@@Crashed131963 It kinda depends on your own personal experience, if you're not gaming frequently, then a normal dualsense is just fine since you won't wear down the sticks as fast and getting a new controller after maybe 2 years is fine... But if you're frequently gaming, and especially if you're playing games that requires lots of inputs, like action RPGs or especially FPS shooters, then you're gonna wear down your controller much faster, it's why some people can have their controllers for years and still have no drift while others get drift in a few months. If the latter's your case then the dualsense edge would be more worthwhile in the longer term, since you won't have to be buying a new controller every few months or a year So for some people it can actually save them a lot of money and possibly 3-5 controllers, and we're still a long way before a whole new generation of console comes out so you're gonna be gaming with that controller for a long time
The Edge is by far the best for one MASSIVE reason. You can change the joysticks.... Drift is by far the worst problem for the PS5. I have had 5 controllers have bad stick drift... Thats over $350 for controllers.... Also there is a company making a Hall modular Joysticks for the edge. That would make it the most optimal by far.
Or Sony removes the block that you can't use the Ps4 controller on Ps5 games . My Ps5 controller has bad drift after only 4 months. I'm currently using a 8 year old Ps4 controller for now on my Ps4 games .
I know this is just a review but with all the reviews out there what could've made yours different is to mention the problems with each controller. For example the V2 pro i hear has a huge deadzone problem. Just advice you may not even need. Good video though.
What we need in a controller - PC Software for all the buttons (Dualsense edge negative) - The ability to swap between asymmetrical layout and symmetrical layout / sell 2 models for either layout - Remappable buttons on the back with a minimum of 2 / premium of 4 / extra premium 6 with the 2 on the side like the scuf envision - Swappable d-pad and joysticks - Hall effect sensors - Adaptive triggers with a slider for the travel - Mechanical buttons - A touchpad Let’s not forget these controllers cost like £200
I got the Victrix because I grew up exclusively owning Nintendo consoles and love playing Super Smash Bros. I decided to start playing MultiVersus and, as a lifelong Smash player, I wanted to get a controller with asymmetrical analog sticks. To me, that is the most important thing when it comes to a controller for playing platform fighters and, yes, it's because that's how Super Smash Bros plays. Because of Ultimate, I have gotten used to the traditional diamond layout for the action buttons and don't miss the GameCube layout, but like I said, the asymmetrical analog stick layout that the GameCube controller has is still 100% necessary. So my choices were basically between the BFG and the Wolverine and the ability to switch between symmetrical and asymmetrical was the deciding factor, the fact it was a full $70 cheaper was simply a bonus. Lol It kills two birds with one stone for me, I can use an asymmetrical layout for most games and swap to the symmetrical layout so I have easier access to the d-pad for retro games. The fightpad is something I'm likely not going to get too much use out of, but the fact that it's included is really awesome! All the buttons are microswitches, they are super clicky and I'm sure a lot of Street Fighter players are going to appreciate it! It's also quite comfortable, it feels remarkably like an Xbox Controller in hand. It's very versatile and of good quality, the Wolverine is built better, but it's definitely on par with the Edge and ScollSense. The only thing that sucks is PDP currently does not offer module and accessory replacements, but something tells me they'll come eventually. And even if they don't, the fact that it has swappable modules opens the door for aftermarket sales and potential third-party options. I guess the software kind of sucks, you have to have a Windows PC to use it, I don't think there's a version for MacOS, iOS, Linux, or Android, but the controller itself is really good, they also make a version for the Xbox and I hope they make a version for Nintendo's next console. Something tells me that's the only reason they haven't made one for the Switch, they're probably knee-deep in the development of controllers for the new console.
whats also good about the EDGE is that it works on Windows 10+ seamlessly via steam... now assuming you like using Steam is another case entirely also waiting for other colors and probably a bit of a price drop... 12K PHP is a bit of a pill to swallow
I have a fully loaded/custom AimController and the Sony Dualsense Edge as my casual/back-up controller. The dualsense Edge feels solid, looks premium and is plenty fast. It also has unique features like multimedia control buttons and swappable stick modules. I definitly recommend it. The fully decked out AimController is entirely custom designed + entirely mechanical with mouseclick triggers but I just don't feel like it gives me any actual competitive advantage and at the same time it's not as nice for casual playing. Everything being mechanical most likely also means it'll break sooner. The controller is ALOT more expensive than the dualsense edge. Good thing AimController offers lifetime warranty! The downsides to the dualsense edge controller are: Only 2 paddles and you need a PS5 to set it up (as far as I know)
learn to build your own!! way cheaper than buying a prebuilt and you'll know how to fix things like battery wear and stick drift later on down the road! I built my first ever controller with the ps5 controller and three years later just spent an extra $20 to do a stick and battery replacement
That is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. So Sony won't fix stick drift after a warranty ends, but they sell a controller where you can swap them out with the exact same issue. What are you supposed to do with? The ones that were legitimately messed up the, you can't send those back in.....
wish they would make a dual sense edge pro with click triggers that can be swapped to regular and click face buttons that would just be the dream controller for me
I sadly wouldn’t recommend the Victrix controller. I’ve had it since the start of January and it worked like a dream… until I tried to update the software. Trying to update the wireless dongle made it stop working completely and the controller update never finished despite waiting for nearly an hour. Costumer service was hella slow and I’m not even sure it’s worth the effort to get a new wireless dongle. The stick drift has become unbearable in certain games. It also has a tendency to stop working completely in the middle of games which has caused many frustrating and avoidable deaths. When you change the sensitivity of the triggers, it also tends to shut the controller down, leaving me to unplug and plug it back in again. The back buttons are a bit too cramped for my liking and placed in a way that depending on the game, makes them hurt to use over time. Overall: Good at the start, terrible any other time. Not worth. :/
Dam bro sorry bout that. I was just about to get vpro too but yours is like the 3rd recent comment making these complaints. Thank you bro! You just saved me 200 bucks. Looks like I’m just going to have to go for the de
Had the Victrix for 1-2 months. Has stick drift, occasionally freezes for no reason and u have to unplug it and plug it back in. No built in speaker or adaptive triggers. No really impressed
Don’t sleep on the Victrix Pro BFG! You can typically get it for around $160+ with a PDP coupon code but as far as the controller goes… it does feel cheap for a pro controller but it just works real well. I like that the joystick tension is in-between being too loose or too tight. It feels good playing FortNite, MW2 and the SF6 demo so far, I’ve had it since the horrendous launch but I love it.
@@GotSawst that’s wassup bro! I also got mine like 2 weeks ago. The only thing I hate about it is that the rubber grip in the back is white and it gets dirty easily. I’m scared that it will get that yellow tint in the future so I ordered a black grip that I can just stick it on
Thank you for the detailed review. What about deadzones? Can they be adjusted? I find the stock Dualsense deadzones to be unusable for aiming in soulslikes. I want to reduce it to zero.
I honestly like the PS5 controller but I'm more of a person that doesn't use vibrations, haptic feedbacks, built in microphone controllers or any features like that I usually just use the controller as it is and disable the funky features And I kinda wish Playstation would have had PS5 controllers that are designed without the extra features for a smaller price because I basically pay for features that I never used for the past 3 years
Had this controller for a while now they rushed to put it out there around the exact time the edge dropped. They didn't even have there app up for firmware updates. And fixing stick drift issues. However, the app is up now running smoothly. The controller is light and extremely sensitive. Once you adjust to it it's a game changer. My kd in cod went from a .98 to 1.14. And im still peaking. I took it over the edge because the triggers and extra back buttons. I use it for cod and my beat em up games like Tekken, mortal Kombat, and soul caliber. I use my base duelsense for the PS exclusives that are story driven. This controller is probably the best remote i have ever owned. It's like the swiss army knives of controllers. Just does everything right and has everything you need. The only downside is no haptic feedback. I can live without it. Because for most competitive games you turn all that off anyways. I love this pad man.
I like the dual sense but I wish they just change the analog placement that’s why I bought the razor. I play rocket league heavy and that analog placement is much needed lol
I sold my PS5 again because I was constantly having problems with the PS5 controller. I can play on the PC and with the Xbox controller or mouse keyboard forever. Just not with the PlayStation controller. I was thinking about getting a pro in the Xbox layout.
I don't care about vibration, adaptive R2 buttons, or dumb sounds coming from the remote. I want battery life or it's useless plastic lol thanks for the video bro
I’ve only just watched this video and wanted to give my opinion Scuf controllers are known to have reliability issues, but as this is simply a modded PS5 controller, it’s probably going last a while however, the problem with PS5 controllers is stick drift. I literally only used 1 PS4 controller for the entire duration of having the PS4 and I’ve never had a problem, but literally within 2 months of using the PS5 controller, I started to get stick drift, which can be easily fixed by opening the controller and cleaning out the stick module The potential problem with having a Scuf PS5 controller is, if there’s stick drift and there will be at some point, it will only cause more issues as the controller is modded and if you open the controller more than likely it will start to damage the modded parts I think in terms of efficiency the PlayStation Edge controller wins, because if you get stick drift, you only need to spend £20 for a stick module and simply replace it
Even opening it and cleaning it regularly is only a temporary fix for the daulsense both my ps5 controllers have drift again after a few months the only fix is hall effect sticks but there isn't any available for the ps5 yet I'd even go as far as taking the module from one of my ps4 controllers if I didn't sell them the ds4 was so much better cleaned once and worked fine ever since
@@Darklord_tK I had my PS4 for 7 years with the original controller and a custom controller and I didn’t get any stick drift. I don’t know how, but PS4 controllers were solid. You’re right though, there’s only so many times you’re going to open up the PS5 controller until other parts of it stops working
I waited for the DualSense Edge but when it released it was too expensive for me, and it wasn't the best in the features i needed. I bought a real metal back button attachment from ExtremeRate with a clicky trigger mod. I didn't need analog stick replacement because i get a pair of Kontrolfreek from my friend and it's perfect. I have an Astro C40 too, but i think for FPS games the most of the features are gimmicks. Clicky triggers, back buttons (extra programmable buttons) and swappable sticks are necessary.
Exactly, the ExtremeRate kit has 4 buttons for an extra $50 and the KontrolFreak has concave hi-rise sticks, this also works outside the PS5. For $200 the Edge has non of these, I consider that thing garbage.
@@WheeledHamster microswitch triggers works much better too, it's fast and very good the feedback. The adjustable triggers never works like that. Battery is smaller in the Edge.
I had the fusion pro switch controller with 4 paddles for about 2 years and I just now I switch to ps5, so I’m definitely interested in the victrix as I can switch the D pad closer to what I used to have. I just don’t like how you have to go out of your way to remap
For everyday gaming I got the edge and for high pressure situations I did get the vitrix pro because I like the sensitivity of them and the mouse clicks for the L1 R1

I wish Playstation actually did a red controller and red console . Cosmic red is a joke. And what happened to silver. We got silver controller for every consoles except ps5.
With the Wolverine V2 Pro is there an issue with dead zone as allot of users are saying that the controller is unplayable due to the built in dead zone. Is this true or not
i was considering biftrix pro, but i don't like the fact i had to put the usb dongle on my ps5, because i've already had the usb dongle on my ps5 for my wireless headset. edit: gyro is not for casual, actually it's pretty op once you master it, more aim accuracy on battle royale game, and also will increase your kda.
Here are my thoughts in order. (Specifically for me playing FPS games such as COD) 1: Xbox Elite Series 2 (Xbox) Pros: -The only one that feels like what you paid for (IMO). Very premium feel, no other controller beats it. can adjust the pressure on the joy stick. You customize sooo much it’s crazy! 4 paddles that are metal 🤘 Cons: stick drift issues alllll the time. 2: Victrix Pro BFG (PS5) Pros: Shape like an elite and the trigger bumpers are a lot faster than the elite controller. 4 paddles (plastic) you can do what the heck you want with the analogs / buttons. Cons: feels very plastic and cheap. no joystick pressure adjustment. 3: Dual sense Edge (PS5) Pros: Premium feel. Has 2 paddles that are metal. can customize a lot. can easily remove the joystick to replace instead of buying a whole new controller. Cons Didn’t like that it only has 2 back paddles. 4: Revolution 5 Pro (PS5) Pros: can play with PS5. Revolution was so bad, I returned the first day. So I don’t have much of a fair review. 🗑 I’ve used others in the past like scuff but that was just a sh*tty experience. Conclusion for me is that the Elite controller is the most comfortable and premium controller that I have ever owned. What controller are you guys using?
This comment section sucks. You people aren’t helpful at all. Imma versatile gamer , racer/shooter/sports but none of your are. The only controller that suits that beat IS a Xbox controller, it’s just big enough an has more room for improvement unlike the ps5 adaptations. Yea drift stick is an issue later on but what about now, symmetrical is best suited for versatility so what do I choose
It's a joke that there's still no reasonably priced alternatives. If I want back buttons on PS5 I have to drop like £200 but on Xbox or Switch you can get one for £30

Don’t understand how the ps2,3 and 4 controllers where so comfortable but the ps5 controller absolutely sucks.
How are you liking the v2 pro?
I have similar comfort issues with the Dualsense despite loving the PS4 DualShock 4.
Ps5 dualsense feels fine to me. I dont see why it would hurt ur hands. It feels good when i play
Yea that's just u buddy the ps5 controller feels fine to me
@@Gustavo-xz8os small hands
Did the v2 pro help you out with this? I have been having similar pain and have been looking at 3rd party controllers.
The edge is the go to you can change the joysticks whenever you get drift and don’t need to send it or buy a new one like that’s a game changer bro
But it cas 3 times more before it saves you money .
If the latter's your case then the dualsense edge would be more worthwhile in the longer term, since you won't have to be buying a new controller every few months or a year
So for some people it can actually save them a lot of money and possibly 3-5 controllers, and we're still a long way before a whole new generation of console comes out so you're gonna be gaming with that controller for a long time
The Edge is by far the best for one MASSIVE reason.
What we need in a controller
- PC Software for all the buttons (Dualsense edge negative)
- The ability to swap between asymmetrical layout and symmetrical layout / sell 2 models for either layout
- Remappable buttons on the back with a minimum of 2 / premium of 4 / extra premium 6 with the 2 on the side like the scuf envision
- Swappable d-pad and joysticks
- Hall effect sensors
- Adaptive triggers with a slider for the travel
- Mechanical buttons
- A touchpad
Let’s not forget these controllers cost like £200
I just use the powera Nintendo controller I know its sort of weird but I just wanted back buttons in a casual controller that isn’t so expensive
Lol
It kills two birds with one stone for me, I can use an asymmetrical layout for most games and swap to the symmetrical layout so I have easier access to the d-pad for retro games.
It does not.
Just brought the dual sense edge today.
After one year, how is it?
The next version of the edge needs an option for psvita dpad
Phenomenal overview of these controllers- thank you so much
subscribing now because amazing review on all controllers 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
What’s a good controller to avoid drift?
dualsense edge it has changeable stick modules
All with magnetic HALL sticks
Unless you specifically need digital tap triggers or rescued tension on your thumbstick, just get a dual sense edge. Best value by far.
That is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. So Sony won't fix stick drift after a warranty ends, but they sell a controller where you can swap them out with the exact same issue. What are you supposed to do with? The ones that were legitimately messed up the, you can't send those back in.....
Yep agreed it is total bullshit
nice & detailed comparison ❤️
I'll just get the Razer in my local shop then return it for the Dual Sense Edge if I dont like it
wish they would make a dual sense edge pro with click triggers that can be swapped to regular and click face buttons that would just be the dream controller for me
I got the Big Friendly Giant, I like it.
Not worth. :/
And here I thought buying Victrix would be more reasonable than buying a DE. Thank you for your comment.
@@BruhBruhLmao1996buy de trust me
Dam bro sorry bout that. I was just about to get vpro too but yours is like the 3rd recent comment making these complaints. Thank you bro! You just saved me 200 bucks. Looks like I’m just going to have to go for the de

Wow the notification actually made me on time
one thing u should cover is feel and grip
I’m going to design a pro controllers with twelve back buttons. I feel it necessary.
We don't have 12 fingers 😭
Had the Victrix for 1-2 months. Has stick drift, occasionally freezes for no reason and u have to unplug it and plug it back in. No built in speaker or adaptive triggers. No really impressed
For steam go with the edge. The extra buttons are natively mappable.
Why are pro controllers so expensive more than double the original controllers
Mostly license and brand competition
Don’t sleep on the Victrix Pro BFG! You can typically get it for around $160+ with a PDP coupon code but as far as the controller goes… it does feel cheap for a pro controller but it just works real well. I like that the joystick tension is in-between being too loose or too tight. It feels good playing FortNite, MW2 and the SF6 demo so far, I’ve had it since the horrendous launch but I love it.
The fact that it doesn’t have a gyroscope was an instant dealbreaker for me.
@@Neoxon619 Whats a gyroscope.
Would the victrix pro bfg be comparable to an xbox elite 2 in terms of comfort? I am leaning towards grabbing one.
@@smellycatgamingofficial as far as comfort I would say yes! Quality, not so much… the Victrix is a little bit smaller.
@@jex_one Thanks for the reply I am highly leaning towards picking one up. Comfort is king.
Just to let anyone know: Gulikit is developing a swappable Hall Effect sticks for Edge soon!
Wait really? This comment alone is instantly going to make me buy the edge right now
@@GotSawstYes it’s true
@@hustlawg I have the edge I've had it for 2 weeks, looking forward to the 3rd party sticks!
@@GotSawst that’s wassup bro! I also got mine like 2 weeks ago. The only thing I hate about it is that the rubber grip in the back is white and it gets dirty easily. I’m scared that it will get that yellow tint in the future so I ordered a black grip that I can just stick it on
@@hustlawg oh shit debrand skin?? Yes the thing is still slippery tbh, I would love more grip, because I'm so paranoid to drop this thing
I would stick to my DualSense controller just cause of the price is more affordable.
The thing with Scuff... Is that their controllers somehow seem to break fast a/o consistently _💀😂_
the cinch controller is what u should get and also get whatever you like on them and in them
If only the edge had a visual customization I’d definitely buy that tbh but Ig imma have to go with scuf at the end of the day
Victrix is badass
it would've been awesome controller if it had vibration feature
This helped so much
Thank you for the detailed review.
What about deadzones? Can they be adjusted?
I find the stock Dualsense deadzones to be unusable for aiming in soulslikes. I want to reduce it to zero.
Thank you, I am far from a pro but am so tired of “stick drift “ sounds like the dual sense edge is what I am looking for
The fact that none of the controllers outside of the Dualsense Edge have rumble is crazy to me.
the blasphemy
The only right controller is the stock one
Without paddles? If so your comment could be more worthy up ya arse
I honestly like the PS5 controller but I'm more of a person that doesn't use vibrations, haptic feedbacks, built in microphone controllers or any features like that
I usually just use the controller as it is and disable the funky features
And I kinda wish Playstation would have had PS5 controllers that are designed without the extra features for a smaller price because I basically pay for features that I never used for the past 3 years
getting fed up onthe drift - the cost of the controller are going up - sony needs to fix em - never had any other issues with other controllers
What is the controller with the best ergonomics?
I find the dualsense uncomfortable, too big
thanks

Just got a Victrix.
Controller is confusing
But I kinda got the hang of it
The size of one's hands is important when considering a controller as well......🖐🏿
Very nice explanation man, thanks
I don't care about vibration, adaptive R2 buttons, or dumb sounds coming from the remote. I want battery life or it's useless plastic lol thanks for the video bro
I’ve only just watched this video and wanted to give my opinion
Scuf controllers are known to have reliability issues, but as this is simply a modded PS5 controller, it’s probably going last a while however, the problem with PS5 controllers is stick drift. I literally only used 1 PS4 controller for the entire duration of having the PS4 and I’ve never had a problem, but literally within 2 months of using the PS5 controller, I started to get stick drift, which can be easily fixed by opening the controller and cleaning out the stick module
The potential problem with having a Scuf PS5 controller is, if there’s stick drift and there will be at some point, it will only cause more issues as the controller is modded and if you open the controller more than likely it will start to damage the modded parts
I think in terms of efficiency the PlayStation Edge controller wins, because if you get stick drift, you only need to spend £20 for a stick module and simply replace it
Even opening it and cleaning it regularly is only a temporary fix for the daulsense both my ps5 controllers have drift again after a few months the only fix is hall effect sticks but there isn't any available for the ps5 yet I'd even go as far as taking the module from one of my ps4 controllers if I didn't sell them the ds4 was so much better cleaned once and worked fine ever since
@@Darklord_tK I had my PS4 for 7 years with the original controller and a custom controller and I didn’t get any stick drift. I don’t know how, but PS4 controllers were solid. You’re right though, there’s only so many times you’re going to open up the PS5 controller until other parts of it stops working
Bruh Lucky, got 3 ps4 controllers and 2 of the 3 got drift one within a few Hundred hours of use.
I would prefer the dual sense edge because it’s the official pro PlayStation controllers
For ps5 best pro gamepad exactly edge controller
What pro controller do you recommend between Victrix Pro BFG or Dualsense edge because I'm looking for a good controller
Mr moneybags dropped a digital ps5 worth in controllers. If u got it u got it tho.

Edge or Scuf (PS) fs. Sony's Bluetooth tech is insane and especially if you're using it for pro level gaming, they have less latency when wireless than even some wored connections.

Is this true or not
Which one is the best for Tekken 8? I would play it on PC.
i was considering biftrix pro, but i don't like the fact i had to put the usb dongle on my ps5, because i've already had the usb dongle on my ps5 for my wireless headset.
edit: gyro is not for casual, actually it's pretty op once you master it, more aim accuracy on battle royale game, and also will increase your kda.
So now, NACON REVOLUTION 5 seems like the best option
Here are my thoughts in order. (Specifically for me playing FPS games such as COD)
1: Xbox Elite Series 2 (Xbox)
Pros: -The only one that feels like what you paid for (IMO). Very premium feel, no other controller beats it.
can adjust the pressure on the joy stick.
You customize sooo much it’s crazy!
4 paddles that are metal 🤘
Cons: stick drift issues alllll the time.
2: Victrix Pro BFG (PS5) Pros:
Shape like an elite and the trigger bumpers are a lot faster than the elite controller.
4 paddles (plastic)
you can do what the heck you want with the analogs / buttons.
Cons:
feels very plastic and cheap.
no joystick pressure adjustment.
3: Dual sense Edge (PS5) Pros:
Premium feel.
Has 2 paddles that are metal.
can customize a lot.
can easily remove the joystick to replace instead of buying a whole new controller.
Cons
Didn’t like that it only has 2 back paddles.
4: Revolution 5 Pro (PS5) Pros: can play with PS5.
Revolution was so bad, I returned the first day. So I don’t have much of a fair review. 🗑
I’ve used others in the past like scuff but that was just a sh*tty experience.
Kinda wish the Wolverine one you could change how you want to put the thumbs ticks like the purple one
It's a joke that there's still no reasonably priced alternatives. If I want back buttons on PS5 I have to drop like £200 but on Xbox or Switch you can get one for £30
Only question I got is do all of these work with Ps5 games?
Edge is the Brainer choice. About 30$ overpriced and worse than elite but it's the best option on ps5
Im here early and love the video!
Whats the point of the other two ones if they cant do jack....
Biased opinion here but ill stick with OFFICIAL dualsense controllers.
razor highway robbery especially for not having vibration feature at such a high price
