Hi Alice - Definitely something I'll be looking to produce more content on! There are some great dividend stocks in Australia and the US that kiwi investors can access through the likes of Sharesies.
@@BrentColeman I think you should keep it NZ based. AUS and US stock influencers are a dime a dozen. you'll have no USP. Keep in NZ I reckon. You could be the first in NZ to independently analyse NZ company performances
Heya! I got the data from a few sources, mainly the websites of the companies and their respective annual reports and investor documents. Hope this helps!
Shares can also give you a sense of ownership in the companies you invest in, allowing you to be a part of their success and growth. From a financial point of view, a company can only become more valuable (share price goes up), or more profitable (dividends go up).
This past year has been a shocker for them on the stock price front. It's either a value trap or a good chance to buy into a high-yielding stock - anyone's guess!
Stocks that pay dividends are generally well established and have operated for several decades by that point (eg Big Tech is only just starting to pay now). Only with time can a business create stable cashflow, from which dividends can be paid. Naturally they won’t be as innovative as startups that can jump onto new trends

Nice one. We need more honest financial analyst influencers in NZ. there's precious few apart from the obvious biased ones.
Appreciate the support!!
Good content bud. Not many other peeps (on YT) commenting on Nz stocks so look forward to seeing more of your content.
Cheers!

Besides dividend profits & building up our portfolios, what else are we gaining from our shares?

Heartland is too unstable for a good divvy stock
This past year has been a shocker for them on the stock price front. It's either a value trap or a good chance to buy into a high-yielding stock - anyone's guess!
Heartland aged well😅
It’s called New Zealand not atearoa
*Aotearoa
We can use both respectfully
Geeze it’s not that deep
@@BrentColeman oops did I spell wrong by mistake, my bad.
Best dividend paying stocks are the least innovative ones
