We aren't saying you need to play in 8K, but have an intern take 2 hours to record some game footage encode one 4k version and one 1080p, upload them both to TH-cam, pretend you're a viewer and compare the quality. Just try to make out even the broadest of texture detail on any surface that is even remotely moving. You are showcasing the work of a company that has managed to replicate the entire earth, real time shipping and plane data, tracked animal migration patterns, air physics, and increase ground detail by '4000%', yet you display it in a format where many of the quality increase are completely crushed by ultra low bit rate encoding. As long as you have a PC that runs 2020 now, you're going to have a similar if not better experience with 2024. Part of the reason is that they highly optimized the code for DX12 (which is now it's default renderer) as well as multi core CPU (which 2020 poorly supported). They also did a lot of work on the texture compression and LOD system to make sure it wasn't taxing the GPU as heavily. All of this was done so that the simulator could still work on consoles as they are a huge part of the market for microsoft. As a result for us PC users, we get an even better looking product that runs far better than it's predecessor
@@cptairwolf That's promising if it turns out to be true in practice. 2020 already ran pretty well for me at launch with GTX 1070 and Ryzen 7 3700X but of course the GPU was a big bottleneck.

The game's system requirements, particularly the substantial 32GB of RAM needed for normal operation and a staggering 64GB for 4K resolution, may discourage a significant portion of the potential player base. While optimization efforts are crucial, it is concerning that such high hardware specifications are necessary for a smooth gaming experience.
