Relate to your intro - books are the #1 thing I spend my discretionary money on, and reading is the #1 thing I spend my free time on. I'd rather spend $20 on a book than a new shirt... and it's starting to catch up with me. Soon I'll have to make my clothes out of the pages of the books I unhaul. Guess I'll have to laminate 'em or the rain could be a problem. 😜
Also just wanted to say, i love this video. i love how you showed and mentioned every single book and talked about a lot of them. much more engaging than most bookshelf tours where it seems like a race to finish as quick as possible. i love hearing people talk about their collection and be proud of what books they own. great video!
1 - You have an amazing collection, insanely jealous. I hope one day I can have a collection to challenge you. 2 - Your husband, brother and wedding all sound AMAZING! The way those around you take notice of your hobbies and interests, and how they incorporate that into gifts and special moments! The proposal box is incredible!
Anda, you and I have a lot of the same books! Love to see other readers of creepy/weird/dark fiction. I also love all the personal touches to your bookshelves, like the decorations and things from your wedding. :) Great video!
You have a fantastic collection and I'm jealous of some of your coolest editions. Seeing your poetry shelf was cool because I have been thinking that I want to read more poetry but didn't know where to start because my taste in poems aren't very diverse. I'm not into a lot of classical poetry, but some of your collections sounded right up my alley, like "Love Is A Dog From Hell" and "Ariel." Also I can't believe I didn't know about William Peter Blatty's book "On the Exorcist." I'm obsessed with both his novel and the film. Definitely need to find myself a copy of that.
Watched this in the background while doing some MUCH needed cleaning in my bedroom. Loved it :) Thanks for such a long and interesting video!! You really inspire me to get back into reading.
Finallyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, I can't describe how much happiness I felt when I saw the title, and damnnn one hour and twenty minutes , u really made my day , love u ❤
Thank you Ana for this video, you really introduced me to so many new books I have to read. I now have a video to look back on if I need a horror book to read. Also the book in paperbacks of horror is actually The Omen IV book.
I came here to say exactly what everyone else is saying. Such a fantastic video. Thank you so much for going in depth about the books!! Loved it and love your channel!!
Just a head's up about that green Byron book- you might want to be careful handling it with bare hands because green books of that era often contained arsenic to get that green color.
I recently found your channel and love your content. I’ve been able to discover some great books thanks to you. Your collection is so impressive, and now my TBR list is even longer, haha.
This is the most beautiful bookshelf tour in all of TH-cam. Lots of moments in the journey were heartfelt. I cannot believe you mispronounced Justin Cronin (you said Crown) when you showed The Passage. It's my favorite book ever. Thank you.
Oh my gosh, I'm so enjoying seeing your collection but this is really making my brain itch! I cannot have my books double depth like that - we're actually renovating our house and my biggest challenge is finding bookshelves that are shallow enough 😂
So, in the thousands, millions of books published it happens you mentioned a book with several pgs missing. Last Christmas someone gifted me one of the "Bourn Ideenity books I still have but couldn't find. Not really my style I would never have bought it but I started reading and thought what an odd beginning. Turns out the first 34 post were missing not torn out just not there she bought it new at Target.
I love this video! I only really spend money on books or going to book conventions 😂 I’m building my own home library. Last year I decided I had too many and had a cull and got rid of loads and now I’m sad and regret it. Never again!! The answer is always just get more shelves 😂
Have you ever read “The Westing Game” by Ellen Raskin? I read it when I was in 3rd grade and it started my love of mysteries (along with Nancy Drew). I still have my original copy that my mom had to buy me to read in class. Found your channel recently and Love your channel!❤
If I can recommend a book you may love: Daniel Kraus' "The Ghost That Ate Us", it's a horror book which writes itself like a nonfiction true crime book.
I love your bookshelf so far but I just have to say that I love your I don't know whats called... your sweatshirt? It looks so great on you do you know where you got that? 😅😅
im also a huge book lover. mainly horror books. i have also wanted to start my own library in my house. but dont have the money toward spending for them. i envy you a little lol
I also have hundreds of books, whilst we share a few authors, there are only a couple books we have both read. By the way Mcleod is a Scottish name pronounced McCloud.
you can’t do a video about challenging books in the english language without Finnegans Wake. From Wikipedia: Finnegans Wake is a novel by Irish writer James Joyce. It is known for its experimental style and its reputation as one of the most difficult works of fiction in the Western canon. Written over a period of seventeen years and published in 1939, the novel was Joyce's final work. It is written in a largely idiosyncratic language which blends standard English with neologisms, portmanteau words, Irish mannerisms and puns in multiple languages to create a refracted effect. It has been categorized as "a work of fiction which combines a body of fables [...] with the work of analysis and deconstruction"; many critics believe the technique was Joyce's attempt to recreate the experience of dreams and hypnagogia, reproducing the way in which concepts, memories, people and places become amalgamated in dreaming. It has also been regarded as an attempt by Joyce to combine many of his prior aesthetic ideas, with references to other works and outside ideas woven into the text. Although critics have described it as unintelligible, Joyce declared that "every syllable can be justified". Due to its linguistic experiments, stream of consciousness writing style, literary allusions, free dream associations, and abandonment of narrative conventions, Finnegans Wake has been agreed to be a work largely unread by the general public.
there is a method for reading william s. burroughs I promis you, you will not understand naked lunch if you dont read juky and queer those two you will finish in the day. Hi Anda! Killer collection.
Oh my gosh, I'm so enjoying seeing your collection but this is really making my brain itch! I cannot have my books double depth like that - we're actually renovating our house and my biggest challenge is finding bookshelves that are shallow enough 😂
I love your bookshelves

Can relate to buying 2 of the same book whether by accident or on purpose, and buying books for based on their cover lol.
I love this video! I only really spend money on books or going to book conventions 😂
I’m building my own home library. Last year I decided I had too many and had a cull and got rid of loads and now I’m sad and regret it. Never again!! The answer is always just get more shelves 😂
This is wonderful.
Just an FYI, I think the B&N classics version of `The Count of Monte Cristo` is abridged.
Have you ever read “The Westing Game” by Ellen Raskin? I read it when I was in 3rd grade and it started my love of mysteries (along with Nancy Drew). I still have my original copy that my mom had to buy me to read in class. Found your channel recently and Love your channel!❤
This is great!! I only have approximately 200 but its growing. Loat alot.
If I can recommend a book you may love: Daniel Kraus' "The Ghost That Ate Us", it's a horror book which writes itself like a nonfiction true crime book.
You need the Informers, as far as "horror" from Bret Easton Ellis, one of the characters is a vampire.
I love your bookshelf so far but I just have to say that I love your I don't know whats called... your sweatshirt? It looks so great on you do you know where you got that? 😅😅
Looking for a challenging read? They don't come any more challenging than "Finnegans Wake" by James Joyce.
" The Fall *sigh* "
im also a huge book lover. mainly horror books. i have also wanted to start my own library in my house. but dont have the money toward spending for them. i envy you a little lol
Have you read Gothic by Philip Fracassi? You might enjoy it.
I also have hundreds of books, whilst we share a few authors, there are only a couple books we have both read. By the way Mcleod is a Scottish name pronounced McCloud.
Do you ever get rid of books you don't like at all?

Have you heard of Graham Masterton? He’s a British horror writer. Anything of his from the 80s or 90s would be good. 😌
makes me wanna read until my eyes fall off
Woah now Shards is Ellis' third, Lunar Park is a strong horror piece
Can anyone recommend a good book for a horror movie lover who wants to get more into books. 😊
Misery by Stephen King. It will scare you to death.
I need to stop right here … I also have Story Land … I have no idea where that kid book came from. Family hand me down. 😆
If you want to give a number ( approx ), total how many books you haven’t read ?
Like for Dostoevsky
INTERESTING. I WISH I HAD SNUK INTO THE LIVING ROOM AND SET MY CHRISTMAS TREE ON FIRE WHEN I WAS A KID. HOW I LOVE FIRE. BUT DIFFERENTLY NOW.
Bruh 🧐
I wanna see her Goodreads so bad
there is a method for reading william s. burroughs I promis you, you will not understand naked lunch if you dont read juky and queer those two you will finish in the day. Thank you for letting me know! I'll read these two books first.

Think your mum buried that Pet Semetery book in an old Indian grave and it came back.
How do you not have ANY James Herbert books?! Sacrilege
Haha. I do on Kindle.
@@AndaKent would love to hear your thoughts one day!
