Being a OSU fan I’m biased but still logical. I feel as do most that OSU wins this matchup. OSU has a couple great RB’s. The problem in the past has been the weak O line not being able to create a hole for the RB. The O line I don’t think is still great but has been improved so it should open up the occasional long yardage run for skilled backs like Henderson. OSU defense is second to none and will prevent ND from scoring often. OSU won’t have to score a lot, just one more time than ND so to loose, OSU has to make a lot of mistakes and basically beat themselves which is not impossible for sure but unlikely.
I think ND needs to play a lot of disguised coverages on the back end and force Howard to lose them the game/win you the turnover battle. Yes, this team is full of veterans and tons of talent, but that will certainly sustain. Not to mention if they do win, it will attract transfer portal players and high school recruits
Good point. Yeah, you're right. This ND team reminds of the good Wisconsin squads that beat everyone until they ran into OSU. It boils down to Day and Kelly coming in with an aggressive game plan that gets their elite weapons in space. If they try the ol "run up the gut on first down for no gain every series" they'll be in for a dog fight. If they turn that offense loose and get aggressive - they'll win by 3 scores.

ND plays a similar style to Michigan. Try to control the game and clock and keep it close. If Ohio State scores early and avoids TOs and penalties, Buckeyes win easily. I watched Penn State run with success without much of a passing game. If Ohio State can find success in the air, with that running game it could be over by halftime.
To be fair, our defense was worse early on, our o line was fairly jacked up since the first Oregon game, and Howard is a much better quarterback especially in the playoffs compared to Kyle McCord. This team has been night and day different in the postseason compared to the team that played Michigan.

I think ND does it. I'm not sure how OSU has apparently became unstoppable the past 3 weeks. They had a very average season, both stat wise & production wise. They barely beat Wisconsin. Lost to an always over-rated UO. Barely scrapped by PSU. Lost to a down Michigan. Sure, they had a good playoff game vs. TN & UO in the playoffs, now everyone thinks they're unstoppable. TN questionably shouldn't have even been there, & was given too much credit for their "win" over Bama. UO, again, over-rated, LIKE ALWAYS. NO. There is ZERO emotional content from the Bucks point of view.
It's just another opponent they intend to defeat
@toolegittoquit_001 I'm a Buckeye fan and ND can win this game you better wake up...
@@toolegittoquit_001exactly. There is absolutely NO other “like Michigan” other then Michigan period. That game when we play it is different then any and every other game either team will play throughout a season period. Plain and simple.
@@toolegittoquit_001 tick tock... you're POV is apparently OSU's POV. it's only the national championship... no emotion.
ND is going to punch OSU in the throat & show their tougher, will OSU respond is the question...
tick tock...
O. H
Wait- NO SEC? Haha! Wake up boys and girls! Big Ten is now the Premiere league. Oregon and Nike money? Oh my. Oregon will be next Alabama.
Go Bucks!
You're the guy who called Oregon the National Champion at the start of the playoffs too!
As much money these two teams have spent on players ……… 🤷🏻🤷🏿🤷
We need this national championship! O-H
Lol Ohio State is not a great running team… True at times, but in reality they have two 1000 yard backs lol
Gaaaaak, gaaaaaak, gaaaaaak. (Choking sound from Cryin Day). Who would you trust to drive a runaway semi down a mountain road, Freeman or Dazed? Millionaires will make business decisions when Irish get tough. Watch Day whine to the refs after ND scores. Who wants to play tough for a schmuck?
69-10. won rose and cotton bowl! Seem like your the one choking on that BS your talking. Go ahead bring up meatchigen no one will remember that lose once the Bucks win a natty. So go choke on that . Sir.
No you don’t… you don’t get it. Not until you put your well-being on the line, your marriage on the line. Then you’ll know what it’s like to have money on the spread
i diisagree joel. i wouldnt go into a smath mouth game .i'd force nd into covering smith and tate that should upen up running lanes for trey and jukins then keep foot on the gas
The real question is ,
Can Notre Dame keep up with the Buckeyes ?
I think ND does it. I'm not sure how OSU has apparently became unstoppable the past 3 weeks. They had a very average season, both stat wise & production wise. They barely beat Wisconsin. Lost to an always over-rated UO. Barely scrapped by PSU. Lost to a down Michigan.
Sure, they had a good playoff game vs. TN & UO in the playoffs, now everyone thinks they're unstoppable. TN questionably shouldn't have even been there, & was given too much credit for their "win" over Bama. UO, again, over-rated, LIKE ALWAYS.
ND might not have the same kind of 5* talent that OSU gets, they might not have $20 mil invested into their NIL, but I can just feel it for them. They're the team of destiny this year.
ND pulls off the upset 24-17
Yeah they won’t get past 17 points this will be the best defense ND will face
Yeah, you've not watched a single Ohio State game lol. One of the most uneducated comments I've ever seen, and that's saying something.
I’m 100% I predicted Ohio star vs Notre dame for the championship. 48-17 Ohio state
The Irish just need to watch 2002 Game OSU VS Miami OSU 11 point underdog.
OSU Will Allen intentionally injured Miami top3 offensive players
Knocked Winslow with helmet to knee
Speared Willis McGahee kneecap dislocated entire leg joint
Concussed QB Ken Dorsey
No Miami offense left Game Over Just look at Georgia concussed Marvin Harrison Jr Notre Dame DB needs to inure OSU key players
lol funny
14+ minutes in he's still diagnosing how he thinks ND can beat OSU and telling everybody what OSU is bad at. He is absolutely insufferable
This is going to be over before Half time, OSU and ND what a waste of a game for the first playoff NT. Boring game I am sure
Irish Me Laddy
35-17? You've learned NOTHING about Notre Dame Joel. FFS.
For real, buckeyes prob win by more than that
@@pt9373 The last two times these teams played it was a 3 point win for Ohio State and really, Notre Dame blew that game. Marcus Freeman's squad is much better now, though devastated by injuries. I'm not saying they win....but it's not going to be that large a margin of victory if they do. It's ridiculous.
@raveouscarlias4479 you may be right, but if you're basing your opinion on "two close games the last two years", I have bad news. 2024 Ohio State is a VASTLY better team than 2022 or 2023. Don't think that in and of itself will translate into a close game.
@@pt9373 I think 31-13. Bucks pull away late.
