    Buddy I'm a Faller / logger and I really like your videos.
    We just last year lost all of us local Loggers Saw guy to Covid. He was in his late 70's and one of the best Saw mechanics I have worked with, even at his age he was a top Husqvarna dealer and repair shop that worked really hard to stay up to date with the advanced in Modern Saw technology. Needless to say his wife closed his shop and had an auction and All us loggers went and bought all the "Good Stuff" we could then his widow sold off the rest to collectors and the place who took over his dealership. Sadly they have since nearly stopped fixing or porting and making hot saws for us loggers (something our old saw guy was REALLY GOOD AT and his hand made Forest service legal Mufflers ....if you want to call them that....lol we're ABSOLUTELY fantastic at un leashing all a power head's available Horsepower) he had brand new in the box yet never opened 390XP saws that were like 6-8 yrs old because that is the favorite saw of all of us locals and I bought 2 of them...these all were manufactured in Europe and the really good quality saws. I just bought a new 572 Auto tune XP from him about 4-5 months before he got the Virus and he went through it for me and ported it and put on one of his pipes/mufflers on it and it is a really really powerful saw...and much lighter than what we are used to shouldering up the mountain every day. It turned out to be one of the last 2-3 hot saws he did for people.
    Anyway it's really nice to find someone who has the same attention to detail old John had.
    I look forward to seeing more of your work.
    Thanks Again

      Your autotune saw stores error codes. If you are having issues you might want to seek the help of a dealer to see if it has any codes.

    The "no oil in the gas" comments allow a buy to blame the customer. Great video. One complaint: the "guy at husky must have been husky" comment deserved a bullshit button just for the awesome level of dad-jokiness. Merry Christmas!

    I have a 2012 562xp, to see this type of problem to what appears to be a new saw is most concerning.

      Decomp buttons are a major source of problems. I remove them when installing a new top end.

    Were you aware that there are two different part numbers for pistons and cylinders? Seems that in 2014 the pistons were dished and there was some difference with the cylinders. Almost all aftermarkets stuff seems to be the earlier style and have to wonder if people are putting those in the "later" saws? I've got two 562xps, one a 2011 and the other a 2015 and can confirm that the pistons are different (no idea on cylinders but the part numbers are different). Dished pistons' part number is 529504701 vs. 584807806 for the older ones. Cylinder assembly in that later years is 575355807 while the one for the older ones is 575355805.

      Thanks, I'm aware. We have to select which piston is in the engine when uploading new firmware.

    Listen neighbor, I haven't had much time to watch many of your videos since our fellow subscriber Ted Neitzel told me you were here. However this one is my favorite so far. the reasons are I like everything you said and did because you said let's not just rip the top end off let's find out what the hell happened. WHY IS OUR CHIT SCORED!!! Even if it's not a warranty claim i like to know what to hell happened when a saw is roached like that. secondly you Made some jokes when you do stupid chit like me like prevent people from seeing the gauge, and get my head on the way. then finally I like how you explained hey dummies Stop letting everybody on the internet tell you straight gas is always the cause of a scored piston because it's not you're absolutely perfectly right great job neighbor!!!!! I like your video later!

I hope my life mishaps will help others grow in character and kindness for one another! I've been using your little pressure test through the fuel line. Genius! How much beating up of self for never thinking of that myself and pulling countless carbs to test em! Keep it up!! I've been mentioning you on my channel and will continue to do so!

    I have a question? Took my 562xp in to the local shops, they said my saw was ran with no oil and piston is scored. I used the proper oil/ fuel ratio since I had it. But I don't think they took it apart or pressure tested it. Because I picked it up with just the exhaust off. I was wondering if it's possible to replace or is the saw no good. That's what they were telling me at the shop.

    • @TheGreasyShopRag
      @TheGreasyShopRag  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Its certainly possible that they misinterpreted a lean seize for lack of oil. Lower the piston so you can see the intake side of the cylinder. If its clean and shiny then the problem probably has nothing to do with your oil mix. Of course this would have to be verified with a pressure/Vacuum test.

    Sucks a cheap decomp valve caused it, it has me thinking to plug the decomp on my 390XP and 562XP.

      It might make the 390 less fun to start.

      @@TheGreasyShopRag The 390 yes has alot of compression but if you pull it slowly past TDC then pull it will bump over without to much fuss.

    This is why I never loaned out my chainsaw or anything two stroke. You can explain it to them till you're blue in the face and they'll still put unmixed gas in it.

      When we rent saws we send a can of fuel along with them just to prevent any problems.

    The husqvarna warranty is worthless, i took my saw to 2 different shops booth said the same thing. Fines getting past the filter and eating fines. Even with the updated filter. "Your SOL buddy, its 600 bucks for parts and labor"

    • @TheGreasyShopRag
      @TheGreasyShopRag  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      550? 562? I haven't seen fines get past the updated filters or maybe its a different model.

    • @Mr2eyedjack
      @Mr2eyedjack 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @TheGreasyShopRag it's a 562, my first one had the older filter. I did the up grade when I seen the issue. But it may have already been smoked and was just buying time. But in the end I had no warranty clame. Dealer wouldn't even get a reading on it. He just pulled the cord and said you need a replacement

    • @TheGreasyShopRag
      @TheGreasyShopRag  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Mr2eyedjack I think way back I was able to make a claim for a poorly sealing air filter but just that one time. Maybe your dealer has tried a few times and been unsuccessful. Either way it doesn't sound like he did you any favors.
