i am 14 and this phone is for adult and teen or whatever.. i have one and i love this so much.. it gives me everything i need.. so glad that this is the phone that i've chosen..
I'm upgrading to this from my Xperia neo, can't wait to get my hands on this bad boy.
Just for your information, and this is absolutely true, I was on the fence about buying this device, and after reading many reviews articles and videos about the Xperia S and not been able to make up my mind, it was YOUR comment that made me give up any ideas about buying it.
Had this phone 2 months now,really pleased with it,once ice cream sandwich arrives it will be amazing

I'll be getting this phone soon (even though it is from last year) since I found it pretty cheap for 299€ in a local shop. Your review helped me a lot in making this decision, and so you gained a new sub. Great videos you have there, and what a great phone the Xperia S seems to be!
It's definitely worth to have Sony Xperia S. I have this one for a month now. And I upgraded the system into 4.0 Android system. As to the battery life. I suggest go to the market and download the battery saving app, as well as turn on the battery saving mode inside the phone. In conclusion, just buy it, you won't regret.

ICS coming in April... and most of all battery life is doubled when I wait for full discharge and then charge the device for 8hours. I know it`s old trick but it works for me. ;)
PS: I agree with you, user expirience with Xperia S is the best on Android phone today, even though it`s only Gingerbread. Very nice review, well done! Keep the good work.

Yes of course, you can customize the home screen however you want, and there are a few alternative launcher application which gives you a lot more option to change the look of the phone menu...

many ppl complain about it battery life....yes i have the same problem with it short battery life for the first few days...but 1 week of using it..the battery life really improved alot...and the fast charging also started to kick in, and yeah it real is charging fast

I just update my phone to android 4.0 and it’s just great the battery life is much better now and it gifs you some cool new features love it :D great phone
I use to be a fan of screen protectors but then after having these recent glass screens (as you said) you really don't need it. As long as you have a good case to carry it in there is nothing to worry about.
I agree with everything that was said. the camera in the smartphone is spectacular, with the right application (HDRcamera; Camera360) can take pictures with professional look. Another thing that surprised me was the great music player, way better than beatsaudio .
I must say that the only things that did not like was the battery and touch sensitive keys.
The good part is that with the update - Ice Cream Sandwich, many things will get even better, and probably the battery problem will be solved.

Regarding the issue with the headphone jack, i read in an article:
"The spec sheet for the new 2012 Xperia models highlight that the 3.5mm jack will now use the CTIA standard as opposed to the OMTP standard it was using previously. "
I guess that's the reason why some of the earphones dont work with the Xperia S.

It's all a matter pf preference. As i was always a Sony Ericsson kind of guy,after trying Nokia,Samsung and Simens, Sony was teh bast match for me.
Never tried HTC though but with the new smartphone era, i find that Sony Ericsson has the best design of their phones and best software out here.

Disagree about boxed headphones - I think they're quite good. Sony's headphone surround sound settings are fantastic, too!

Well to be true this is my first non-nokia phone and also my first android phone :P
I was a blind believer of Nokia but it changed cz of some issues nd also Nokia E7. its gr8 to kno ur views abt Sony. 2 weeks passed by nd still its ok. Hope its like this till the end. DC-11 is good. I used it. But some1 stole it :(

Damn! cant wait this device to be available on mexico! and as far as I know ice cream sandwich update is available for the plataform correct? ... really good comments and customer expirience shared btw. Thumbs up for this video (Y)
Both are great but I like the Xperia S a bit more because it has a really nice design and larger screen compared to the iPhone 4s. The touchscreen is great, very sensitive, typing couldn't be a problem using the on screen keyboard, and also has an awesome image quality... Sorry for the late reply...
The Sony Xperia S has very much potential, if you now how to use it, you´ll never change your phone! SONY THE BEST EVER
it not my thing - I really dont know anything about screen, but I ask about it people in "sony centre" and my frends who are interested in thats type of phones. And They said that the screen in XperiaS is the best on the market. By the way i bought today this phone, and I'm incredible happy I had to go to the operator to change the sim card, and when they asked me what I bought and corresponded with xperiaS they said that it was a great choice, and sometimes they were more excited than I am

Yes it's worth getting, Jelly Bean (Android 4.1.2) is coming soon so it'll be getting even better.
Also I'd say this phone is aimed at any age (I'm 17 and own it) but I know 40 year olds who own it too, I think anything over 15 will like this phone! :) hope this helps and good choice! Also if I were you I'd skip the T and get the Xperia S and then the Xperia Z when it launches next year :)

Yes, i would! Camera, takes a while to focus but the amazing quality is worth it, if your recording 1080p in the right light it looks better than life. My screen has a mark but i think they have solved that now, if not replacements are available off Sony from my internet research.. Screen is great, camera, yep, touchscreen, yep, UI, yep (although 4.0 is coming out so we'll see for that..). Basically it's awesome but it has a few little let downs..And apps and games wise: Amazing (android)

Getting it on december :okay: haha i have a Live With Walkman and i really recommend sony phones. The quallity is good and all of them have good specs. I actually prefer the xperia P because it is made of aluminum

Screen is a definite highlight, as is the camera; anyone who read Engadget's recent iPhone fan-boy review of this device, take note; the camera on the Xperia is awesome on screen AND when transferred to a PC/TV. Their moans about compression were desperate.

I just found an Xperia S for 299€ near where I live which is super cheap! I'm definately going to buy it soon since my current phone can't even receive text messages :/
I might get this "S" for a few months (while waiting for the T) since I can get it for only $200 no contract. The "T" no contract might not be available until sometime next year--a long wait--and I'm really tired of my iPhone 3G, and iOS for that matter.

Ics actually brings some battery improvements, but nothing spetial. What makes the difference though is the bravia engine; if you turn it off you'll get much more juice

U has 4 gigs of usable memory and you can't expand it. Also, it is a bit too small (3.5"). If you want a smaller device than the S, but that's pretty good go with Xperia P (4"). But if you can totally get an Xperia S, go and get that one.

Hahahaha...I forgotten how long ago was that since I actually abandon Nokia eversince I fell in love with Sony Ericcsson. I'm not too sure about Nokia DC-11 but I seriously don't like the look of it as compared to Xperia S. Although Xperia S comes in Gingerbread ,you still can upgrade to ICS and I seriously have no lagging problem...everything is fine. I like Sony because , I go more for Music and Video. Never had been disappointed with Sony on that.. :)
Looks pretty good. I love the HDMI output feature. But the interface/dashboard just looks confusing and messy. Samsung Galaxy and iOS looks a lot nicer.
My Galaxy S3 runs absolutely fine with no lag. I am not sure what you're talking about. And in case you're calling me a Samsung fanboy, my daily driver is the Sony Xperia Z ultra right now. My S3 is my 2nd device.
I have it, the battery time is better yeah, but the menu buttons dont respond sometimes and u have to press em like 3-4 times to get em to work

Got a Galaxy Nexus and HTC One X. I really want this phone, even though the One X is quad core sense 4 really brings it down. Also the camera is underwhelming to say the least. Might have to take the plunge on this phone.

Still didn't get the Xperia S, was planning to get it in September, but now I think I'll wait for the Xperia Hayabusa and see what comes with it :P
It has a few faults, slow camera focus, slightly unresponsive buttons ( easily get used to 'em) and mine force closes occasionally.. bear in mind i had one quite soon so any problems should be cleared up now in terms of UI and software :)
Hmm one thing can say about battery beginning was bit bad because it last 1 day from 100% to 5% but if u keep up loading it then it will become last longer.

@MomokoakaAsh honestly, not had it long enough to say. Certainly seems on par with my old HTC Desire so far. With light use it's been lasting a way but it's a new battery and they have to break in over a few weeks.

For those who use internet/social network such as twitter and facebook, the battery on this phone can only hold up to 6/7 hours. I owned this phone, trust me. Poor battery life is the only disadvantage. Other features are great; high quality camera, large internal storage, and fast processor.
In India, its with Android 4.0.4 and planned upgradeable upto 4.1
nice demostration.....the part I don't agre with u is the headphones in the box....if its the same as that of the xperia arc den its awesome
get this phone if u want a bigger screen and amazing camera or the iphone 4/4s if u want simple user interface and a more comfortable feel when holding your device
