- The Chevrolet Trax is completely redesigned for 2023 launching as a 2024 model year. It features new styling inside and out, new technology, new powertrains, and a much larger size. Length grows by 11 inches, width by 2 inches, yet height drops by 4 inches. The Trax is a subcompact crossover that seats 5 passengers and is only available as a 4-door configuration.

I really like this model color and style, only zonk is the appearance of the rear...Would have like to see the tail lights connecting across, or some creative badging. Other than that..two thumbs up

I own a 19 AWD 2LT Trax and except no AWD option the new model is a huge improvement.

Push button shifters are growing on me. Nice upgrades on Trax.
This is a definite improvement. That color is really interesting. I initially wasn’t a fan but as the video went on it started to grow on me.
Let's see how the engine holds up. I've seen estimates that it's a 120k mile motor, not good.
Me again. The Trailblazer has a real stiff ride. This longer wheelbase should smooth out the ride ,while increasing interior room. Looking forward ✌ seeing one.
She's a beauty 😍 And the price isn't bad either. Shame they don't have that panoramic sunroof or AWD, I was looking for it lol. But I love this color and the design is so sleek, reminds me of a mix between a Subaru and a BMW.
What are the payment per month looking like?
They should bring the cacti green color to the 2024 chevy trailblazer too

There was a day where you had to buy a bigger car to have nice features now you don’t have to choose between size and quality
The car looks good. It feels like many cars are begging for more low gear torque and greater fuel economy.
When they come out with AWD, definitely will be a top contender for my next SUV.
It won’t be on the Trax as it’s an entry-level vehicle in chevy’s lineup. A refreshed 2024 Trailblazer will still have AWD and two 3-cylinder engine choices despite being around $3,000 more.
@@Cerby1979 exactly. They set it up so that if you want AWD they will point you towards the trailblazer. I expect this car regardless is gonna sell really well and seeing as how chevy is shipping a crazy number of these to the states i think they do to.
OMG that's what I said!!! They are making it look more like the trailblazer so they can discontinue after 2024. I hate the trailblazer and I am completely bummed that they are discontinuing the trax
They aren't discontinuing the Trax....
They wouldnt do a redesign just to discontinue it. They have actually been selling this over in china under a different name. This is replacing the last gen trax as there new entry level vehicle. They are actually changing the trailblazer design slightly now. They actually expect this to be a hot sell because they are shipping close to 200k of these things to the usa just this year.

Great review Tom! What's particularly impressive is that this 2024 Chevy Trax is cheaper than the 2023 Toyota Corolla and yet the Trax offers a lot more passenger room and cargo room! I predict that this Trax wil be a top seller for Chevy! People who would otherwise have bought a Corolla/Civic/Elantra/Forte/Sentra/Jetta etc. will buy a more spacious and practical Trax instead!

@@jrsforest187 your right but the with how the car industry has changed is you see more people buying a new car more frequently. Which is partially why the used car industry is sorta in a tailspin rn. Most people now are getting a car via loan and either trading out of it at the end if the loan or even during it. Not to mention you are seeing more people lease now. I love honda and Toyota and i ride honda bikes however being in the industry i know where they are coming from. Plus honda and toyota have been using those god awful cvt trans in a lot if there cars. Plus mazda has become mire reliable then both honda and toyota
My dealership put a 4K markup. 25k turned into 33.5k after all said and done..
Really. The dealers around me have been very consistent beeing st around 26.5k for a 2rs with all the packages. It depends on the dealer. Look for dealers that get a lot of new cars and releases shipped in bulk. GM has been trying to crack down on dealer markups by threatening to shipp less to dealers that do it. So finding a dealer that sells a lot if them tend to have less markups to avoid pissing off GM

What I am not understanding coming from Chevy is why they have so many SUVs. What is the difference between this and the Chevy trailblazer? Is the Chevy trailblazer going to be re-design and be bigger?
So right now in the Chevy SUV lineup there is the trax, trailblazer, blazer, traverse, equinox, Tahoe, suburban.
Companies are getting rid of cars because suvs sell more. They have this as there entry level vehicle because to get the same features in the trailblazer its out if the entry level budget for many people. There plan is to offer this as a option for people who want a decent size suv with good gas mileage a lot of tech but a lower price tag then the trailblazer. However they are going to draw people to the trailblazer still by having this 2wd and the trailblazer being there first tier car with awd

The antenna is a no for me🤦♂️ what happened to just having a shark fin antenna. Seeing these ugly things on alot of new models. Why?

The old Trax had led tail lights, doesn't look like the new one does. Weird...
They are making som compromises with this. In order to put all the tech and having a bigger overall size they cut back on small things to keep the price down on it. Thus why it only has the 1.2l and no 1.3 option and no awd. If you want some of those features chevy will have that available on the trailblazer. Its actually a really smart move to make the car and have the price tag it has
I think this is Bullshit since I’m paying so much for the Blazer. NOT FAIR! Will not get another Chevy when my lease is up for this reason alone.
I also can't stand that they keep making these bigger. I got a compact suv because I did not want a bigger suv and I do not like lower longer vehicles. So this is definitely upsetting.
Granted i don't know all the rules..however, i think its stupid to pay money to a car show and don't get to touch the vehicles..that's why i stick to my Toyotas

No AWD, less ground clearance, one less cylinder, less horsepower...no thanks! The Trax used to be the smallest Crossover SUV from Chevy, now it's bigger than the Trailblazer.
It’s actually not. The trailblazer is talker and actually has more cargo room then this. In order to keep the price down and still pack all the features in it they used the base engine for the trailblazer made it lower to ride better with a slightly longer wheel base, and if you want AWD you get a trailblazer instead. This is there new entry level vehicle and wanted to keep the price below 25-26. Apparently the 0-60 is actually a second faster then the previous trax. I think it actually weighs less.
I will never buy a 3 cylinder car. Plus, what is with the ugly bland colors of the new cars. The 80s had the best colors.
Well get ready thats the way a lot of these companies are gonna end up going.
