the way for WB. and that the next Green lantern movie will be called Green Lantern Corps. that opens so many stories and characters.

I'm seriously wondering this: can anything top the Geoff Johns run on GL? I can hardly think of a time that I've seen this kind of passion in comic book writing in a DC book about a major character in ages. Like he took classic mythos and characters and added and built on and strengthened the lore. I never was as knowledgeable about GL until I found his arcs but I find them epic.
Nightman221k DnA's run on Nova and other Marvel characters is the closest I can think off in terms of cosmic space galore, but I still think Geoff Johns' run on GL is outright amazing.
The lantern stories are so epic better than any one comic ever. All their arcs are amazing so many characters to but batman is still my favorite lol

I stayed up all night reading this arc when I first got into comic books and I still get goosebumps over Sinestro's character development, his relationship with Hal, the trails the First Lantern puts everyone through, and just that epilogue. Thank you SO MUCH.
That final line between Hal and Sinestro.... That gave me shivers, goosebumps, chills.... um... "The Feels" I think is what the kids call it.
But... wasn't it Sinestro who killed the old Guradians? That's how i remember it, and also, the evil face in the picture has YELLOW, not red light.

Dude this was the most amazing story series I've ever seen. 10 out of 10. I'm serious when I say you could be a professional narrator. Now, in regards to your next series, Zero year seems like a logical choice, since it ran for a very long time, and would take 2 or 3 episodes to complete. Think about it, and again, your stories rock

+Symbiote God Hal is the central character of the Green Lantern mythos. They are not doing anything without him. That might actually explain Green Lantern's absence in the Justice League movie. If they thought Hal was interchangeable they would've just put Stewart or someone else in the Justice League. They didn't, so whatever they plan on doing with GL in the future, it's not proceeding without Hal.

This was one of my favorite GL stories. Hal's and Sinestro's last lines to each other was amazing. It was something that probably no one expected, but the emotion portrayed in it was intense. The other part that made me enjoy Sinestro even more, was when they hinted that he was the Bookkeeper of Oa. Deep down, it seems like he'll always be a GL in one way or another.
Green Lantern was the one character i fell in love instantly when i first saw it. Never have i been treated to such an incredibly awesome amount of epic green lantern stories.
This was amazing. Thank you Geoff Johns for the story and thank you Comicstorian for your entire channel.

Also,it's not the first time a Black Lantern hero resurrect thanks to a Power Ring! (Wonder Woman,"killed" in Blackest Night,and resurrected with a Star Sapphire ring)
It was because he was reunited with his younger self. Hal as a child represented the early innocence of an individual who would subsequently experience every aspect of the emotional spectrum but it never changed his core. Volthoom needed that as the final ingredient to achieve ultimate power. So when Hal destroyed Volthoom, he was reunited with his younger self, which gave him back his life and a random GL ring turned him into Green Lantern again.

Well, what disappoints me about the series is that Kyle didn't have much of a role in this. You'd think that a White Lantern would have more of a role in the story.

I agree. It seems like his arch was very anti-climactic. I kinda wish he, Hal and a few other major players were responsible for the fall of Valthoom rather than it just being Hal (so to speak)
Lamin Turay well they are special in different ways and although it was a all lantern arc hal is the lantern connecting every latern and he died but kyle hasn't but how he came back from the dead by having no fear after dying is ? ......

You should read the Relic and Godhead story line. He plays a much more important role but still he doesn't appear that much compared to Hal Jordan.
Okay not the biggest green lantern fan (red lantern is more my style). But that was a pretty epic arc. Would love to seem ore story arcs like this.

I have been following this since the beginning and Green Lantern have always been the thing that got me into comics and things like that and I just want to thank you for this because this is just a very cool story that I never had the chance to read and I hope you do more of these.
