Apocalypse is my favorite X-men character of all time. I’d like a story arch that pushes his ability to the absolute maximum and conquers the multiverse with complete omnipotence.
Well, there was a multi-part episode of the X-Men series from the 90’s where Apocalypse plotted to destroy time so he could remake everything in his image.
The saga of The Twelve!
Apocalypse makes his own multiversal version of a super infinity gauntlet by tapping into the cosmic fabric of reality through the powers of The Twelve, a collection of twelve mutants he uses as keys to unlock the ultimate power to remake the entire multiverse and all. And he actually pulls it off. He does it. :)
It would be pretty cool to see him and Kang team up only to end up betraying each other.
I hope I'll see Apocalypse on a big screen. He deserves another chance at the MCU! My favorite villain.

I agree. The way the MCU portrayed Thanos in Avengers is actually closer to how Apocalypse personality is supposed to be. Thanos greatest motivation is supposed to be his love for Mistress Death not a love of Balance in the universe. But this is just my opinion. I just wish they had a proper Age of Apocalypse trilogy of movies in the X-men series where Apocalypse is the villain and portrayed as Thanos was in AvIW.

With the philosophy of Apocalypse. I feel that he would be a perfect "Herald of Galactus" . Galactus could sense the Celestial energy and strip it from Apocalypse then replace it with the Power Cosmic. Thus Apocalypse willingly would go out culling the weak from the universe for Galactus.
The problem with that is.... Apocalypse serves no one.

This is incredibly fascinating. Especially when he talks about how apocalypse could kill the X-Men anytime he wants, for real. But he doesn't. He says instead, the villain wants to "test them."
Now, that rang a bell with me. my brother and I had spoken about the idea of apocalypse, and what it means, especially what it meant in ancient Greece. The Greek root literally means, I "uncover", "disclose", or "reveal".
I cannot imagine this connection was an accident.
He has the Beyond Omega Level power of being the rocks of the eternal shore. ANYTHING that crashes against him WILL BE broken.

The energy vs reality manipulation can be explained this way...
You can manipulate water that flows, but you cant manipulate ice. Ice is a locked up form of flowing water, so while they are the same element, you can only use your power if the ice is melted. Energy and reality might be the same on a theoretical level, but you arent getting fire from wood without converting it first.

One of the things I like most about Apocalypse is that he very rarely ever actually intends to really destroy anyone. He considers that a waste of potential, given his "survival of the fittest" philosophy. That's why he would choose lesser powered people and enhance them to be his Horsemen, elevating their potential. Despite all of his frequent "villain speeches" about killing the weak, he really believes that ALL mutants have the potential to be the "fittest". He proves this with his monologue when he joined Krakoa.
I mean, he's still an arrogant jerk, but he sees himself as a well-intentioned one. 😁 🤣

They actually basically treated him the same way the comics treat him he was shown as being a superpower for being who could do what he wanted to anytime he wanted besides when the plot found it necessary for him to lose. Apocalypse is one of the inspirations for my favorite villain i'm writing for a story. Think Apocalypse mixed with Ozymandias mixed with Yujiro Hanma mixed with Pain from Naruto. Someone crazy, ruthless, and powerful enough to conquer the world by simply being a force upon it instead of a ruler.

Sorry to Necro this video, but yes. Apocalypse is the end-all be-all. Breakdown even what you said, can manipulate his molecular structure. This means invulnerable. If he sees it, he can become it, even with his time travel abilities, he can teleport away, go back in time, learn it, and have it when comes back to that moment in time. Therefore he can never be defeated. He's my favorite marvel character and it always kills me when they write random weaknesses into him like you said. The Age of Apocalypse series of comics, for me, where the best series in comic book history. Amazing stuff. Great vid!

I'd like to see Apocalypse ascend to a cosmic power level, Absorb the celestials and evolve into a universal power. Make Thanos his new horseman of War, Annihilus could be Pestilence, Galactus could be Famine, and of course, Death can be Death.

I definitely wish more was done to explore just WHERE Apocalypse came from. Not who raised him, but the family that left him behind. I feel like an epic story is waiting right there to be made regarding just who it was that brought a guy like En Sabah Nur into reality.

He's looking at the potential. The eternals have no potential they are already limited by their genetics and race that Thor comes from are also limited by their makeup. It is humans who have so many variables and mutations due to their short life.
say what you will about the movie but they did solve the body problem by giving him a body with a healing factor combined with his power amplification ability he was almost un killable. if he took wolverine in the comics he would be scary powerful as the body would be able to handle the strain of all his powers. the only problem is weather or not Logan's mind can be taken over his heal factor does give him some mental shielding.
Incorrect, my friend! Apocalypse's original mutant powers when his powers first manifested were: immortality, molecular control & superhuman strength. And while the Imperial Guard definitely are no joke, I can't see them beating Apocalypse. I mean, this is a guy who fought the X-Men, X-Factor, the Avengers AND the Inhumans, at the same time, & they STILL couldn't beat him! It would come down to Apocalypse vs Gladiator

Plot armor, the greatest and underrated power in comics
@Jack Trippin777 plot armor covers many heroes and villains that lose against foes they should have no trouble defeating. Best example Spider-Man vs Fire Lord. Fire Lord is a cosmic threat and whooped the avengers easily. Spiderman defeats him because "he was mad"...

Honestly, I think the Apocalypse in that timeline allowed Nimrod to win because he knew the mission was over and the remainder of that timeline was pointless once Moira/Akkaba had what she needed. Once Wolverine took off with the data crystal and put it into Moira to restart her life there was no point in Apocalypse to continue on in that fallen Earth. That's likely why he sent the rest of the mutants still alive in that timeline to live with the Shi'ar. There were only 8 mutants left on Earth to complete the data heist and send Moira back to stop the Machine Takeover.
Both Apocalypse and Thanos were shunned due to their looks... That moment when you create your own villain 😂

I love Apocalypse and the Four Horsemen to me instead of making Joker movies with out Batman or Venom movies with out Spider-Man you could do a entire series of films based on him and his travels across the thousands of years to modern times and being a hero to some and a villain to others I love his origin story as well I think it would make a great movie hopefully they do him justice in the mcu Man

Came here after watching a DBX of Apocalypse vs Black Adam. Black Adam won, obviously only because more people voted for him. But Apocalypse would destroy black Adam. I Expected for Black Adam to be voted most. These dudes literally voted Darth Vader in Magneto vs Vader.

I love Apocalypse. The voice actor in X-Men TAS did a great job portraying Apocalypse. I love this quote from Apocalypse. There is no freedom from me, there is freedom through me.
Apocalypse would destroy Thanos. Apocalypse would also destroy Galactus. The fact is, the comics and movies always make it so Apocalypse uses only a fraction of his power in order to allow the "good guys" to defeat him. In the X-Men animated series where we saw Apocalypse easily destroy the X-Men, that is what actually would happen if Apocalypse wanted to use that power against any of those opponents.
Thanos was defeated by other mutants working together as a team. That means Apocalypse would defeat Thanos all by himself.

Hes my favorite character but he needs to be updated because hes outdated. Maybe in the 90s he might have been impressive but in 2019 the oldest mutant can be beat by a kid Franklin Richards or a young adult XMan. Magneto beat him up in the cartoon and in Age of Apocalypse.
Hes definitely not Omega level. If Jean Grey or White Queen can beat him without the Pheonix Force than hes not a threat. Hes like Legion - A Jack of All Trades but Master of None. Hes an incomplete character.

//i disagree. He's to OP but he's a popular villain so writers have to find different ways to suppress tje character to fit story intsead of him killing EVERYONE. And to say he's not beyond omega level because he was defeated by lesser than ppl.... Well hell that happens to everyone. Professor X is not considered an omega level mutant he's an alpha (which i disagree but marvel says he is not omega telepath) he's defeated omega level telepaths though. So depending on the writer or story anyone çan lose.... Apocalypse is Beyond Omega just base off his abilities alone

Regarding weaker characters beating much more powerful characters this occurs but is Apocalypse really more powerful than Jean or White Queen? Ultimately No. Nate Grey? We saw how he imprisoned Apocalypse. Stryfe nearly killed Apocalypse twice. Let's go to non ESPers. Gambit's an Omega level mutant now. Ice Man's Omega level so they wont work. Storm's got a huge power up now.

Apokalypse is one of my favorite all time marvel villains and I'd like to see him get an upgrade like so many other characters, he can either defeat or at least give a lot of marvel heroes and villains a run for their money , I'd really like to see him unleash and go all out , with his present power and with an upgrade .
Can’t wait to see how the Mcu will handle his character.

Thanos has the edge over apocalypse mostly because Apocalypse is so limited in his thinking and goals. He's primarily focused on Earth, dominating it and creating a place for the strong to get stronger and the weak to die out. Thanos's thinking and actions are at a universal and sometimes even multiuniversal level. Thanos is also much more intelligent... I know they're both genius-level intelligence but apocalypse is like a 200 and thanos would be in the 1000s.
In therms of power Apocalypse destroys, obliterate Thanos... obviously with gauntlet its another thing, but its not hes, Apocalypse can use it too...Thanos has no chance 1 v 1
But in TAS he gained time travel and ended up at that series version of the loom. He promptly formed a plan to destroy all of time and remake it in his image.
All it takes is him learning of the possibility to do something.

He's far and away my favorite Marvel villain. The animated series whenever he showed up was really the only episodes I needed to watch because he was so cool.
