On my way right now to by a Ps5 and the Duelsense Edge controller. Thx for the review
I recently purchased 2 victrix controllers within the same week and neither of them had a functioning headphone jack. I tried my wired Astro 40 headset as well as my headset for my ps5 and both bfg controllers were defective. My roommate however has one and it works perfectly fine to his standard. Ultimately if the ps pro controller had 4 paddles, this wouldn’t even had been a debate for me. I’ll wait in hopes that Sony will revise the design of their controller and add two more paddles to the pro. This was a very good video though
Thanks for the comparison, as i didnt want to make a mistake and i really appreciate being able to easily repalce the the thumbsticks as no i do not need to buy a whole new controller for the drift issue
Glad it helped!
I have to say, your video on this is absolutely phenomenal! The edits and all the info from a-z is very informative.
So what I'm hearing is...... Spend the extra $20 for the Duel Sense Edge.
Pretty much
The price gap in Australia is commonly over 100 dollar difference
@@bailujen8052move to civilization mate.
I wish the edge had 4 paddles
That’s because it’s better
I have a dual sense edge & my only complaint is the battery drains so fast on immersive games. Plus, it charges quickly, so when I take a break, it's good to go shortly after. Being able to replace the joystick & having back paddles were enough reasons for me to invest. You definitely feel the difference between other brands as well. I've owned scuf, ps5 & evil controllers for my ps5 alone; this 1 wins.
I use cable instead of bluetooth if it helps
Thats why i got the xbox elite controller, so much better and especially the battery life
@@noset6434 until u get stick drift and have to spend more money
I have a desk and gaming monitor setup so its stays connected by the cable, fastest response time that way also
I prefer wired cause it's faster than a wireless signal.
THIS is the review that I need! I kept watching those that just compared features vs playability. Thank you! I was considering returning my Dualsense Edge for the Victrix, but this helped me realize that what I have is what I want.
I’m glad you stumbled upon this video! 😀
I have the victrix, absolutely love it. Feels good in hand. My performance in games have increased! Went from a 0.98 to 1.06 in mw3 just only two days.
Same i say it’s preference
so is there actually no touch pad?
@@TeavzFPS yes nd no big button in middle everytime i press it like a touch pad but I barely even use touch pad nd have dnt have games using touch pad good controller for cod, fort
@@TeavzFPS im drunk nd dnt feel like fixing tht lil paragraph
Hey thanks for the info
Very well put together video! My edge is coming in tomorrow and I’m excited to be able to jump and shoot at the same time in fortnite! Especially I’m close quarter fights. I kinda wish the edge had 4 paddles but 2 will do! Thanks for the comparison! Amazing video
Appreciate that my friend
How have you been liking it? Mine will be here today
this might be a dumb question but i don’t know much about this, but if the victrix needs the usb to be able to connect wirelessly what don u do about a headset that requires the same thing? i know u can connect the wire for the controller and problem solved but for that much i would want to use it wirelessly
I picked up a used Victrix BFG Pro from amazon for 108 dollars. You can always replace the thumbsticks too if you get stick drift. I have both controllers, the EDGE definitely is a better controller, but I love the xbox style layout and the 4 back buttons, so it depends on the game. Call of duty, I will use victrix... leisure games I will use the edge.
That's awesome - congratulations
I guess I missed in the video but how does the 4 rear buttons feel. Are they clicky or what?? Would they wear out easy
Great content sir !
Great video, but I would use the Victrix Pro for competitive gaming as it has lower latency
Awesome 🙌
I just use my dualsense with the wire in and set my input to wired in the settings, it gives you 1ms response time
I just got the Edge. Its perfect returned my Scuf. No issues at all the definition of perfection. I play wired.
It would be perfect if it had 4 paddles it ain’t perfect
@@dellz3008tf you need 4 paddles for 😂. The fact it only has two is why it’s perfect
Are we able to remap or turn off the “share” button on the dualsense edge?
Honestly, I’m going with the BFG. The Dualsense Edge just was MUCH worse battery life than the Dualsense itself. It has less accessories, and the switchable modules is just lesser in comparison to the BFG in my opinion. And I don’t want to pay $200 for something with worse battery life than the standard controller. The dongle I don’t mind for the BFG as that gives much less lag than a Bluetooth connection. But that’s just me in my opinion
I love my edge. Can't even use my standard controllers anymore. It is what the standard controller should be imo. I got mine for 150 so it's all the more sweet.

Haven’t seen the whole vid but wanna see what people think because I’ve had both for about 6 months (9 for the edge) and I find myself only using the edge for Spider-man and the BFG for everything else
Here are my thoughts in order. (For FPS games such as COD)
1: Xbox Elite Series 2 (Xbox)
Pros: -The only one that feels like what you paid for (IMO). Very premium feel, no other controller beats it.
can adjust the pressure on the joy stick.
You customize sooo much it’s crazy!
4 paddles that are metal 🤘
Cons: stick drift issues alllll the time.
2: Victrix Pro BFG (PS5) Pros:
Shape like an elite and the trigger bumpers are a lot faster than the elite controller.
4 paddles (plastic)
you can do what the heck you want with the analogs / buttons.
Cons:
feels very plastic and cheap.
no joystick pressure adjustment.
3: Dual sense Edge (PS5) Pros:
Premium feel.
Has 2 paddles that are metal.
can customize a lot.
can easily remove the joystick to replace instead of buying a whole new controller.
Cons
Didn’t like that it only has 2 back paddles.
4: Revolution 5 Pro (PS5) Pros: can play with PS5.
Revolution was so bad, I returned the first day. So I don’t have much of a fair review. 🗑
I’ve used others in the past like scuff but that was just a sh*tty experience.
Conclusion for me is that the Elite controller is the most comfortable and premium controller that I have ever owned.
What controller are you guys using?
Thanks for the rundown!
If only the dual sense had 4 paddles instead of 2
Nice review but i dont know should i choose the dse or xbox elite 2. And you earned a new sub❤
Don’t buy the elite two you’ll regret it. A lot of issues. I’ve had 7 and returned them all
i have the elite core 2 and its been perfect. i haave nnot a single complaint, except i wish i could add that lil fight pad now
@@elijnr
Should I still use l1 r1 for fps or the back triggers since their adjustable ? Idk i been so use to l1 r1
Something I use the L1 and R1 to fire
I’m not sure which one to buy because i want them both but I don’t know what’s better for fornite and shooting games what would you rather use
Depends, for performances and best delay = Edge
Vitrix for paddles but doest have vibrantions + stick drift.
Or you can just learn claw and stick with the original one and mod it
I'm okay with the standard ps5 controller for my typical gaming. But, its not working for me in MK. No sure if i should get the victrix
Make your back bottoms small if your hands are bigger so u can just or slide fast without leaving your hands of the aim
Where can i buy the edge controller. Not seeing on amazon
Check the official website
As an owner of the edge (1 month) Astro c40 (years) and am looking into the Victrix now because my edge’s thumbstick became very loose and like the c40 with battlebeaver I like to have tension on my stick. So having the edges stick loosen on me within a month, I am returning it. I will stick with my Astro (just replace sticks as needed) if you cannot replace the sticks in the Victrix I don’t see how that would be better long term. I just popped some new sticks in my Astro and I’m playing much better than using the edge. I hope this helps
For shooting games what would be best ?
DSE
The fight-module is genius. But it’ll be dual sense edge for me. Having no vibration feature is bizarre.
some people rather not have even scuff have option to not have it
Just gonna ask are you buying a PRO or a LUXURY controller, cause the DSE is a hybrid in a sense
Why would you WANT vibration. It’s so annoying and just makes you spend extra time to go into settings and turn em off.
@@katherinephilippakis1270i think they only play the Story games lmao... cause an Average FPS player would never want Adaptive Triggers and Vibrations on any Pro Controller. Just ruins the gameplay.
@@katherinephilippakis1270 Because it makes single player games more immersive, especially adaptive triggers. What an idiotic question
Thank you I was indecisive on witch of the two I would buy but now I know
Both for the right games so you take down enemies and do super quick attacks and combos in a short amount of time.
Get the original, victrix got a lot of problem, one of them is stickdrift. It disconnects real often, and sometimes when in a game you go to ps menu. I really like the lay-out and back buttons but just wish it did not have those problems.
Thanks for dropping useful info man
Dual edge not better with only two paddles 🤣
@@ZelGoesHardyou dont need 4 paddles
@@Miataman10you don’t need any paddles, what’s the point in that comment 😂
Does the edge controller not work on pc it doesn’t work for me
I’m waiting on my edge to show up I’ve always played claw so idk if I should try to not play claw when I get it or back paddles or both
I play claw aswell. You still play claw? Or u got use to the paddles?
for me the bfg cus i got pc games and ps5 games and the controller works for both its great
Can u charge the edge on the official charge white controller base, dont remember the name
Yes you can
I have a question
Can you put Xbox stick on the ps5 pro controller or no
Tbh I don’t know what that is. Thanks
I want a pro controller but didn’t know witch one was better
This would be an easy win for the dual sense edge if it just had four paddles. But because it only has two I just can't buy it and I have to get the victrix
That’s why I’ve bought the victrix and I received today. I’m not gonna lie to you but this one sucks. It is really noticeable that this is a 3rd party controller and the build quality is really bad. And the triggers are seriously a joke.
For me though 2 back buttons is a buy changer. I play, for example fortnite and in fortnite if you don’t have 4 back buttons it’s much harder to play unless you play claw grip
Which buttons did you map to the controller for 4 paddles on Fortnite
@@tommyharper126 build jump sprint and pickaxe
THE VICTRIX HAS MAJOR STICK DRIFT. i play on pc so maybe that is the issues but holy fuck, switching to the edge has been the best idea yet
No it's default problem with this chineese shit controller, I have same
Soon, you’ll be able to buy Hall effect modules for the victrix the same price as the PlayStation, effectively: $40 total to replace both modules.
Finally, thanks for the info!
I like and wanna get the dual sense edge
very well done def. wont be going the BFG definitely not a fan on trigger adjustments thats def a no go. what about the razer wolverine v2 pro?
I've never used it, looks decent but I would just go for the DSE.
dome for smaller hands is stupid because it takes longer fingers to reach to the middle of the back on the controller. the longer option press way to easily which is why i prefer the dome
Sounds good 👌
For me I'm goin to buy both. Vix for ps4. And. Ps5 one for that.
Sounds good G
what is more worth it?
what is grip like on Victrix
It’s ok, I do like the grip
Personally the 4 paddles on the Victrix sells it for me
That's definitely a major selling point for the Victrix, glad you made a decision.
@@NomadFlair yes for sure, thanks for helping me make one
Wich ps5 controller has the best ergonomics?
I find the dualsense uncomfortable, too big
Thanks
the dualsense controller is the best and only good and properly shaped controller theyve made. its the entire reason to get the ps5
My neighbor bought the dual sense edge on Amazon and then returned his factory controller.
genius
What's better for gyroscope ?
DualSense Edge
@@NomadFlair Is it the one that comes with the ps5 standard?
Bro you really should use your paddles for X and triangle bro and play tactical so you can just press your sticks to slide so you NEVER HAVE TO take your hands off your controller
Sounds like a good ideas, going to try it thanks
@@NomadFlair seriously bro on cod it’s a game changer for real! Cause then you can just press you stick to slide etc tactical is the way to go brother!
all i want is a controller that dose not go into a drift after a few months of used an then bin - not the for the price ive paid for - i have had now 2 of them
I only want the BFG really. Why? Because it has a FIGHTING GAME MODULE BABY!!! And that’s pretty much why I want it. I hope it works with my PS2 Wingman ‘cuz I wanna play Tekken 5 or Hokuto no Ken with it.
Yeah for fighting games it’s number 1 for sure
@@NomadFlair I bought it over the DualSense Edge for that very reason. And I’m also happy to report it works perfectly with my PS2 Wingman. I was able to do combos no problem in my favourite PS2 fighting games.
I got the victrix it was on sale for 150$ and i only play fortnite so the no vibration is a great thing bc i dont even have it enabled 4 back buttons is really good for building and editing for 50$ less i think victrix was worth it my headphones also have built in mic so i dont rlly need it
what rank are you
Does the Dual sense edge work on ps4 ??
Don’t think so
If only the edge had a 6 button option layout :-(
That’s would be dope
Edge only has 2 back buttons, so it's automatically out of the running for me.
I bought the new Nacon Revolution Pro 5 for PS5 as well as have the PDP Vectrix. They are both pretty good, however both don't have any rumble and that's a big downer. Overall I would say the Dualsense edge is the best as it has more accuracy from the sticks into games, it has rumble and trigger effect pressure sensitivity. I like that the other 2 are smaller and fit better into my hand. However without rumble and trigger effects, they are big downers. Sony wins.
This video popped in my recommendations today I got a Victrix on release instead of the edge the Victrix was horrible it’s somewhat connected to my PC & PS5. The left analog stick was not functioning properly a light that was supposed to be off kept flashing and the top it all off hours later buttons just stopped working I didn’t damage the controller I didn’t even put a scratch on it. It was unusable I returned that controller the next day I got it this was worst controller I ever had. I recommend people to never buy this controller unless it’s to someone you hate but you have to spend big
I got the edge yesterday it works fantastically and easy to map did take me a sec to turn off the vibrations though you have to make a profile that doesn’t have vibrations everything works on it and analog sticks are so easy to take out and replace if needed to I fell in love with this controller the best part it comes with a protector for the charger port you placed the protector on the end of the cable and it stops it from bending in case you slam your controller down on an uneven surface or something that’s exactly what happened to my Xbox elite the charger port just snapped off and I had to get a charging station to use it
what I’m trying to say if you have the choice between one made by the company itself for their product or a company making a product for another company I would recommend the first choice
The victrix controller is better than the edge and I own both controllers in terms of battery life and the grips on the edge will start coming off after lots of use
So battery doesn’t matter?
Does it get dirty fast?
If you snack while gaming then yes, if you don’t then no!
The Victrix has some very cool ideas, but poor execution imo, it's lacking features in the end and it's not worth the steep price
I agree man
Can you remap one of the paddles to a D-button? Or just to the common 4 buttons?
Yes you can, not just the common buttons.
@@NomadFlair thank you so much for the quick response! Also, I have a PS5 aimcontrollerV1 and I recently purchased a PS5 aimcontroller v3 and I think the location of the paddles are terrible. Does the victrix feel more natural for your ring fingers to press easily? And i need 4 paddles so would you recommend the vixtric overall? Any stick drift? Or should I consider maybe the cinch gaming controller? Thanks again!
Ye it’s not just the common YOU CAN
@@Goodgracious381 In general, from what I've experienced & read - any stick that cannot be replaced, will eventually have Stick Drift.
After replacing several DualShocks, & 1 DualSense due to nothing other than Stick Drift - I won't get "premium" controllers that don't have replaceable stick modules, although I've heard good things about the non-analog controllers whose name escapes me.
They've been popular on the Nintendo Switch, no drift b/c there's no mechanical parts.
@@NomadFlair Can you map one of front triggers to one of the back buttons as well?
The BFG controller can connect to PS4, PS5, and PC but the Dual sense Edge can only connect to the PS5
I use mine on my laptop but it only works wired.
You can use the dual sense on PC
@joshski85 can yours connect with Bluetooth? Mine only works wired?... the edge I mean. The regular ones work fine either way.
why isn't the victrix pro bfg ps5 controller doesnt have the rumble vibration feature, $179 controller with no vibration is outrageous
Weird right
Back buttons are just annoying to me overall and like to use regular buttons. Victrix is nice but no rumble sucks and long side R2 L2 is odd. The bottom texture feel of the edge is great along with PS4 and PS3 dome sticks to choose from make it the better buy.
What about the latency?
I don’t experience any delays
Even the standard PS5 dual sense is a waste of money if you don’t utilise the haptic function. They arent just that many games that really make use of it.
Idk because sensitive Shooting button catch my eye cause ps5 controllers are mad slow u can’t get the shot off
You do have a point there
Is the controller he have drift joystick?
Sadly, it does get stick drift, but it last a very long time. Last longer than the original Dualsense controller. Mines took a year and a half to get stick drift. If your controller does get stick drift, you can always replace it at the bottom.
So, no vibration?
None for the Victrix only
this is big let down for me. i bought it before realizing that.@@NomadFlair

It really depends on what u Use the controller for i wouldn't say the Edge is better and the pice for New Sticks is even more expensive then fixen a Normal ps5 controller u don't get that many New stuff and the pize is insane the ps5 Edge screams Cash Grab to me whlie the vitrix gives u alot more options but let's be Honest Here both of the controllers are basicly Cash Grabs paying 200€ for a controller is never Good
Hmmmm I don't know but your comparing a product that's been made by Sony and the other is 3rd party witch i feel its not a fair comparisons between the two so i have both and one's and so far everyone haves options 🤷🏽♂️ and it doesn't feel cheap 😒 so your opinion and review is not on point ❌
Kind of painful the dual sense doesn't have 4 back paddles.
Victrix have 1 proc against Edge - additional buttons in the back. Other it's cons. Why, because touchpad working not like PS5/PS4 touchpad, no haptics, shitty build quality + shit plastic quality + wobbling. And also need to put here that 60% of users return victrix back, because it's having problem with sticks. And main problem here with this controller you completely cut all PS5 Dual sense features what give magnificent feeling from a lot of game (horizon for example).
Edge completely native, all configs can be configured inside PS5, amazing quality of all parts + elite feelings from device (And they saved original size and all things from default PS5 controller
All my Controllers/Stickdrift/rating
AstroC40 - 2 months 😊
AimController - 7 months 🤮
Victrix BFG - 2 months 😍
Scuf Pro - not yet (8m) 😍
Original PS1/2/3/4/5 - Never 🤷🏻♂️
My issue with my scufs. Thumbsticks wear fast. And the grip on the back started to come loose and it's not replaceable. $240. Not worth it
Ive had Astro C40 for about 4 years now. No stick drift whatsoever. Still my favorite controller out of all of them. Sucks its not PS5 controller though. I got the Razor Wolverine v2. After 8 months it got drift 🤦♂️
The basic dual sence ps5 controllers in my experience is up and down, one of mine got stick drift in about 2-3 months and the one that came with PlayStation over a year plus with the slightest drift
Turning on PS5 - that's something Sony has done about 3rd party controllers since PS4.
Fair enough
Victrix is way better what in the f#ck are u talking about
Everyone has their own opinion
Lol that black controller looks like trash. Like a chinese knock off of astro c40 controller
