Reason that zombies managed to arrive at Israël is because India did not manage to hold them back much longer also would been cool to see india fighting the zombies in the movie
World war Z is by far the worst zombie situation, walking dead is not as bad due to the slowness of the walkers but these zombies have no sense of energy at all.

I love the book myself but that would have made a horrible movie. So many stories and characters all separated from each other. I mean hell, I and many other die hard book fans would watch it but you need to attract a lot more people than that to make it economically viable. The movie cost almost $190 million dollars. They would most likely struggle to break even. People want to watch the worls get saved by a nice hero and a happy ending. The book just didnt provide what the masses wanted.
Typical waste of I.P. Was really let down by Pitt with this one, best selling book and none of its' content was used. Just used the title to make a generic zombie blah film.
