FALL OF JERUSALEM SCENE FROM WORLD WAR Z

- From the zombie thriller and loosely based on the novel of the same, World War Z.
In Jerusalem, Gerry Lane meets Jurgen Warmbrunn, a high-ranking official in Mossad, who explains that they have intercepted the communications from armies of Indian troops fighting against the "rakshasa" (Zombies). With their knowledge, the country managed to quarantine itself by building a large wall, and allows a large number of refugees to enter the city. While Warmbrunn shows Gerry around, a loud celebratory singing from the refugees attracts zombies from the outside of the city and they breach the wall. As the city is quickly overrun, Warmbrunn orders Israeli soldiers to escort Gerry back to his plane, being provided air support from an Israeli Defence Force helicopter. On the way, Gerry notices zombies ignoring an old man and an emaciated boy. When one of the escorts, identifying herself only as "Segen", is bitten on the hand, Gerry quickly amputates the appendage, preventing further infection, and the pair are able to make it out of the city aboard a commercial airliner. - บันเทิง
The most realistic part of this movie was Israel having knowledge of the outbreak weeks prior, the most unrealistic part was Israel letting Palestinians in the walls.

This scene angered me.
They’re hordes of zombies all around you, so you grab a microphone and start trying to compete over each other with religious songs.
In real life, the second they grab that mic, a soldier would shwack them without a hesitation.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What world you living in. Would never happen in this world today.
Aye the lack of common sense tho is astounding, tho that could be said about the rest of the movie. I can only assume from what they portray that they live in a world with such an abysmally low sick/unhealthy rate. its not much of shock that they'd have to deal with such a wakko disease/Viris/Pathogen/whatchamacallit since they lived in a world so empty of it.
Gotta keep the media happy even in a zombie apocalypse
I believe it. These people feel like they are at a dead end. They have seen so much death and carnage, most likely most of them have seen some of their friends and family die and turn into zombies. Then, they manage to make it to a stronghold that appears impregnable as no zombies have shown an ability to get in yet. It probably seemed like their god managed to save them so they are happy in a terrified sort of way. Their religion is the last thing they have clearly held onto this entire time.
The lack of common sense doesn't usually apply to people with PTSD. They are thanking their god and praising their deliverance. Besides, there are car engines running inside the city, the helicopters are flying around overhead, and random sporadic gunfire occurs commonly only added to the fact that that many people will make a lot of noise regardless. To think that only singing would attract the zombies is a stupid string for the producers to pull on but I don't think it is fair to blame their actions in such a situation. Humans have almost always turned to religion when they are in positions of mortal danger.
Imagine being one of the sick people that are left alone by the zombies after the city is completely taken over, with nothing but the zombies roaming the streets.
Naw this would be a hoot. The zombies won't be ransacking stores, so you can go shopping whenever. Super creepy camping trip. Like an ugly kid on a scouts trip. You know you won't be attacked, but it's still scary hearing it happening every now and then.

Amazing how the zombies didn't notice the noise of a WHOLE ASS CITY until one lady was handed a microphone
Cause what they don’t say in the movies is that they communicate and hear in frequencies not heard by humans and don’t hear certain frequencies heard by the humans. You know what the zombies were communicating ? They were saying….

A thing to note is that a lot of people talking is not making as much noise as the same amount of people singing in tune with each other.
Also the speaker system was making EXTREMELY loud noises because the mic picked up the sound from the speakers that then gets blasted into the mic again creating louder and louder noise for a couple of seconds. The most unrealistic thing with this is that all people around the speakers should have ther ear drums popped and bleeding ears
Imagine being scared shitless from running away from zombies knowing they're sensitive to noise and people from the safe zone just started singing 😂😂

They did, the soldiers were trying to prepare before they entered. It probably took the zombies minutes to gather and it also took minutes to get geared up for the soldiers
Their only mistake was building a fortified city as a single unit. Fortress 101 dictates that you should build a fortress with internal sectors divided by walls as strong as your outer ones, so if one sector falls the rest can survive and proceed to eliminate the intruders to take it back cutting your loses.

@@Kuromori101 That would be for a country-sized fortification. The distance between circular walls is simply too great to effectively use them for clean up.
tbf in the medival ages this was a thing. But also how they couldve known zombies? And how to build it. Also
Our ancieny warfare professor would have said just build ditches, put traps in the ditches, put men on the walls to fire projectiles on the enemies, and also dig ditches.
The movie skipped book plot points like Redeker Plan. No wonder they didn't have "distractions" for the majority of the zombie hoard
This movie taught me that if there was a zombie apocalypse and I saw Brad Pitt, shit is about to hit the fan.
I love how animalistic the sounds of these zombies are. Also I LOVE the “zombie wave” because I think it would be realistic. Like the zombies wouldn’t care if they bump into eachother, as long as the brain is still sending signals, they’re fine
I really don't think it's realistic, even for a zombie movie. They trample over eachohter, breaking bones, tearing tendons, etc.
Out of all the zombie movies, these zombies follow skeletal-muscular principles the least. Those falling zombies probably broke every bone in their body and can still move as if bones and muscles are just suggestions and not necessary.

F to soldiers who immediately confronted zombies, knowing that its a dead end for them
they really didnt have to get that close to them though, they could of stayed back and shot them as they landed.
Not exactly, with the IDF soldiers there if they could get the ones who hit the ground while the helicopters "cut" the tower of zeds they could won, the problem is the plot made to make them fail. Also, they had to be close since the only way to kill them is by headshots, destroying their brain, either on the book or the film, so being close is needed to get a headshot. When you're on a relaxed position on a range taking headshots at 100-150m might be easy but in a real scenario with the adrenaline pumping, people screaming, the confusion, etc is not easy even for trained soldiers.
(That is why soldiers shot to the mass center, it's easier to hit the mass center in the rush rather than headsots. It is even pointed on the book that they fell in the battle of Junkers, the battle of New York and the biggest of all, because soldiers were trained to hit the masscenter, not the head, and in the heat of battle they couldn't just adjust to hit heads. Also because the ordenance that would kill large amounths of regular humans have a limited effect against those who had not only to be hit in the head but detroying an specific part of the brain)
@@Huma270490 The helicopter arrived too late. Even if they could've cut the towers, there were already infected inside and spreading. No way to got every infected that had jumped inside, so the moment they crossed it was over.
The soldiers inside had to get as close as they did not only because of headshots (which I doubt they were even explicitely going for) but because they had to make a line between the infected and the civilians. There just was no space to get further away without having civilians in the way.
@@corvobatarin6785 Yeah, the situation would be absolutely desperate but that was their best chance to hold the position and not loosing it. In the scene we can see a lot of soldiers there so they might be able to hold, never know.

What's interesting about this whole sequence is how much we learn about the zombies. We learn that they can tell if someone's infected and not to attack them, but they can't distinguish if the disease they're infected with is the zombie virus or a different disease. Along with that, we also learn that they have a horde mentality when they climb on top of each other to reach uninfected survivors, making hordes look like literal tidal waves.
I don't think it's a "horde mentality", I think what happens here is that since all zombies are mostly receptive to the same things, after hearing the people singing from within the walls (which btw should clearly be deafened or countered by the helicopter patrolling on low altitude, but anyway), they all had the same specific reaction in which they searched a way to enter the said walls
Except by doing so, they mass themselves on the side of the wall, and the last ones to come will climb higher, and higher, until at one point some start going OVER the wall, but not any of this is actually orchestrated
Best part of the movie. Really cool. Love how they moved. Fast! Not your typical slow zombie movement. Made it more scarier. Frightening. Threatening. Great camera shots in this.
Also gets the filmmakers off the hook for having to do zombie makeup.
28 Weeks Later Infected are more realistic and more scarier than whatever this is supposed to be.
A ant-colony-like of Zombies climbing over a wall? Not realistic and not to mention, completely stupid or ridiculous.
I always wondered why the walls did not have sentry towers on them that where manned by people ready to defend the walls. Just because there is a wall, no reason to think no zombies can maybe get over it.
In the timeline of this movie sentry guns haven't been invented yet
@@RedArmy1934 True, but guys in towers with regular guns would work also. Sentry towers don't need sentry guns, just people up there watching and shooting as needed. At the very least you would think they would have people watching the other side of the wall.

I guess because the virus has an instinct of making the host avoid disease, so that the host could survive itself. Otherwise such virus could kill out its hosts by making them infect themselves with other diseases. The hosts would infect other infected hosts, until the colony of zombies would collapse, making the virus short-lived.
The only problem I have with that is that I don't think it's possible for the virus inhabiting the hosts to detect such diseases so quickly. The virus would have to have a library knowledge of other viruses, even though in its own evolution it might've never came into contact with them.
The next best explanation is that the virus is using the immune system of its host, which makes much more sense, however, I think the virus would have to be extremely advanced in order to be able to utilize the immune system at detecting threats much faster than it does normally.
Considering this, and the insane speed of zombies, I'm assuming the virus was actually made in a secret biolab or was dropshipped by aliens lol.

The infected in the movie ignore sick people completely ( kid probably has Cancer)
@@sebastianp7539He's not sick. It belongs to a injection that confuses the zombies from infecting them
@@sebastianp7539same goes to the old man who was blind
This all could have been probably been prevented if they made the walls spider proof like in Minecraft
3:38 This part made me sad, seeing the old man in the midst of all the chaos, thinking if his family would be fine or if his wife would be fine, not if it made me sad to see him like this
especially when you consider - the entire area fell in a couple hours and he was alone, to witness it all himself
He probably had Alzheimer’s 😣
@@Wayward666 He's incredulous that he isn't being mauled by the zombies like everyone else, he's witnessing abject horror in any direction he looks and might believe that doom is upon them all (you see this is in people who are 8 or 80). He doesn't know that he has the gene (or whatever it was) that makes the zombies ignore you (like the boy that covers his ears). His brain is trying to process this ravenous, apocalyptic event that is targeting everyone EXCEPT him and he's fully expecting their violence at any moment but never receives it. He's in shock, as is the boy who covers his ears and tries to block out what he can. Honestly two quite good examples of trauma response
@mi5anthrope The zombies ignored the old man and the kid blocking his ears because they aren't suitable to infect at all due to their illnesses. I don't know what both of them have at all but the zombies in WWZ don't seem to bite and kill people for food, but rather to just spread. I think it's also why it just bites and be done with it since it just infected a person, therefore they are ill and move on.
People really underestimate how terrifying it would be to live in WWZ (movie version), even if you were immune and they won’t focus on you. I can’t imagine walking by these scary freaks day to day, worrying if all of them might jump me 😂
I love that the soldiers doesn't have stormtrooper aim, it's just that there way too much zombies.
One of the story in book explain an armies trying to fight the zombies but they're end up losing the war because it's like fighting a endless wave of zombies
They're finally run out of ammo and surrounded by the high amount of zombies that keep coming
even on videos like this you have people blabbering about Israel and Palestine🤦♂️

I love how the book and the movie were like “even Israel would put aside their deep hatred for the Palestine if it meant stopping a deadly disease” and then Covid happened
well, you cant see covid, this zombie is visible to the naked eye and seeing guts and blood is scary enough you would try to survive ,rather than Palestine and Israel its now Humans VS Zombies

very good idea to start to sing loud and dancing , when the world is crumbling....
Gotta sing loud when the world ends my man. To them it's EFF those zombies. What matters is we sing loud and dance!
This is how I would expect the worse case scenario of a zombie apocalypse
Весь экшн голивуда, начинается тогда, когда они выключают логику.
"Нас за стеной окружают опасные и голодные зомби, которые реагируют на звук. Отлично, тогда мы споём как можно громче"
You're gonna tell me those walls wouldn't be more secure? If they had time to build them that big they really could have done Double walls, anti climb features, land mines, tanks, and other security features would decimate the zombie hoard.
they don't have much time plus this type of wall especially the design is the fastest way to build i recommend reading the novel since its more detailed but Israel didn't fall to the infected and they only fought a civil war against the ultranationalist Jewish sect
Bigger better walls moats soundproofing flammables and more importantly a helicopter that tries to distract the zombies instead of just flying in circles for no reason in cut scenes.
@@joshuajoaquin5099 Trying to say this wall would be easier to build than digging a little ditch and putting a percussion landmine in?
Who tf cares dawg it’s a movie just enjoy ffs
7:56 the soldiers are so stupid why fly so close to them that’s what your not supposed to do
The fact that 1 zombie alone can infect hundreds of people in just a few minutes is so scary
They're going for the infection streak
Ya because people all effing stopid
We are running out of band aids ! The reinforcements are needed!!!!!
There aren't too many zombie-related facts though...
That will teach them a lesson not to sing karaoke too loud that piss off the neighbors.
Oh hey, it's the scene that plays on all the new TVs at electronics stores lol.
I was never able to suspend disbelief for this movie. Human bodies simply do not behave in this way. The falls, the crush, the press, the mass - bones would be broken beyond function.
It's a fictional movie friend. Plus, they are zombies. Noone knows the mechanics, how a humans biology would change... Nothing. That's why it's not a documentary. It's a bit of fun
@@Leleche Nah
@@Leleche nah, you know why we both give you one word? Take a human physiology class.
@@sieunhau1 it’s a movie about zombies not a real life documentary lol nerd.
They are piling up and cushioning the fall of the other zombies but you can still see some of them limping
For such a seemingly violent scene, surprised how little to no blood there is
Imagine all the props they would've needed 😂
There would be rivers
It was PG-13. The Walking Dead got the gore right for how Zombies would eat or kill you since it was whatever the TV equivalent of R is.
there is an unrated version in which you see more blood and gore.
Best zombie movie that I've watched till now
Will there be a second movie or not

@@EgocentricPerson you’re telling me if someone cut off your limb, even though it’s to save your life, you feel all that pain you wouldn’t scream
so ur telling me, that helicopters swirling around the wall does not attract zombies, but people singing do?
I believer it’s because the zombies act like deer, they recognise stuff like footsteps and singing as from a human and this food. Helicopters and cars are not food and this get no response. It’s why deers run from footsteps but stare at cars
@@ISAF_AceAnd yet they still group up to attack the helicopter, so that explanation makes no sense.
@@Omega4Productions Hey man I'm just giving you the explanation from the book, don't shoot the messenger. I'd probably put in down though as the helicopter being close enough then for them to identify the sounds of humans, the book does state that they can hear an attack up to 1KM away.
@@ISAF_Ace If that's the explanation in the book, fair enough, but this movie is about as far from the book as you can get anyhow.
@@Omega4Productions I thought of it as like a cat with a bird. The cat can see the bird flying around but realizes it can't get it and ignores it. But if the bird dips too low... the cat can and will grab it.
Zombies are attracted to loud noises, bright lights and smell of the living
FYI rakshasas mentioned in the puranas were a huge group of indigenous tribes. They were described as ferocious as they were opposed to the Vedic invasive tribes.
Imagine you are flying over the city being overrun and you realize that your grandparents are still down there and you search for them and see them having a cup of tea in the middle of the madness trying to be calm!
I wouldn’t bother
This was an intense movie - but nothing like the book World War Z
No, the book and the movie basically only have the name in common. And the movie had to be altered quite a bit as well, due to objections from Russia and China about being mentioned in the movie.

Thank God for that. The book was actually quite terrible
@@MsDragonbal776 terrible in like...too boring or bad write...or terrible as way worse than the movie?
So i've got a question that is kinda stupid how the hell when the zombies climb like a 10 meter wall and still be able to walk should't their leg bones be literal cheeto dust?
Wtf were those helicopter gunships doing before the zombies climbed up the wall🤔
For any Avgeek wondering, the helicopter in this scene is an SA-365C-3 Dauphin 2 from the air charter company, Héli Air Monaco, painted in IDF markings.

2:19 checking to make sure there's fall damage
That zombie using other zombie dead body to decrease the fall damage. Smart
Zombie 1: does real life have fall damage?
Zombie 2-5 (or 2-4?): hold on let us check
I like how zombies just do their thing like they don't care about death because they already are dead Like they just free fall. Have a Japanese blood going through their veins (Kamikazees), Do stunts, Jump like 5 feet in the air. At this point they're a olympic jumper
I am 100%sure that mic lady was zombie spy😂😂

Seeing The Young Girl at around 4:21 screaming and Crying in Fear was as actually Quite heartbreaking, She probably lost her Parents in the crowd or to the Zombies and She's probably Too scared to move... 😢
An then in the chaos, the zombies will find her.
I love this movie! I've had fun rewatching it over the years and it never got boring! I saw it in theatres originally when released and watching it on a big screen was quite something. I went in with no expectations, especially given the troubled production it had, all the extensive re-shoots and all the behind the scenes drama. Came out thoroughly pleased and entertained.
This movie is great but I would also recommend reading the book. Tbh this "adaptation" really has little to do with the book. The WWZ book is set up more like a real-world WW2 history book. It is comprised of interviews of dozens of survivors of the plague 10 years after WWZ is "won". It goes from before the war, to the times of "the great panic" to interviewing soldiers and commanders from around the world and how their units handled fighting the undead. They also go over some post-war things like how they deal with deep sea aquatic hordes and also preventing the thawing of frozen zombies in arctic areas.
@@phrogman1164 I did. I read the book before I went to see the movie. I haven't gotten around to reading "The Zombie Survival Guide" also from Max Brooks.
