Have you noticed any peening at the front end of the charging handle slot in the receiver? A few people have had some deformation from the charging handle hitting the end of the slot when released.
As soon as I record the sponsor portion of the video I’ll post the update I’ve had finished for a couple months now 😅 Anyways I ended up getting a 1-6x Swampfox Warhorse
I’ve found that if I dry fire a few hundred times before the first shots, I never get malfunctions. Just putting that out there. Great video. I just got one last week.
I picked up a full-length hand guard 13.7 but it came with what seems to be an 8-position, star-shaped gas plug. This does not correspond w the owner’s manual, so guessing it’s very new. Also, it came w a large, circular charging handle… very similar to the one on my Benelli M4. IMHO, break-in periods are not that big of deal. Like buying a new truck or installing a new engine in a truck, needs a few hundred miles to settle in. Along with, it gives me time to ensure all the gizmos I installed are on correctly and where I like before going full bore. With that, when a manufacturer ships a firearm, it’s likely to be coated in a preservative (for potentially long-term storage, unknown climates etc.) more so than a lubricant meaning it must be cleaned and lubed appropriately before shooting. Over the years, I’ve given new guns a break-in period, even Glocks and the like. I’ll go that extra mile to clean, and use grease on high metal-to-metal contact points, and it’s amazing how nice guns run. For duty type use, I don’t use grease because it does attract dirt and other particulates, but for range use, absolutely. Now to figure out how to setup this JAKL, and start the break-in process. Stay safe and shoot straight!
I am a fan of PSA but any firearm that requires a break in period should be supplied with enough ammo to get you through that break in period otherwise they can keep there rifle.
Looks good, man. So awesome they sent it to ya. I really like PSA. I’ve been eyeballing the jakl with the F5 stock. Good video, man!
Great video! I have been waiting for the 762x39 version in FDE HOPEFULLY
New subscriber, keep the jakl content coming
I appreciate it! Trying my best!!!

Good review brother. I just bought a 13.7 with F5 stock and partial picatinny lower hand guard. I’m trying to decide on an optic as well.

Try the Magpul K-2 grip. It should fill that gap in.
You have the original 4 position gas block and now they all came with 8 position, with no disclosure on operation
Got mine in May. 8 position gas system.

Just leave the spring compressed (bolt lock back) for a day or two, lube, send
I wouldn't mind a .300 pistol one.
PSA just came out with the new full length handguard for the 13.7" jakl.🙏🏽🤙🏽
Yeah I mentioned that. It was released a day or 2 after ordering mine 😩

What's the weight?
@@gera23967.5#.. it's a little heavy. But, long stroke piston systems are. I really want to suppress mine..
