A dad that's a dude here on the same journey. I just did my mats and need to do my first oil change. I will get the same kit, thanks for keeping me on track.
I would prob be on a round nose SJ if I didn’t do most of my riding in a National Park, lake mead, that has outlawed 2 strokes. But it’s zippy and as I dial it in more and more for my liking I’m pretty stoke with “big” 4 stroke. You can’t go wrong either way!🤙🏽 thanks for the comment dude!
Hello there I just got my new Yamaha 4 stroke super jet I finished my first 5 hours riding with half throttle so that I can break in the engine and honestly it wasn’t fun at all going slow:( Should I continue with the half throttle for the next 5 hours before the first service?
Awesome dude! Congrats on the SJ. Check your manual to be sure but, I thought only the first 2 hours were 1/2 throttle, and then hours 3-10 were pretty much whatever you wanted without prolonged minutes at top RPM. Who can stay pinned for longer than a minute anyway 😂 good luck dude.
@@adudeadad thanks alot Yessir you thought right The manual didn’t say that But unfortunately the Yamaha dealer told me so .I think for "legal purposes" and they were wrong Thanks again🤜🏼🤛🏼 🌊
I think the manual said puncture than crack it a small rotation and it would drain into the sump while you were pumping it out. That super sucks if it made a mess in your ski, Ive done it several times now like this and haven't had any messes.

@@oaj99 right on dude! Thanks for the support.
puncturing the oil filter bothers me, could get a piece of metal in there. I'd rather unscrew it and clean up a mess
Great point @nastysoda9212, I believe that instruction came right from the Yamaha shop manual, Ill have to check.
I punctured mine and it still made a mess, what gives
