All the Knicks fans out there are going to love Timmy. He needs to work on his consistency, but he's shown flashes of being a massive scoring threat and defensive presence. He's a better person than he is player, which is really the most important thing, especially if he's going to be a replacement for JR Smith.
daaaaang his shot is all i could think of at the spot hahah its so crisp and nice.. but you know what.. it shows hours of dedication and hardwork.. and i believe that ANYONE can have that type of shot.. if they put their mind to it like he has..
A lot of bloggers talking about how he's forgettable and what not, but the bottom line is the Knicks have ANOTHER great shooter. This guy made it to the NCAA Championship.
he does have a very smooth transition from the catch to his release even though there is a lot of movement. If he can shorten the movement without killing his timing, he will become very effective in the NBA
Hardaway and J.R. Smith coming off the bench is going to be crazy hopefully smith heals quickly. Can't wait for MELO to get that contract extension. #KnicksTape
this kid is going to make a huge splash for the knicks. great pick up.. he should of been in the top 10 we robbed him on draft night.. finally a knick draft that most knicks agree with... i am liking the idea of signing elton brand also. KNICKS will be just next season.
Proud of Tim Jr., it's very difficult to follow in your parents footsteps when they were Professional Athletes (especially when they are considered H.O.Fers by their peers). I'm not sold on his release point, he is not 6'8 but other than that I really like his shot progressions. Great Kid on top of talent, couldn't have happened to a better person. Good luck in the Mecca, TURN THE GARDEN OUT WHEN IT'S YOUR TURN!
Agreed. I guess I'm not used to seeing anyone dominate our paint... And I was an obscene sight to me after Anthony Mason, Charles Oakley and Ewing being so dominant for so long.
@JustMatty80 what make you think that both times will meet in the playoff anyway I mean for all we know the Knicks and Indiana won't even see each other but I do agree with u that IF the do meet in playoff I see the same results but who know what will happan can't wait
in the draft and we took him 10 picks after he was expected to go, knicks took a great pick, hes a word worker, team player, can flat out shoot, plays defense, and his passing game is good too. and about that roy hibbert thing picture it this way if Tyson chandler (2012 defensive player of the year) couldn't guard some rook wouldn't be able to do half as much
well to start off yeah i kinda agree with you that we did need a PF/C the thing is we just signed Bargnani to help melo with the scoring load, JR smith as of now is still testing the waters of free agency and we might not be able to resign him because he wants money and we only have 3.2 mill in cap space right now, The defense wasn't the problem with the knicks in the playoffs they lacked offensively avg about 85 points in the playoffs. Hardaway was expected to go 14th
I hope I dont sound like im trying to blast "you." Im not..., but what game did I watch? Hibbert had like 65-70 rebounds against the Knicks. That means easy baskets, creating for cutters into the lane, and wide open 3s. I think he eats up Amare and Tyson "healthy"... Younger, stronger, taller dude.. A real center... but.. hopefully we can make up for the difference. I dont see them beating the Nets either, then again Garnet likes playoff off the block so.. we'l see.
I didn't see his measurements from the combine, but if he's legit 6'6" then he should go early 20's. def a steal late in the 1st round. I don't like that some of these guys dont go game speed in these workouts. Oladipo looked like a top 5 pick.
Hardaway could play point to add a bigger dimension to the already big knicks. Imagine a 6'6 point guard with melo tyson amare and shump in. That's a BIG team, plus they still got prigioni and felton and smith and other smaller guys
I wish he'd do the drills at game speed. Can't diss him for it because I don't know whether the person running the drills told him to or not but damn...
Im a big Knicks fan and when i was watching the draft i was praying that no one would pick him up so the knicks would be able to steal him and thankfully they did.
i dunno ..u talking bout tim hardaway jr? he kinda taller than them with less handle he's good but why pick him when we got the number one and can pick anyone ?
I hated the fans that were like "why's he going to the NBA if he's just going to be a second rounder." People who watched every minute of him in college would have realized he'll be top 20 for sure
Well that comment was made prior to the draft...but yea if we are talking knicks, then you are right. However one would think If theres 3 guys in the league to give Hibbert a problem; Tyson Chandler would be on that list. I dunno what his deal was that series... Now about Tim Hardaway, i think it was a reasonable pickup. The knicks depended on Jr Smith's scoring off the bench way too much
Tyson didn't show me anything btw.. during the season yes, but.. idk, Im very old school and judge players by what they do in the playoffs and I think even if he were not "sick" Hibbert still would own him. We're in trouble unless they make a move for a real center.
if he was in the starting line up it would be like this Pg- felton sg- shumpy Sf- hardaway jr pf- melo C- chandler but i doubt he is gunna start this year unless there are injuries
at the time they didn't know if they could afford J.R and they said they were looking for the best player in the draft that would also fit the team needs
They should have trade up or offered future picks. This guy is a fabulous shooter but is that what they need to win against who they will face in the Playoffs IF they get there? Defense wins series and he isnt stopping who they were already scorched by this year. They need a CENTER.
Well-- I agree and disagree. Yes offense was the problem. I think the offensive and defensive rebound differential was like 3 to 1 some games? We couldn't get into a rythm and start the offense becasue Tyson wasn't getting rebounds. Fine he was sick or underweight whatever the "reason" given... It doesn't seem like thats an area the Knicks felt needed to be address, which i think the series showed it does.
This was obviously a shooting workout. He tested strong with a 37.5 vertical at the combine in Chicago. I think prospects, especially shooting guards, get more out of these types of workouts than workouts where they try to dunk everything.
Great pick 4 the Knicks !!! Welcome to the NBA Tim hardaway JR !!! Make us Knicks fans proud !!!! A steal at 24 !!!!
In the NBA, he is the #1 Rookie with highest 3PT percentage. Actual Fact.
I like the way his shot just goes in. It's very smooth and silky.
All the Knicks fans out there are going to love Timmy. He needs to work on his consistency, but he's shown flashes of being a massive scoring threat and defensive presence. dude has one sweet jumper
this kid is going to make a huge splash for the knicks. great pick up.. he should of been in the top 10 we robbed him on draft night.. finally a knick draft that most knicks agree with... i am liking the idea of signing elton brand also. KNICKS will be just next season.
A solid role player, an excellent three point marksman!....get that money Tim!😁😁👍👍

His jumper is as smooth as it gets in practice.
BIG steal for the Knicks.Hoping for a great year.
I come back to this video now and then just to admire his form
i just have this feeling hes gonna be one of those role players that hit clutch shots in the nba finals somewhere down the line
What a nice, smooth jumper
Agreed. I guess I'm not used to seeing anyone dominate our paint... And I was an obscene sight to me after Anthony Mason, Charles Oakley and Ewing being so dominant for so long.
that stroke is PURE
Beautiful form on that shot
@JustMatty80 what make you think that both times will meet in the playoff anyway I mean for all we know the Knicks and Indiana won't even see each other but I do agree with u that IF the do meet in playoff I see the same results but who know what will happan can't wait
i believe in this guy. He isnt a household name, but he can flat out score, he will be a steal in the draft
Don't forget Hardaway Jr can also throw it down, very athletic. Should be a solid player in the league...
in the draft and we took him 10 picks after he was expected to go, knicks took a great pick, hes a word worker, team player, can flat out shoot, plays defense, and his passing game is good too. and about that roy hibbert thing picture it this way if Tyson chandler (2012 defensive player of the year) couldn't guard some rook wouldn't be able to do half as much
no..its about his basketball..but him having a manageable personality is a bonus.
They all look so good in practice
Great job Tim, good luck in NBA
Most underrated player in the draft I wish he didn't go to this off guard heavy team even though its my favorite team
#KnicksTape !! I can't wait for the season to start
Sweet soft touch on the jumper!
He's gon be one of them spot up shooters from what i see...
he's gonna be great for the Knicks
We gotta steal with this pick. Great fit in NY
this kid can play. Go Knicks oooo yeaaaa
jumper is pure
well to start off yeah i kinda agree with you that we did need a PF/C the thing is we just signed Bargnani to help melo with the scoring load, JR smith as of now is still testing the waters of free agency and we might not be able to resign him because he wants money and we only have 3.2 mill in cap space right now, The defense wasn't the problem with the knicks in the playoffs they lacked offensively avg about 85 points in the playoffs. prob the best father son combo :)
i noticed that guy next to him had way smoother ballhandling...his J is impressive :D
so imma buckeyes fan but also a fan of hardaway Sr... can Jr do his fathers killer crossover? great pick knicks im gonna follow this guy
this kid doesnt miss
Very solid pick, he looks lights out. All he needs to do is hit the weight room and tighten up his handles & he'll be fine. Knickstape!
Why would the show only hits?
Does SLAM get a cut from player contracts? CityLeagueHoopsTV maybe? Don't think so.
Ow meng this cam guy kills me with that!!!
Sick! Pure jumper!
Reminds me of Glen Rice i love his game
Good ol' Glenn Rice
He's a beast
I hope I dont sound like im trying to blast "you." Im not..., but what game did I watch? Hibbert had like 65-70 rebounds against the Knicks. he should be in the three point contest
Smooth Jumper . I like it
that guy is a shooter!!
I didn't see his measurements from the combine, but if he's legit 6'6" then he should go early 20's. def a steal late in the 1st round. I don't like that some of these guys dont go game speed in these workouts. Oladipo looked like a top 5 pick.
shine? you're kidding. he's gonna DOMINATE.
I want to see him in the 3pt shoot out he does not miss
i love his shot, really soft, effortless
Great shooter!
cool kid hope his career is bright.
Hardaway could play point to add a bigger dimension to the already big knicks. Imagine a 6'6 point guard with melo tyson amare and shump in. That's a BIG team, plus they still got prigioni and felton and smith and other smaller guys
I like his release.
All he need to do is gain the confidence. Talent is there. Good shooter and is pretty athletic
Less go KNICKS! Great pick
Would be great selection for Bulls, backing up Deng or Butler at the 2G spot.
So underrated
I wish he'd do the drills at game speed. Can't diss him for it because I don't know whether the person running the drills told him to or not but damn...
Also an airball for him is if the ball rattles in or rolls around and goes in
much appreciated man
Nice to see he has some of dady's 3 pint shooting
Im a big Knicks fan and when i was watching the draft i was praying that no one would pick him up so the knicks would be able to steal him and thankfully they did.
i dunno ..u talking bout tim hardaway jr? he kinda taller than them with less handle he's good but why pick him when we got the number one and can pick anyone ?
Nice job!
Sick Kobes!
Yes yes yes yes we got a good pick
Another shooter to the team #knickstape
welcome to the knicks bro
I hated the fans that were like "why's he going to the NBA if he's just going to be a second rounder." People who watched every minute of him in college would have realized he'll be top 20 for sure

Thank you!! Exactly what I was gonna say.
Good shooting form
Good workout good pick nyk knicks tape
He's gonna start for Chicago next year
Tyson didn't show me anything btw.. during the season yes, but.. idk, Im very old school and judge players by what they do in the playoffs and I think even if he were not "sick" Hibbert still would own him. We're in trouble unless they make a move for a real center.
Nice jumpshot.
if he was in the starting line up it would be like this
Pg- felton
sg- shumpy
Sf- hardaway jr
pf- melo
C- chandler
but i doubt he is gunna start this year unless there are injuries
pause at 0:14 what are those like what kinda brand
as a michigan fan, you knicks fans dont give him crap! haha. great pick!
Or it could be
PG- Tim
SG- Jason Kidd
SF- Melo
PF - Amar'e
C- Chandler and i agree with you
at the time they didn't know if they could afford J.R
and they said they were looking for the best player in the draft that would also fit the team needs
They should have trade up or offered future picks. This guy is a fabulous shooter but is that what they need to win against who they will face in the Playoffs IF they get there? Defense wins series and he isnt stopping who they were already scorched by this year. They need a CENTER.
Wow how many did he miss? Nice stroke...
nice shot
Is Tim using KD 6's?
Well-- I agree and disagree. Yes offense was the problem. I think the offensive and defensive rebound differential was like 3 to 1 some games? like them kicks
u mean backboard killer, rim breaker, or airball?
fundamental's ... it does not matter how fast you go in a private workout its about developing and learning.
I WANT HIS KNICKS JERSEY RIGHT NOW!!!!
But can he go like father like son and do a crossover then reverse layup?
This was obviously a shooting workout. He tested strong with a 37.5 vertical at the combine in Chicago. I think prospects, especially shooting guards, get more out of these types of workouts than workouts where they try to dunk everything.
lol i am a fan of Michigan & the knicks and personally i really like him
how did he not get picked in the top 10?
Nice camera skills whoever is shooting this 2:10
