With such nice looking visuals and smooth gameplay, I'm praying to god that when they implement the building aspect of the game (as well as vehicles), it won't be a laggy/buggy hellscape. If Haruna manages to pull it all off, this could quite possibly become the greatest game ever made.
It will most likely not, in the old trenches game almost everything was made with unions and negate(laggy) everything in trenches 2 will be low poly meshes made in blender, so it shouldn’t lag
I think that the effect happens so when you’re in a trench you’ll fall down into the trench and have a second chance, as opposed to just dancing around your opponent, shooting them four times, and being done. Of course they haven’t implemented trenches yet. Kinda hope it is like the Entrenched digging mechanics.
5:02 The knock down just stunlocks him which is pretty nasty. Players should be given control when to get up. Haruna should also add a prone position where players could crawl out of a knock down. Of course these only matter when you get shot from long ranges. When you get knocked down in short ranges you're almost guaranteed to die either way, which is fair. Personally, I like it. It forces people to think more about positioning and maneuvering. It discourages the kind of players that spam "BANZAI" or "JUST RUSH EM!" in chat and loves to sprint in open ground.
A good way of mitigating this all whilst encouraging teamwork and coordination would be to let players help fallen teammates get up and recover faster.
