20 plus years ago it was very common to see a retired husband and wife trucking team retire, replace the 5 th wheel hook up with a motorcycle or a car somewhere in the set up. When the 5 and 5 rule disappeared and most husband and wife teams went with it. Hence not many retired truckers have the resources to drive their "rv" cross country due to fuel being above 2.00 a gallon. It was spent trying to work.
Wow! Interesting and sad how the price of fuel led to change the lives of so many. We're very fortunate to be able to enjoy this lifestyle. Thanks for watching the channel.
Follow you guys allot, but this was one of your best videos. From a long time trucker out of California, I can't wait to turn my Peterbilt into an HDT and do the same thing. Safe travels my friends.
Is there anything better than watching these tight maneuvers in the park whilst listening to the gravelly voice of a big rig?! And suspenseful music!! Great video as usual. 🛻 🚃 🇺🇸
Glad to see you got a good look at Oregon & Idaho...I live in Boise and have family on the coast of OR...but McCall is one of my favorite places...but Oregon still has the best campgrounds of anywhere I've travelled...keep up the awesome posts 😊
Hi guys, I just came across your channel and I love it... you both make me smile... and I think that's what its all about... keep up the good work... Greg (Qld Australia)
This is the cloud phenomenon you saw in McCall. Hi! England calling! 😂 Another great video David and Sondra. You drove through Sisters! Wow, that’s where I went to the quilt show in 2017 after Everest Base Camp! The scenery is breathtaking, thanks for such amazing videos. Loved the boat trip and rafting! How you drive that truck! What a team! Safe travels. 🇬🇧 Best wishes.
Hi, Alison! America answering your call! 😆 🤣 Glad you enjoyed it and that's pretty cool you were in Sister's, Oregon. Wow! What a small world! We appreciate your time watching the channel. ☺️
I love that you are in my home state of Idaho. A couple of years ago, we were visiting my sister in central ID and a Mamma moose or Cow as they are called, with her twin babies strolled into the yard. They are huge animals, even babies are huge. Your video is making me miss my beautiful home state of ID, thank you for the amazing shots of lakes and the forest.
Thanks, Nancy. Idaho has blown us away from our expectations. Such a lovely state with so many great rivers, canyons and mountains. Appreciate your watching the channel.
I remember you guys completely turning around your rig 2 winters ago at Peace River and was completely impressed with your skills. You did like it was a piece of cake. I know if you can't do something, then it can't be done... Good job Team !!!!
Amigos, Your life is a great adventure, never stop enjoying it, and the music at the end of the video is always fantastic, it is difficult to have to wait a long week to see them again. 😄
Glad you got to hang out in Oregon for a bit! One thing I love about Oregon is how the landscape changes from the coast to the valley to the high desert of central and eastern Oregon.
I can't wait for the day Sondra says, " David, you ARE getting a boat!" Lol. David looked so happy being the Captain of the boat. Loved the video. Safe travels~
I just love the way you two gallavant around America in your Huge RV just love both of you. I too would love to gallavant America in an RV but I am in India 😢. Anyways l am enjoying your videos. God bless you both.
That boat trip looks so fun and exciting! This vídeo Is excellent. Thank you for making another elderly person enjoy your videos . Each time more exciting and filled with super fun ádventures . Greetings from Venezuela
Loved it! Boating, finally, and Mr. D was in charge of it. Beautiful place there, so I'd go back too. White water rafting, too! Now this was fun city here and not forgetting you Miss S, you got your wildlife fix too. (Just glad the fire areas didn't forbid passage) Thanks for the adventure once again along with those video and drone skills!
Glad you enjoyed it, KB. Great few days and we were fortunate to have nice weather and clear skies. Feel bad for all the people impacted by these wildfires. We're trying to stay clear. Thanks for watching the channel each week. See you later!

Me and my husband watch you all the time. Y’all have the best music in y’all’s videos and it’s pretty clear you two are such a great team in every thing you do. I love all the pictures and the videos from the drone. Your home is the most beautiful I’ve ever seen! In a motor home. I couldn’t imagine having to drive that big truck and getting your car down from it. That looks so scary. Lol but wow it’s so nice! Y’all travel so much and to so many places. I wish y’all traveled more on the east coast. That’s where we live and there’s a lot of great places over this way to adventure. I’ve never had chesters chicken or ate at what a burger but I want to one day thanks to y’all! Lol. The only draw back to your lifestyle is not really having too much time for your grandkids. FaceTime isn’t the same but that’s your choice to not be real involved. I just love David’s dad jokes. By the way, I knew you were a engineer Sondra, my husband was one for many years and you remind me of him. I told my husband, she has to be a engineer. Lol. You keep up with numbers and are super organized. David is also intelligent and he seems to do all the messy jobs of traveling while you can do your paperwork and cooking. It all makes for a great team and fun times. If anyone was meant to do this, it is you two. Thanks for the great videos. Keep them coming!
Thank you very much. We plan to start heading east and spend a few years exploring that area. We enjoy the traveling and excited to have you along on the journey.
What an exciting episode! I used to live in Oregon so am very familiar with the places you visited there, including browsing and shopping in Sisters. I've never been to the McCall Idaho area, what a beautiful and fun place to visit. David was so happy on that boat! See you next week.
Well 🧑✈️ Caption David & Sondra…some great finds on this segment. The rainbow cloud/moose…yrs back we white water rafted (class 4) in B.C. And hubby volunteered to sit in front. Not only did they tip but his contacts slid to back of his eye for several hours…highly uncomfortable. But still talk about it. Love the ominous music to all your dangerous campground turns. 🇨🇦 ❤
Nice day in the boat. I was wondering when Sondra was gonna remove her parker. Im the same way 90° and I wear my sweater all the time. Love the rainbow in the clouds. That white water rafting looked like alot of fun. B safe in u travels

Very Nice, And thanks for the ride along.. And we are back on the road again 1st of next week making our way to Arkansas and then to Texas and hope to run across a Whataburger.. LOL

Fun, fun, fun for Sondra and David! I think you figured out the best way to “own” a boat - don’t - just rent one for the day. That way you don’t have all the up keep, or guilt for not using it as often as you thought you would. I’m not sure what my favorite part was. @@bigtruckbigtravels We’re ok. The fire is now under control after several days of hard work by the firefighters. Take care - so looking forward to the next video!❤️
I wonder what you would think about McCall, Idaho in the winter. Each February they have a winter Carnaval with ice sculpturing competitions and a very big Parada. Very cold and snowy there in the winter months.
We were talking about that, Kathy. We'd have to have snowmobiles and the appropriate equipment along with a wood stove in the house but it would be fun. I'm sure after about 4 months of snow and cold we'd be thinking Florida! 😆
Chicahominy Reservoir is a fantastic area. If you ever get the chance taking a hike around the far end of the reservoir will reveal some fantastic wildlife at times. Heards of Antelope sometimes graze there. Have caught some very nice fish in that reservoir in the past. Good choice for a stop.
While driving that boat, David’s eyes lit up like a Sondra in a stationery store!
Good one!😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😍😍😍😍
Going to have to change it to, Big Boat, Big Travels…lol
😆 🤣 that is true!
David you can do anything with that truck. Talented.
Thank you both for another beautiful adventure....
Our pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it.
I'm convinced that David led a secret double life as a truck driver that he is not telling us about.
😆 🤣 Thanks... but I'll never tell. 🤔😇😊

I'm so glad David finally got to captain a boat. Great adventure and scenery. Safe travels.
Thanks, Fred. Anytime we're near water, I try to commandeer a vessel of some sort.
Excellent driver, awesome picturesque views, njoyable boat ride and rafting adventure😁😁😁😁
Thank you. We've whitewater rated before but never out west so the experience on the Salmon was cool. Thank you for watching.
Is there anything better than watching these tight maneuvers in the park whilst listening to the gravelly voice of a big rig?! And suspenseful music!! Great video as usual. 🛻 🚃 🇺🇸
Thank you. It is a cool scene with the sounds.
The look on your face David when you first took the boat was priceless. Beautiful place.

How fun. Boats and water make for some of the most perfect days. ♥️. Wishing you both safe travels.
We agree, Linda! So peaceful and serene on the water. Thanks
Beautiful lake, very much like a smaller Lake Tahoe! David is a natural in the boat, fan base says he needs one. Yay for the moose.
Much smaller and shallower than Tahoe. I think the scenery around Tahoe is prettier but this is a nice "personal" lake.

If I had your rig, I don’t think I would have ever ventured into that campground! Good JOB..👍

What a great area to visit. Loved the boating and whitewater rafting!
Glad you enjoyed it. It's an area with a lot to offer.
Amazing driving to get out of the camp ground
Whew! There were a few "pucker" moments for sure! Thanks for the comment.
Thanks for the tip! We really like the campground.
Wow that was a nice video ...
Thank you 😀 Glad you enjoyed it.
