This symphony is absolutely stunning and the third movement make's you feel very happy if you are having a bad day so very powerful and very quick Beethoven was a generous.
Fine performance! On visits to Amsterdam, to hear live Bruckner!, I have stayed at a hotel about a 5-minute walk from the concert hall and enjoyed the Sunday 11 a.m. concerts. Really sad to witness a performance without a live audience. But at least the orchestra got paid and played together. Mark Elder must have arrived from Elsewhere and was permitted to lead the ensemble without interruption. All the Best from metro-Washington, D.C.
