    AudioControl is perfect. I had a vehicle that has a difficult Audio system both from hardware and fitment. So expanding the system with new speakers and a sub was not possible. I installed the LC2i post factory amp to the factory amp and restored the bass and sound. So happy. I plan on upgrading to something like this in the future. Btw the GTO setting is AWESOME

    I want to thank you for these videos. I had watched this video about 3 years ago and bought this amp and the 1500 for a sub. I sold that car but kept my gear and only want to put a small sub in my new car but it has a factory amp just like your test bench and now I know I can bridge 2 channels to get the 400 watts I need for the sub and I can use the wires off the amp in the trunk and then feed the rear speakers the other 2 channels awesome. Thank you again Godspeed

    I am running this amp I love it, theres a lot of control over your speakers.
    Im using this for :
    Channels 1/2: Audiofrog GB10 tweeters
    Channels 3/4: Audiofrog GB60's midranges
    Channels 5/6: Polk Audio DB522 (just back door filler speakers honestly)
    Also running a JL 12w6v3d4 sub on a JL XD600 1v2 in the trunk on a box designed by CarAudioFabrication specifically for the sub.
    One of the cleanest heavy hitting audio systems I have ever heard and still need to get it RTA tuned to be perfect.

My question is I have pioneer speakers installed that takes power of 100 rms @ 4ohms I want to ask that Is it a good idea to connect speakers in bridge mode in order to fulfill speaker requirements.

    How is it in terms of sound quality? Can it be compared to something I know, like HELIX P SIX DSP MK2? Is there only 12dB/oct and 24dB/oct? And the others? What about time correction? Which connection method can be used with android multimedia? It is important that the sound is not processed from android. How to connect then? By bluetooth? No optics? With optics it's like a clean signal as far as I know. I don't understand English very well, so please forgive any inaccuracies. Thank you

Have tweeters on ch1&2, mid drivers on ch 3&4, woofers on ch 5&6 but I’d have to sum ch 5&6 to ch 3&4 and set the band pass cross over point. Is this correct?

    My 17 silverado without bose has 6 speakers. 2 are 2.75" in the dash. I'm guessing they split off the door speakers. If i keep the stock speakers, or replace the fronts with a component set running that manufacturers crossovers, can I run them off this amp and also my 1×10 sub?

      Just rip the stock stuff out and put a nice component set including the crossovers that come with them!
      And yes this amp can do that just fine.
      The only thing you would need to do is pull new speaker cables .

    My question : If I have a 9 speaker setup (2016 Shaker w/o sub woofer) what are my options with keeping the center channel speaker in the dash. I get the left & right front & rear, but trying to find either a DSP that has that center channel out and then feeding it to an amp has become quite the unicorn. Any info would be great I really would like to keep that center channel along with the stock Sync3 radio. Yes I will be adding a sub woofer to the system at the same time I get this figured out. So I am looking at a full 5.1 setup.

    Question! Can you potentially connect more than one channel from the factory amplifier to one channel on this amplifier? For example, my factory system has a channel for tweeters, mids and bass. If i take the tweeter and mid signal wires from the front and connect them both to 1 channel pair, will that work? My goal is to clean up the signals from all doors so i can replace the crap speakers.

    I’m in the planning stage for my 2012 F-150 harley edition with Sony premium system. I understand that i can’t change the head unit. Being that there are component speakers in front and rear door speakers and i would like to add a couple 10’s for subs, would this amp do the job or will i have to add the mono block amp? Or would the ACM-1-300 work? I’m not looking for overwhelming bass. I’m 53 and I’m looking for quality full range with a good punch in the low end. Thanks

    • @Wright_Works
      @Wright_Works 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am currently in the same phase as you were in a month ago, when you wrote this msg. You do not need this amp if you don't plan on changing out the factory amp or speakers in the doors. If you want a better signal to your door components then you can use this amp, if not, just purchase audio controls, Lc2i converter to use the signal from your bass speakers to a mono block amp.

  • @freethinker4liberty
    @freethinker4liberty 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    So how do we find out if our factory NAV stereo attenuates the signal or has an internal crossover? Most don't do that as far as I know.
    If not, there's no need for this right? I mean I want high quality sound in my Jeep Grand Cherokee 2020 with the UConnect, but as far as I know the radio outputs a full range signal into each of the 4 channels, so all I need it a 4 channel amp with speaker level inputs and be done with it. Naturally, brand names only, I'm looking at the Fosgate Punch 400x4.
    Worst thing I've heard is bass roll-off so if anything, a LC7i is needed for those systems.

    So if using this amp does that avoid having to run the stinger speed wire from the head unit to a LC7I and then over to the amp? I have a question, and I'm having a difficult time finding a clear answer. Lets say this amp is used in a typical 4 speaker + 1 subwoofer set up. What is the output for the 4 channels (door speakers) and what would be the mono output on channels 5/6.
    Looking to do a well rounded system in a Volkswagen Tiguan, and this seems like a decent option apposed to some other 5 channel amps, but I'm a basshead at heart, and definitely want some great output from the substage. Hope you see this, and thank you for such a detailed and simplified explanation of this amp.

      CarAudioFabrication Let's say the inputs that are available aren't full frequency, can the DSP still add back in the missing high frequencies? For example, if you were to take that same bench setup and disconnect the tweeter inputs, would you still get "full range signal" output?

      @CarAudioFabrication  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, that is the point of summing. Sum the speakers to get a full range signal.

      CarAudioFabrication that's what I assumed, but needed confirmation. Thanks for the brilliant video and replying.

    Now I'm old school but doesn't using speaker level inputs also increase THD.?

    Nice review, it would be nice to know if that amp does in fact also put out its rated power.

    So with this amp would you need a LC2i or LC7i if you are going to use the signal from a factory head unit or does it already have that functionality?

    • @Wright_Works
      @Wright_Works 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It already has that functionality. No need for another converter.

    Any know if you can use the all in one amp to power just four tweeters and four 6.5 component speakers??

    • @CarAudioFabrication
      @CarAudioFabrication  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are running active you would need 8 channels for this. If passive with crossovers you would use 4 channels and this amp could work.

    • @raybaby1866
      @raybaby1866 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have 4 crossovers and each would have a tweeter and a 6.5 component speaker on it. Only four channels are needed without an additional amp for the 4 tweeters and four 6.5 component speakers??

    Great amp with one critical flaw: the crossovers can’t be bypassed. I’m shocked by this because no one with an active setup will want to use this amp. If it had that feature I would probably buy one.

      Blake Johnston The head unit came out of his Pontiac Grand Am. I think pretty much all "sporty" Pontiacs mid 90's on up had red interior lights.
