I prefer to buy my vehicles new. Now that I am retired and health concerns have pretty much eliminated long road trips, this is a viable way for me to go.
I snagged mine Saturday after seeing it was in transit to dealer but just so happened it had already arrived that day and was getting registered and detailed. I got the mosaic black LT and the one I lucked out on has every upgrade offered in these Trax. I have the sunroof package, the full electronics package wireless apple/Android car play, adaptive cruise control, drivers confidence package, keyless remote start, LT Convenience Package. The seats are the Evotec leatherette/cloth combo. It has heated seats, heated mirrors and wheel, wireless charging pad, the works and it's fun as hell to drive. Got mine for $26,000 out the door with gap insurance and extended warranty. I happened to be at the dealership as they were unloading it and knew I found a steal as I hadn't seen another LT fully loaded like this anywhere and this one had more upgrades than any of the RS trims I had looked at. I prefer the blue accents inside the LT as there are just a few on the dash and not allover the seats like the RS and the blue accents blend with the screen displays. The red or yellow in the other trim models continues it onto the seats which I didn't like at all. The only change I'm making are the gold bowties to black ones. If you can find one like mine there's no way I'd go with a higher trim because really all that changes are the inches of the wheels, a power seat and seat material, and gloss grill. Im obsessed with mine! She's a sexy little thing for this mama to drive around town. 2 of my 3 kids are out of the house now so I got to downsize from my big SUV and this was the perfect little crossover to do it in. I don't need a luxury car I've always been a Chevy girl but I feel like I'm not sacrificing much honestly. The tech in the car is so incredible at this price point, it was a no-brainer and I love it!! My only dislikes was no air vent in the back and I'd love an arm rest with no cup holders in the backseat. Obviously I'd trash the gold bowties and have mine completely blacked out but that's it. Just can't praise this car enough. It's pretty cool because mine is the only one Ive seen on the road here in DFW in Texas so far. I also drive like a maniac and I have had zero problem zipping in and out of Texas traffic. I'm a left lane only driver and this car is definitely having no issue passing everybody up. Just love it!
I know that the company cut a lot of corners when making this vehicle, but I am just excited to see a vehicle with such a realistic price, especially for the 2023. Nowadays you have vehicles from 5 years ago may not even be this cheap.
Wish they would put on the 200 hp 2.5 liter 4 cylinder in this that they have for the Colorado… it would sell 200,000 a year… I like it though, I’ll be the first one in my state to take it for a test drive

This model's design leans more towards a wagon than a traditional SUV. The first generation had a more classic SUV appearance, which I found more appealing. It would be interesting to see future designs that could blend elements of that classic style with the new features. Additionally, I feel there might be some similarities between this car and the Chevy Trailblazer, which I find more visually appealing. It would be great to explore how both models could further differentiate themselves while sharing components.
Can you all stop harping on Chevys plastics? They are offering a lot here for a well designed vehicle at a great price point. Toyotas plastics are horrendous but y'all never make that comparison
In a world where Toyota can make an AWD, 300 HP, 3 cylinder, hatchback Carolla. Chevy can make a more sporty looking, punitive HP, non-AWD CUV. This CUV could be a hit if they made it into a lightweight, at least 280/280 HP/TQ, AWD SUV. It could be a fun little SUV with decent power and AWD. Especially when GM in general has some of the best chassis and suspension engineers in the world.
I should be having mine sometime around August or September. If I remember I'll give my thoughts on it here if you don't do another video on it before then. I have seen a video from South Korea clocking its 0-60 at roughly 8 seconds. It's not great, but better than I was expecting for its little 1.2l.
With so little power, they should have gone the full electro with it. Nice sheet metal though but prob not good enough for me to commute with lack of passing power in Los Angeles.
It’s a pretty sexy car. I drive the 2022 Nissan kicks. I still like my car more in terms of design. I think Chevy packs their cars full of stuff that people don’t necessarily use or need.

GM made huge improvements on the Trax and it should sell based on the price and redesign. However, if they wanted to hit a grand slam having all wheel drive and a motor that has a little more power would be ideal. I understand that they want to make this a basic vehicle however, why not give it just a little more power? or offer a AWD option with the additional power? I saw in another review about the new Trax that the all wheel drive would have been an additional 2k which seems worth it. The back seat should have a AC vent for the passengers in the back along with an arm rest that offers the cup holders. Maybe add an exhaust pipe or two to give it a little more aggressive look in the back. Lastly, the antenna on the roof has to go. It's to long, with the tech available they could have opted for a smaller antenna. If they can make these changes in the future I can see the Trax being one of GM's best sellers. I ran the numbers on the Trax Activ with all the bells and whistles and it came out to $26,960. I think if they made the modifications with the suggestions I mentioned I would guess the cost of the car would be around $30,000-32,000 which is still a great deal. The new Trax Activ is great! I think it will do well and will help a lot of people that are looking for a lower priced vehicle which at this point seems like everyone. Great job GM.
I personally wish they'd have kept the Geo Tracker....4 door hardtop, had both front-wheel and four-wheel (4 on the fly) that kicked butt! I have a 2020 Trax lease and not trading in. I don't like the new version.

With rates for 700+ credit now at 5% or higher, most people are going to be paying 6-7 percent from now on or higher. All those people buying $60K Scat Packs on Amazon Delivery salary are gone. People are going to be flocking to reasonably priced cars again.
20 something thousand? its going to sell like hotcakes. It looks good, its small but who needs a tahoe? ... Might be a good one for my daughter as a matter of fact.. with the way rents are now most average people cant afford a new car, this is affordable.
They are just making these vehicles with a plan for failure or multiple service calls (and or recalls) with these anemic engines with boost, gasoline direct injections, and highly computerized with timing. All planned obsolescence. Can't stand the plastic cladding trend. They just keep pulling off more and more metal to cut their costs and increase their margins wherever they can.
Nice design, too bad the 3-cyl probably would not last 30k miles. Way too little lawnmower engine, would never consider too bad. 3-cyl hahahahaha!, junk.

One thing the haters must admit is that the 2024 Chevy Trax blows all other competitors in price and design (interior and exterior).
I actually prefer the styling of this over the Trail Blazer, Blazer or the Equinox.
