    It’s interesting to hear everyone recovery timeline. For me it took about 8 months to overcome the debilitating and bizarre symptoms, but as you continue forward, you begin to analyze the deeper parts of your psyche and it becomes a whole different journey of self-discovery. You begin to shine a light on all the insecurities holding you back and you start to slowly shed them.

      @@grzegorz685I’m going into month 9. I’m back to living, all the weirdest, scariest symptoms are gone (mine were intrusive thoughts), now I’m moving into learning to be more secure and confident in myself.

      It's been 2 years of hell for me.. I'm dizzy everyday. My body is shaky and tingly everyday.. I'm in panic and fear stage everyday.. I'm always feeling fear and scared.. My heart beats fast out of knowhere .. I feel like I'm dying..It all started with my first major panic attack..I've had over 100 panic attacks since 2 years ago.. I never been to a Doctor yet for a check up. It's either anxiety ,or a health problem..does anybody have a guess what it it?

      @@guilty-of-being-right you have to start listening to the DARE response book and their app and podcast. You don’t have to live like this anymore. All of your symptoms are from ANXIETY. They aren’t dangerous but you’re treating them as if they are so your brain is giving you more fear to save you. Your thoughts are the key here.

    I loved this style of talk! Hearing you guys talk about how you view your experience and that you wouldn’t even think about anxiety if it wasn’t for work was so encouraging to hear. Hearing your timelines have helped me reflect on my own and gives me hope that im close to the end and that this being a 3 year journey isn’t bad. Your confidence in yourselves now is so amazing to see. Please show more of this content to those of us who aren’t lucky enough to be able to afford the mentorship program! It’s so helpful. Even the fact that you guys can be so focused on anxiety at work and helping others and it doesn’t cause your symptoms to return is a huge consolation! I was always afraid that if I put any focus on it even in therapy that it would make it all come back. Like a well learned habit or addiction.

    When my anxiety went away i wasnt even happy or celebrated, i was happy with what i learned though i learned how to be alot better in life. way more valuable than being out of the state of anxiety.

    Hearing yall talk about being symptom free just seems mind boggling to me. I've had ptsd and panic disorder since 2006. I've tried cbt, act, exposure etc plus therapy and on meds. Better but still not able to live a normal life even 15+ years later. I don't even think it's possible.

    On my first week of my 8 week baby bonding with my first child I got a massive panic attack and I’ve been having them since, gone to the doctors multiple times and they say it’s anxiety. It’s been a little over 11 months. Holding my head up high hoping for them to disappear

    Hi Shaan, thanks for the reosurces, but it would be great that you could also talk more about OCD, especially pure O. I feel like since OCD/PTSD have been taken out of the anxiety umbrella, diagnostically speaking, I always feel like I do not have anxiety and what have been discussed does not appy to my OCD.

      Well, it still does apply. While people with anxiety avoid certain things to avoid discomfort, people with OCD do certain things to avoid discomfort.
      And the obsessive component is part of the anxiety too and in many cases just as strong, just channeled into a different direction.

      Mirka herself literally said she was diagnosed with OCD. I was too. It's all the same principle in treatment.

      I am on the journey of overcoming pure O. I suggest you watch the OCD recovery channel on TH-cam. But like previous commenters have mentioned, it is the same approach. Responding appropriately to your thoughts, not reacting. Not resisting

      Well logically since you know they're anxiety disorders, if you get rid of anxiety it will help majorly with the disorders. I have OCD and CPTSD too, I've noticed a big difference in my triggers, thoughts, and compulsions since working on fixing my anxiety. Maybe think about it holistically, not a checkbox !!

    Struggling with somatic OCD and horrid Sleep anxiety. I have other anxiety symptoms but those are the worst for me. I’ve been like this for 2 months now. The birth of my son and not sleeping and panicking caused it. I take Ativan for sleep. It’s hard to accept that you won’t sleep as an anxiety symptom 😢

    I have hard times sleeping. I wake up usually around 3 am with my heart racing and feeling like I am suffocating and I have digestive issues and migraines. Nothing has been found to be wrong. Had EKG bloodwork, sonograms, X-rays, HIDA scan of my gallbladder and etc etc. when I watch these videos , I listen to the steps but it seems so vague on how you actually utilize these steps. I wish there was just a straight forward answer or statement on how exactly to do the steps. How to refocus, how to just make it stop.

    I’m still in my “journey” mainly health anxiety especially based around the heart. So many panic attacks and scary symptoms and just most of the time I can have constant symptoms for days . Il have a few weeks fine, then drop back into the viscous circle of anxiety. It’s been pretty much like this for 8 years. Many visits to doctors and emergency room.ive been on medication , seen a therapist. I want this to end now as im 35 and if I don’t beat it now it will only get worse as I get older as obviously there could be legit health concerns

      @@bigbear5767 yeah my diet is perfect , I don’t take stimulants or coffee etc . I’m in the green in all my blood tests / testosterone. My blood pressure is slightly high that’s all because of the anxiety. It’s worse when I check it more worrying. That’s another vicious circle

I mean, it was an issue for me with school nut I overcame it really quick and got back to living quick.. 2020 was disastrous for me and my family not to mention Covid changing everything. 2 deaths in the family then helping my parents take care of my grandma with dementia was just too much for me. Def fell very deep in the cycle. So glad I came across Shaan and he led me to Claire Weekes

      @@Nanabanana29 first few months were just feeling off then got back tonnormsl after a good routine then it came crashing down and I thought I was losing the plot. All symptoms from hullucinating to weird thoughts 247 and feeling faint then just had to solider it for a few months. I was a long journey I don’t know whether you can dm on here ?

    Man ive been having anxiety for 3 years. First year was back to back panic attacks every day. Literally lost 40lbs and thinking I'm going to die. First panic attack i was for sure thinking I'm dying and was even ok with it at that moment since it seemed like its happening. Eneded up passing out and fast forward medication has really helped and now my mindset has been strong so i rarely get anxiety. Sometimes it creeps up on or gives me symptoms but i just relax and breathe. The Quran relaxes me and being kind to my parents and wife makes me happy that if anything does happen i lived a life with love and that god has his plan. Death will just return men back to my lord. Be strong guys, it's hard, very hard. But it only strengthens you. The first time you overcome with your heart and mind. The door for recovery is now on the right track.

    As great as this is for them. Those of us that have had all of this for 20+ years it just seems like a smack in the face. Those of us that have tried everything that they did or suggest and yet still suffer daily. It's just a shame those people aren't mentioned. But yay for you!

      It's just your anxiety that makes you feel like you are lost....you are still trying to fix your anxiety or fight your anxiety or resisting....Allow it to be there without any engagement and let the time pass

    ive been anxious over symptoms for some time now, but recently started to accept and live life anyways.
    now i find that i have 80% anxiety attack ALL THE TIME without knowing why or having a symptom to connect it to!?+
    is that normal? i mean feeling that awful feeling all the time without a reason!?

      Don't know it is normal or not but I feel so... but now after acceptance it little bit manageable... Thanks to Almighty to guide me with this baby step...

      It was the same with me. I accepted the fear and suddenly it was stronger and more present. that went away again. I had always pushed the fear away before and if you let it be there, I think it's normal that it gets stronger at first because you let it be there

      ive had health anxiety, GAD and panic disorder for 2.5yrs now... so its not strange at all that my brain has learned to be afraid all the time... some days are better than others but then there is a smal ache somewhere or the feeling of getting sick and boooom that fear takes over again, trying to chill and accept it is hard for me, after a couple of days i can handle it anymore and have to lay down on the floor for 3h+ like im dying....

      I thought I was going to die several times every day for the last year. Even triggered by the smallest symptoms.
      I also have health anxiety and stuff.
      The fact is we haven't died 100,000 times because of fear and we won't in the future. The panic attacks ALL ended every time.
      Total acceptance takes time.
      The irony is the symptoms we experience are triggered by fear and Stress. fear wants you to survive. In our cases, the fear is not rational; our nervous systems are sensitive and look for the slightest danger everywhere. Don’t let the fear cycle trick you. It is and remains a feeling like disgust or anger. very very unpleasant but not dangerous. FEAR WANTS YOU TO SURVIVE AND NOT KILL YOU.
      Fear itself is not the problem. It's the thinking and worrying and wanting the fear to go away that creates the stress and new Stress symptoms . The fear will eventually go away if we give up the fight to get rid of it and accept it.

      I had this exact disorder/anxiety back in the days when i was 16yo and had it for 1.5 years and it stopped and i just forgot about it and started living again, meet my wife, got kids and c19 came around and i didnt care at the beginning but then i started to get other symptoms like domns and breathing issues and it sensitized me quickly and after that the spiral started all over again… so i know how it feels to get recovered, but i was young then and i didnt know what i was suffering so much, no Google no theraphist nothing, just had my dad that told me its anxiety and it will go away so i trusted him and was forced to go to school and surely enough after 1.5 years sleeping for 4h max every night on the couch or beside dad and slowely went away to the point of forgetting it. But now I know more, watch YT go see therapist, I’m more engaged about it and have kids and a home to take care off so I don’t have time for this and want to speed up a process that can not be sped up… it only makes it last even longer… I simply need to go to work again anyways and just start doing what I must and let the shitty feeling be there… but it’s hard… very hard… I almost don’t dare..

    4 days ago my bp suddenly drop nd my dr gave me ors nd salt ...that time i feel like my soul is about to go out ....but after sometime i was ok .....then after 1 day my fear is that ...what if my bp low again and what if it happen when i m alone so again i got panic attack after 1 day...i m very healthy and i am very competent in my life .....only 2 time s i hve got panic attack ...so now i m trying to control on my own...       I can tell you that constantly looking for reassurance through more and more videos is not going to help. If you know the fact that you need to accept what is happening, don’t fight it and allow your emotions to be what they are while just observing them, you know what you need to know. More and more videos will just keep you thinking about it more often.

      I am out of agoraphobia and driving anxiety. It took me around 2 months using flooding exposures without any medications. I am still in different type on anxiety recovery due tu trauma and I am sure this will work too. How are you now?

      This is just my opinion... Def not a doctor but.... I used to get the same thing after eating. What I think the problem is, when we eat, our bodies are working hard to digest our food, which is completely normal, it's supposed to do that.. But being so sensitized and tuned in to our bodies our brains detect the elevated heart rate and we instantly think "this equals panic".... "Elevated heart rate means anxiety".
