I don't know, as a passenger myself there is something calming about boarding and taking off at evening/night. I can't explain it but it just make more calm
I reckon it’s because it’s harder to see what’s going on, so your subconscious doesn’t really kick in like it does when you see the ground at 100mph below you out the window

Not really, modern aircrafts are very much helped by computers to reduce human errors. One fatal mistake may be dangerous, yes. But one (or dozens) non-fatal mistake is not endangering anyone.
Folks commenting about when it starts to take off, about fear of flying, about TH-cam recomendations, but very few commenting on how beaultifull is the cockpit, the CRM, the lights, the moon, and how amazing flying is. Thanks for the trip Mr Guillaume Laffon, this was very nice.
I had a takeoff from Paris CDG at 10 pm. It has been an unforgettable experience and I hope I’ll be able to do it again. From the airplane I was able to see tour Eiffel, Parc des Princes and also Louvre museum. Oh yeah it was at 10 pm so Paris was illuminated.
My grandfather was a captain for air france and he also flew 777's. I got to take off in the cockpit from Paris many times! Perhaps you know him? His name is Pierre Cornu, retired now of course. My favorite take off was on a stormy summer day in paris. It was grey and raining but when we flew through the clouds the sun shined bright as we flew past the puffs of cumulonimbus clouds on each side of the plane!! Amazing
I'm fascinated with aeroplanes and how they work and I also have so much respect for pilots. I always get nervous flying though and I got nervous when they took off here although it was beautiful at the same time.

Paris is such a beautiful City. I visited it in 1992 and was so impressed. Especially as while standing on the Top of Tour Montparnasse. The View from there is so amazing! I wanted to translate "Invalidendom" from German into English and Google said: "Ungültigendom" - which means "Invalid Dome". My God! :D
