You can transcribe and create automatic captions with select fonts in adobe premiere too. You only need to custom edit those if you want to animate them.

Hi there - We started a podcast and decided to purchase 4 x toner BM-700 condenser microphones, along with a Behringer UMC404HD Audio interface. What software would you recommend that records 4 people's audio track? At the moment audacity only allows two input devices to be recorded. Is there a way to allow 4 people's mic to be recorded as seperate audio tracks on other known audio software's? your help would be much appreciated :)

Hi Amanda, in one of your previous video I remembered you explained how to fix jump cuts by using zoom in / zoom out transition. Descript looks great but it seems it doesn’t allow you to do so. If I want to use this software to edit face cam video, would still recommend it and did you find a way to fix this directly via the app or via an external one (easy to use and not too expensive since it would be used only for that) ? Thanks a lot

The issue is when you don't yet have a transcript (which is usually the case when I'm editing the teasers), but maybe I just need to work that into my workflow to get the transcript before creating them cause this is a good point!

I tried it once before to see if I could make caption files but ended up deleting it because most of what I do es en español, and well, It didn't work with spanish audio. I'm guessing it still doesn't, might dowload it again and check with their support, but when it does this'll be a game changer for real 🔥 thanks for all the vids and the help, keep it up🙏🏼
I personally looooove Premiere Pro so I use that : ) Descript is great as a beginner and for quick edits that don't have many layers (separate audio / video + many b-roll clips + graphics). I teach my full editing system in my online course if you're interested: courses.amandahorvath.com/launch
1:16. As someone who has edited thousands of medical presentations I can assure you doctors regularly speak words so tight you can’t edit them. Also you then would see a zillion visual skips in the video content. I’m curious to see it used in the real world.
3 things important are for descrit 1. totally paid app 2. you need very high end PC not laptop 3.after finishing editing publish wont work,just copy link open in new window then you get download button
