Quite a few comments referring to this game being underrated. Just not true. This game was critically acclaimed on release and 99% of comments you find about this game are extremely positive.
+Dwain Bunker if it werent underated, ppl would talk today about it as a classic, but no one knows it. Just a few people.
Whoever dislikes a game like this don't know shit about gaming at all. One of the best titles for any 8-bit platform.
Plenty of people talk about it as a classic in my experience - I guess our experiences differ.
Maybe "underrated" is the wrong word. It's just not as widely or fondly remembered as it should be. "Overlooked" perhaps.

Unironically, this is one of my FAVORITE game songs of all time,and the best master system soundtrack ever in my opinion.

Totaly agree. To be able to switch between so many characters with different gameplay through levels and enemies so different was just awsome (and unmatched to this day to my knowledge) ! And the music was so great.

This song is so good, thr remake version is so awesome and faithful and emotiove. Holy shit, i love this game so much.
Finished this gem so many times, its actually the first game I did a speedrun through to see how fast I could finish it! 2 hours and 17 minutes it took me... the nostalgia trip alone was worth the effort...
I still remember the random 14 letter/number code for getting to the hawkman chapter by heart. Might be the most amazing game on SEGA, with a soundtrack to rival any Nintendo genius.

Best game on the Master System.
Criminally underrated, never would have heard about it if it weren't for the remake. Never had a SMS and barely knew Sega even had an 8-bit console. You don't hear about it much!
It deserves so much more popularity; shocked it's essentially cult classic status, even with the remake.
Oh yes, this song is amazing. I gotta pop this one in my Sega and play it through once more :P
this uses the Master System driver perfectly. Never have a heard a song that sounds both this good, and this distinctly 'Master System'

This was the first video game I ever played in my life. Sega MasterSystem 8bit. I was only 8 years young back then. I had english word dictionary next to me and I had to translate the whole game word - to - word. By the time we started english lessons in school, I had finished this (extremely difficult game, specially the hidden boss) I knew more english words than our teacher back in the days. anyways. Back to the original topic; THIS MUSIC FUKKEN ROCKS

I never used metriod or castlevania as my benchmark of a good RPG platfomer. The Dragon's Trap remains my benchmark and most platformers do not stack up.
That is good, because those other two series are not RPGs.

The theme tracks for this game were all very good, not just this one. There is also a secret level with the tiger character that didnt make the final cut of the game

Wish there was a PAL version which is slower. Tried YT 50% speed but too slow. Maybe 75% would be perfect.
+Snapps all you have to do is get Audacity or some other audio editing program and set the speed to 5/6ths of the original, since the PAL version of the game runs at 50hz and the NA version runs at 60hz

The beginning of rave music
Most SMS games are like that. The worst being this game called "Black Belt", all it is is a foot. that's it.
I honestly think this version should be lowered an octave, because it's borderline irritating (especially the FM version).

Man they totally butchered these songs on the re release of this game. These songs are all written with that fast tempo arcade style blues rock sound. It only sounds proper with that electric keyboard tone.
