When I graduated high school in 1995, my younger brother had a chance to buy a 1954 Buick Special just like this one, only it was a 2 door. I wanted the car much more than he did, as my favorite Buicks were always the 54s and especially the 57 - 60 also. An old lady had it for sale at her cafe that was going out of business. My brother turned it down only because he thought it was "ugly and old". To this day, I still have to restrain from slapping the hell out of him......and I regret not buying the beauty for myself. I had no spare money at the time. I hope one day to have one like this. I've always loved the old Buicks.
Buicks were well-made cars. This one is so nice because it is rather plain but it still has that fabulous waterfall grille I haven't seen as many 4-door (sedan) as 2-door Specials. What is the name of that ultra light green? Nice. (to bad that by this time Buick had given up on the rear-seat vent windows -- Before AC those were great!) Thx for sharing
