oh hell yea. ty for this. tbh, i've been playing since 2.0 beta and tho there are "lore-master" content creators for 14 already, they all get a bit convoluted or lack good coherence going from patch to patch, expansion to expansion. so this was a welcome surprise. Please do all of the expansions. They will make a nice supercut & refresher for new or returning players when another expansion comes out.

With an expanded free trial which you can play through the entirety of A Realm Reborn and the award-winning Heavensward expansion up to level 60 for free with no restrictions on playtime. (Though with 6.5 already here, this meme now needs to include Stormblood as well). Memes aside, this was such an amazing followup to ARR. I can't imagine what people must have felt when doing the Singularity Reactor Trial for the first time and see the Heavensward transform into the famous Knights of the Round led by King Thordan himself. That was definitely one of the best moments in this expansion.
As a french person, it's prononced For-tɑ̃. Sorry to seem a bit pedantic, you nailed the rest of the very French inspired names of Ishgard. Good recap all the way, though !
Them going into the past and creating their own tribe is how their race came into existence. Dr. Who Timey Whimey shennanigans FTW. Alexander is my top ''summon'' since forever.
When I first started the game, I played through a realm reborn and about a third of the way through heavensward before burning out and not playing for about a year and a half, in which I finished heavensward. I decided to watch this video because I can't for the life of me figure out why people were so attached to hearchefant. I don't know if it's the fact that I can't memorize ishgardians ridiculous names enough to get attached to any of them, or if ff14 players just get easily attached to characters. Or if it's indeed the fact I took a year and a half break.
