    I really hope you get into Iain Reid books this year. I need to hear your take on "I'm thinking of ending things". "We spread". And "Foe". all three I think are masterpieces and 100% worth your time. He has slowly become one of my favorite authors

    Im so glad you're back, you have the best recs!!
    Lock every door was also my first riley sager and i really liked it.
    I think elevation is more psychological horror? If i remember right a lot of it had to do with his inner turmoil over the whole situation

    This was a fun video!! About Twin Peaks.. I recommend it! I saw an episode once when I was a child, and it creeped me out.. ever since I have been wanting to watch it, so a few years ago I finally did, and it was great.. It's bizarre, scary, but also really funny.. I have rewatched it already and probably will again.. Hope you have a wonderful year Anda! It's January, so I can still say it right? ;)

    Dark Matter is a fantastic book. Highly recommend it, and quite frankly, anything written by Blake Crouch.

    "Venus On The Half Shell" by Kilgore Trout - according to Kurt Vonnegut " one of the most beloved and respected human beings in history..." - is essential reading for all Vonnegut lovers.

    The novel The Stranger is influenced by the philosophy of existentialism. Camus and Satre were friends.

    This will be a wierd question but im a totally newbie on "reading journal" fields and your style of remembering the books what u have read inspired me to try to make some notes while reading.. can u please recommend some method for this? What questions are u following in your own journal? Sorry if its a too silly question... i'm totally enjoying watching your videos, its helping me a lot to push myself and read more! :)

    • @AndaKent
      @AndaKent  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Not silly at all. My reading journals just has basic info like book, rating, genre, page number and it asks What did you think of the book? What was the most interesting part? What are you going to take away from this book? And a section for thoughts. Happy reading!

    I think I know what you mean about What Lies in the Woods. I've not read it but I read a couple of books recently that are fictionalised accounts of real events and they made me feel very uncomfortable. I didn't at all like the authors putting words and deeds onto these real people (some of which would have been really out of character) BUT I enjoyed Ketchum's The Girl Next Door and I'm looking out for Simmons' The Terror so I think it really does depend on the author and, I guess, on the event that it's based on....? Interested to hear more thoughts on this sub-genre

    I just finished Dead of Winter by Darcy Coates. I feel like she's fantastic at descriptions and at keeping you on the edge of your seat but I didn't feel like it was believable enough for me. I do look forward to reading 'From Below' from her. Have you read that one?

    • @AndaKent
      @AndaKent  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes! From Below has been my favorite so far. Very mild horror but some of the descriptions got under my skin.

      I do a breakdown of videos every month on my opinions of every book I read. I also do individual videos throughout the months on specific books. This is just a video showing everything that was read in a year without the repetition of my thoughts on ever one. Reading a few books a year or 100 books a year isn't a brag... it's just what I read... like the title suggests.
