Now this is perfect, most other channels like you make a 3 day adventure into a 1 hour movie (if you’re lucky) but this is just the right amount of EVERYTHING in these videos. KEEP. IT.UP.
I'll never get tired of watching these stuffs. it really has something to it. i just hope that everyone gets the healing they deserve when watching these things. :)
Thanks for Watching! I really hope you enjoyed and got something out of this and if you did Like and consider Subscribing. I'll be putting out a new video almost every week!

It’s double delight to watch this video with your brother, you have the best video I TH-cam, it’s so relaxing watching and just loves all your video’s 😎😎😎
Interesting the bushcrafter wrap, never saw that before , at least it didnt snow on you guys during the night 🙄 . Glad you came out ok from that improvised dip in the water 👍 Thank's for the video !
Honestly i find myself doing it more and more each time i go out - Just sleep outside and if it snows just throwing the tarp over like a bivy - its really cozy. Yah me to i feel like a bit of a bozo after that one. glad it all worked out too.
Wow Your Both Strong Enough To Stay at The Snow for Three Days Xander , its So Cold , Me i cant Stay there Good Luck For the next Camping God Bless your Both 😇😇😇🤩🤩🤩💖💕💗💝💞💓❤️🇵🇭
Had a buddy burn holes in his shoes drying them on a fire. Mind, he literally put them in the fire, but we were also soaked all over and running on alcohol at that point
Awesome vlogs , Loving the down to earth, real life content and not another thirty min long display of some dude showing everyone how awesome he is and all the little survival tricks that he knows and blah blah blah! I noticed something when you joked about the debris in the water you two were drinking, in the woods it's no big deal but at home people would prob pass! Lol
Wow I’m first. Anyway great video as usual Xander. Great content. Nice place to camp. Accidents can happen so fast especially in winter. I went up to my waist once about 5 years ago and had to get a fire going and strip down. Lesson learned and I’ve been doing it for over 50 years. Keep up the good work
Thanks Clifford, I appreciate it. Accidents do happen and I'm happy the way mine did. It could have been way worst. Glad to see your accident turned out ok as well. Thanks for your comment and have a great day!
I have only recently stumbled across your channel, but I am absolutely obsessed with your content, amazingly perfect videos that I watch before sleep, I’ve learnt heaps as well! you are also funny as heck so that’s a bonus
Very adventurous video.. I literally forgot myself and watched your videos.. Continue sharing great trips like this for us.. One suggestion.. carry any good water purifier bottles like Britta so that you won't get any health issues during your trip... Love from Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦
Cheers friend. Glad you enjoyed it so much :) we usually bring gravity water filters in the summer but the winter I find they freeze up and become useless. So I just boil everything or melt snow
Great video once again Xander! I liked the dynamic between the two of you, it definitely added to an already very pleasant watch👌 Good thing you had that fire going after falling in haha. Probably nice to have company in a situation like that too.
Thanks Giske glad you enjoyed it. It's definitely nice to have someone to camp with and my brother Dylan's awesome for that. It was definitely nice to have around after taking a dip that's for sure :p
@@XanderBudnick by the way, I'm having a hard time with the cold draining my camera batteries. What setup are you running, and is it doing ok in lower temps?
Yah that was a huge issue for me. Or was at least - my first winter camping trip all my cameras didn't work and I only got bits of footage on my phone it stayed working because I kept it In my pocket. When I go out now only my main camera works it's a Sony A9ii which has the same batteries as all the Sony A7 cameras. And they work gloriously in the cold. No issues. Only slight draining. My Rx100vii drains and dies and my go pro 7 drains and dies. I also keep my spare batteries close to my body to keep them warm and sleep with them
@@XanderBudnick Cool! Then I know where to look for gear that can take the conditions I'm in. Getting kinda tired of not getting the shots I want because of the cold.
@@Giskeoutdoors yup thats the only thing that frustrates me is the unreliability of the cameras and missing shots or losing footage. I'm really happy with my Sony right now it's performing beautiful with its big batteries
Killer content, as always brother! Loved this one, it's really nice to see what it looks like with two people, the interactions were great and the trip was really exciting too. Technically speaking I think the twigs and debris just make the water into bush tea!
Hi! I love your content :) Just a question that you may or may not have already answered: can you tell us a bit more about how you got to this point? Did you go on trips with your family growing up? How did you learn how to make a fire/tread through the forest/learn how to survive alone? Just curious about the back-history :)
I grew up going on camping trips with my mom and brothers in our pop up trailer to national parks and stuff. Ive done a few canoe trips over the years longest was 12 days on the Missinabi River (I have a video on my channel). I only started solo camping and winter camping last year - ive learned some from my brother who pushed me to try winter camping but alot of what ive learned is either from youtube or just getting out into the woods and trying it out for myself.
the big red air mattress or pad? looks soooooo cozy...lucky u didnt fall into like 8 or 9 feet and was ur pants waterproof somewhat or did u have extra layers or just dried off beside the fire...
The air pad is a big Agnes insulated Air core - yeah for sure I don't think I would have gone near that sketchy area of water if it was in the middle of a lake or something. It was just in a small narrows but sketchy nonetheless. Yah my pants were waterproof so only got a bit wet when the water steeped into my boots
You ought to have at least filled your kettle after your dunking! Turn your boots , liners, and socks upside down on sticks near the fire to dry them out more quickly. Wear your spare socks as you are waiting for the wet socks to dry.
yah I should have done it more quickly - I did dry them off later in the evening when we were hanging out - It wasn't an issue until we were getting ready for bed and my liners were soaking. Next time ill get on it quicker
You know what you don’t see a lot of TH-camrs do is take out their sleeping mat and just chill out. I do it IRL and I’m sure most of us do. It’s always go go go do do do on TH-cam. It was refreshing to see you do that. Probably not as refreshing as breaking through the ice up to your waist though 🤣 I’m just teasing you. In that wilderness situation, it isn’t IF you will fall through but WHEN. Nobody should get on you about that.
I suppose you're right. But it's all part of the experience. I men's if the content is good it's good. But often it's the working bits that are more interesting. I did enjoy my dip, it was refreshing and a solid lesson learned
Don't wrap yourself in tarps, especially if you are damp while going to bed. You sleeping bags need to breath, and instead you will wake up in condensation within the wrapped up tarp.
Now this is perfect, most other channels like you make a 3 day adventure into a 1 hour movie (if you’re lucky) but this is just the right amount of EVERYTHING in these videos. KEEP. IT.UP.
