I've been an IT Professional for 30 years, and after 20 minutes of Googling, and reading how to do this on Apple's website (and failing and getting frustrated!), this 4 minute video answered all my questions. Thank you for putting this out there. Exactly what I wanted/needed for my project.

There is a much easier way to do this. On your new page, create a text box. This is where you can enter your text. Then merely go to the style (button on top) section and there you will find the border options, e.g., lines. I use it all the time.

Helpful in a pinch. What a pity that the developers have not integrated a PAGE border option in the Layout|Borders & Rules section much the way they have for full PARAGRAPH borders. Ditto an option to place rules between columns. (MS Word has had this for years) I find Pages to be quite elegant in some aspects and awfully clunky in others...

how can i boarder my pages in page after i am finished making my documents. You have demonstrated how to make boarder beginning. I want to know how can i do it in all the pages after finishing the work??

I think developing a section in the application that allows us to create a border for the document will make the work more easy just like Microsoft word. I hope that apple will take this into consideration with the next updates. Thank you again
Helpful. But how about a border pattern that isn't one of the five or six that Apple has selected - a double or triple line, one thin, one thicker, for example? This seems very limited.
While very helpful, I wanted to put a border around text at the bottom half of a page, instead of around the whole page. The text would not go into the "box" as yours did. Nevertheless, a very cool video I will benefit from in the future.
Using an iPad, and the (clunky) steps are similar, but not identical. One big gotcha, though, is that I can no longer edit the text after I put the text box (page border) on. To me, it’s a big fail.
Yes, glad you pointed that out. That you can’t edit the text once you place a border around it. I had to delete the border, then edit the text, then place the border back on. Needs to be simplify, too many steps for a simple border!
What were the devs thinking not integrating auto border. Now every time I try to add a border my friends with windows just laugh on my face. It's just dumb.
That is not a border, it's just a trick. Please do not show this kind of trick, if Pages has doesn't option to insert the border format than this is useless application

Too complex especially when you have been using Microsoft. I feel like I'm doing editing a photos.
