I agree. Except I personally really despise the broodals, I would've just preferred the koopalings as mini bosses, and on the dark side boss rush. The broodals were so random and unexpected. But that's just my opinion. But the story in Odyssey is better and makes more sense since Bowser actually wants to marry Peach rather than just kidnapping her for no reason like in most Mario games.
Yeah the only thing I dont like is it being way too easy and short.

You didn’t mention in the Mario Bro’s 3 segment that the NES limitations where pushed so much and I’m still mind blown by it
Honestly, New Super Mario Bros. Wii is my favorite. I am actually playing it as we speek tbh. It offers so much new stuff including bringing back the koopilings. All of the sounds and music are just exactly on point. It offers 3 new and great power-ups, the propeller mushroom, the penguin suit, and the ice flower. It’s also the first 2D Mario game to have invisible walls. The hub worlds are actually one of my favorite parts about the game, each hub world has its own unique design and mini bosses to get mushrooms. While the boss fights are kinda lame and easy, each one has there own ability that stand out from the rest. World 9 actually has some of the hardest levels which makes sense, they all are completely different and have their own ramping difficulty (9-7 for example). Bowers castle is probably one of the most intimidating in the series, especially how they introduced it after beating the airship. The fact that new mechanics for the wii actually made this game more interactive with having to tilt and shake the remote. The world select menu also shows each world before it’s introduced and they have really good designs and I love how world 9 is up top. Each shortcut in the hub world was very unique, from using warp pipes, to using vines, to using stepping stones over lava. This game is what introduced me to this great franchise, and will be one of the best things of my childhood.
NSMB Wii was also my first Mario game (and probably my first game ever) and after playing it both then and now, I can say even though it may not be top 5 and I still prefer NSMB DS, people give it WAY too much flack. Seriously solid platformer.
Tbh I hope Super Mario 64 gets Remade/Remastered
It would be awesome to have updated textures, a new camera system and the great controls from Odyssey (while maintaining the original move set). Also maybe enemies could be reworked to be a little bit more challenging? Goombas especially are weak in 64

To be fair they do have very overpowered jumping and floating abilities in the game that make a lot of the platforming objectively easier

I love SMG2 but the power-ups really are hit and miss, and some of them straight up cripple you rather than actually make you powerful. The spring power-up is an easy contender for one of the worst Mario power-ups of all time.
Nah i prefer Galaxy 1, Galaxy 2 is better at mechanics and powerups but ain t as deep and polished on the story as Galaxy 1, but it shurely did some things way better than Galaxy 1

For me my favorite Mario game has and always will be Super Mario Galaxy! Given it may be because Galaxy was MY Mario game that I grew up with and I haven't played Galaxy 2, but I just love everything Galaxy does. The Gravity mechanics and level design is so much fun and I feel like they perfectly balance the openness of Mario 64 and Sunshine with the linearity of the 2D games. Then you have the atmosphere and music which just feel so epic and incredible to experience. That game easily has some of, if not, THE BEST Mario and Nintendo music ever! Not to mention Rosalina's backstory which is one of the first times a video game has ever made me cry. But I just love Super Mario Galaxy so much!

To each their own but I can't imagine a world where Mario 64 is better than both Super or 3. It deserves credit for creating workable 3d controls. The first time I played it in 96 my mind was blown BUT I still instantly knew it wasn't as fun or creative as the previous games.

Pam Hunstrom Mario odyssey is super repetitive, easy, and the story is just so weak- even for a Mario game. The core mechanics just aren’t that great, you literally capture an enemy once just to reach a point the devs intended you to use the capture for and that’s it. No capture is useful and is just there for a split second. And the environments are just so forgettable, dull, small and bland. And the whole point of the game is literally find moons, it’s just a BOTW find Korok but for the main quest. The only thing I actually enjoyed from this game is the costumes and the movement mechanics. Wish they could incorporate Mario throwing Cappy to bounce on it in more games, but without all that capture nonsense. Bosses also suck and are probably the most forgettable and easiest, all with that “three hit to kill” ideal.

Super Mario Sunshine was my second Mario game (after Super Mario Land for the GB) and I loved that game. Looking back at it, not as good in comparison but still great! Could've been even more amazing if it wasn't for the fact that a lot of levels are similar.

I remember when I was a kid I saw an ad for this at a like gamestop or (I don't know why) a best buy store, though I only saw the part where they show the gameplay, I knew it as "The Game Where Mario Turns Into A Cat" so you can definitely tell that was the selling point of the game and evidently a wii U and super mario 3d world for Christmas after I bugged them for a solid 2 months straight. that was the good times

That was just played for laughs. Quite a lot of games have some romantic moments between them, particularly at the end of galaxy and in paper mario, but they’re never the focus of the series because who cares?

My favorite Mario game is 3D world! I love the cat bell and being able to play as Rosalina, and I will always remember playing this on the Wii U with my little brother a lot during weekends and breaks.
