It all works out. If the chain was proper the fines would have killed it. Great work and video. Take care.

I guess that pesky sprocket is hard to see behind the clutch? The air filter upgrade on these is definitely worth it in my opinion! Thanks for sharing 👍

The new filter design really is better. Its funny though, many Husky air filters over the years didn't screw down tight but they never sucked dirt like these do.

@@TheGreasyShopRag Hi Scott, that's a serious amount of dust in the air filter, the 254xp and 61,s etc all had steel screws holding them down to a nut sert in the manifold much better nothing getting through, I keep thinking as I watch your great videos does anybody actually carry out basic maintenance themselves like take an airline to there equipment it goes a long way to keeping things right

@@TR-vm6gu Sometimes I think they just bring them in for a tune up because they know I'll clean it for them. I don't mind, its easy work.

Ever thought of trying an Endoscope. Might make it a little easier on the peeps when checkin out the cyl. condition thru the spark plug hole.

Yes I've got three in my toolbox. Sometimes I get the answer I need with a quick look, sometimes the scope is needed. Sometimes I use a scope and edit that footage out just because its a distraction to the point I'm trying to make. In this case I wouldn't have been able to see the piston skirt anyway. Thanks for your input and stay tuned because I'm about due for my yearly update on whats in the work toolbox.

“Low on power”!! Yeah, right! Rule number one of customer relations - take everything they say with a grain of salt and never assume their level of knowledge. 😉
More tool questions, as usual - what’s the red tool you used to spin the spark plug off and on? Thx, Scott!
Oh, input on background music, in case you were interested - 👎. I prefer not to be entertained or distracted - just informed and educated (which you do really well!).
Now I want to see you slam a push mower down on that workbench. 😂👍

I've heard a lot of complaints about the music and I suppose I should do something about it. Maybe I'll just keep that little bit at the end. Does anyone actually stay till the end?

Regardless of what saw it is, the operator still needs to do regular proper maintenance and do it well.

I've done that on the old ones with a bail hold down but the new screw down filters seem to seal decent.

I used to feel like that but I'm a bit more chilled nowadays.
There's a shitload of things to know and keep track of in modern life and all of us lack "common sense" in some area or another.
It's easy to take things for granted that we know, even when there's so many things we don't. The trick is how to deal with it. Taking your expensive, potentially dangerous equipment to get sorted out by a pro was a sign of common sense in this case, in a way.
