I remember as a young teen in the early 80’s playing a Yamaha acoustic. It was amazing and I have never forgotten that experience. I just bought a used FSX5 today. I hope it brings back that same feeling I had years ago
I feel like this video was made because of all my questions lol. Sales guy said he can only do 10% off the fsx5 so I’m now debating going with the fs5 to save a couple hundred dollars since I have rarely ever used the electronics on my cheap acoustic electric.
Good video I got Yamaha FG3 And And it for Had It's about a year It's opened up more It sounds better than My Yamaha LL16 Has a lot of bassAny sensitive to the Touch the best Sounding guitar that I've Had And best looking guitar I have Too one reason why it sound good cause the satin finish Yamaha my number one brand
I wish Yamaha would made Japan made version of LL16. I know they are making LL26/36/56 but they are incredible pricey here in Europe. I would love to have LS26 as a little sister to my FGX5 dred. Maybe one day :)
you can get nut, saddle and pins for 10.00....if you can make the nut and saddle. Wood pins are cheap. Play them both before you buy....or get one you can ship back and get a total refund....china made is a crap shoot....I have an LL16....been down that road. It sounds good! I have a FS800 that's a great guitar.....that guitar has more over tones. My FS800 has a perfect neck...better then any martin or taylor I've seen in 30 years. But!!!! I had to weed through a ton to find it. Typical chinese thing! I can capo up the neck without buzzes and there'a almost no relief in the neck.

Thanks for your review. I have a FS5 and struggle to find a better guitar to my ears at any price point. Wonderfully simple and simply wonderful.

Hi David, thanks for this review. I have now been persuaded to give Yamaha a chance, at least the 5 series. Great information 👍🏻
I hope it works for you. Let me know. Thanks for watching

Fs5
Thanks for watching
Do you prefer this or the FG5?
My preference is my FSX5. I prefer the comfort of the Orchestra model.
What strings are you using on this guitar?
Daddario coated strings 12 through 53. I believe they come with Elixirs in the same gauge. Thanks for watching.
Compare with Martin D10 please
I'm sorry I don't have a D10
