👩🏾🏫😉-- nah but really when I was learning this I was like errhhh this is alot but i didnt see my hair really really prosper until i started considering stuff like Porosity (which the most important of all 3)
I’ve been natural for like 8 years but I’m on year 2 of actually taking it seriously and I’m so glad I found this video!! I’ve always felt like my hair was different or not common and it all makes sense...it’s so high maintenance. I’m high porosity, normal-ish density (it use to be low but my hair is finally growing in thickness) AND have thin strands. It all makes so much sense. I can’t wait to change up a few things in my routine. And I’m so happy I found someone with hair similar to mine. Your density is my goal. Thank you for this sis!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have fine high porosity strands also. So glad I found another person to learn from. I've started back using cheap products and they seem to be working well. I'm loving your videos!!!
I also have fine, high density, high porosity hair! There are not too many people like us! Thank God I found you. Please keep the videos coming. I’ve been natural for almost 9 yrs and it was only last year that I started realizing the importance of porosity. I was caring for my hair as if it was low porosity ( barely using protein, using hair steamers) and I really believe my whole hair journey has been a setback bc of that! I’m so happy to be finally understanding my hair more and it’s thanks to you tubers like you!
Thank u for your video! I've been natural for 9 years but just now finding out about my porosity. I thought I was low from the stand test I did a couple years ago but I just learned the characteristics of high porosity and that's totally me! I just heard about density so I'm on a journey to waist length hair. I was at arm pit length but had a stand still. Now I'm going for waist length. Thank u so much for this info! Now I'll work on strengthening my HIGH porosity hair! Lol
fine, medium density (i feel like my hair was MUCH thicker as a kid), low porosity....phew finally i know what these things MEANN thank you love for this
Just subscribed! Fellow type 4, high porosity, & fine hair natural over here💓 Not many naturals on youtube have this specific combination so I'm glad I found you!😍This video was nothing but FACTS! I would love to see some videos on things you mentioned in this video & things I've been curious about: wearing wigs & how you moisturize/upkeep with your natural hair underneath it (I'm new to wigs lol), daily moisturizing routine for when you have your natural hair out (bc we know high po loses moisture easily), moisture routine for blow dryed hair, what's your thoughts on using 'controversial products' like sulfate shampoos or grease for our specific hair combo? Much Love💓
Hi. I'm on a 9 year journey of no progress until 6 months ago with health first then length eventually! Finally got the retention going so I don't care about frizz, definition or greying bc now. Low po, med density, 3c, 4a&b. Just keep the pH balance & hydration in tact, all is well. Just got a break from too tight stretching while sleeping so regrowing the patch in ICU twist. Everything should be level in a couple months.
im pretty sure because since theyre more bigger in width you might miss some strands when applying a small amount of product so using larger amounts will help get everything
I don’t like the scalp text for density because I have flat, almost straight, roots while my hair is definitely 3b. I always rock the middle part so of course I see my scalp... but I definitely don’t have thin hair
When putting water on her hair, does it get instantly saturated or does it take a while (like the water sits on the hair instead of penetrating). The latter is low porosity
Finally a TH-camr that I don’t have to fast forward through senseless talking , every word every sec is educational and helpful ! thank you !
Chai 😩 I didn’t know hair was so complex. Professor Folan teach us 🙌🏿

Here from your DMX challenge. A queen.
SerendipitouslyMe you a real one!!!!! ❤️🥰🥺
Hi! One question; why do coarse hair strands need heaveier products (you did not elaborate on this).
im pretty sure because since theyre more bigger in width you might miss some strands when applying a small amount of product so using larger amounts will help get everything
Question about density of strands. My hair is short right now. I can see my scalp. Would that affect my ability to tell the density of my strands?
Thank you, I learned something new!
I don’t like the scalp text for density because I have flat, almost straight, roots while my hair is definitely 3b. I always rock the middle part so of course I see my scalp... but I definitely don’t have thin hair
I just need a different method is what I’m saying😩
Apparently put in pony tail and 2" is thin, 2-3 is medium and 4+ is dense.
You are also incredibly beautiful and intelligent.🙏🏾😀
Heyy i would like to know what kind of protein i can use for high porosity please
I tried the aphogee 2 step protein treatment . My hair definitely felt stronger afterwards
Your gorgeous
How can I test my 10 month olds porosity? I don’t want to cut it for the strand test 😭 and she ain’t sitting still for 5 minutes hahaha
When putting water on her hair, does it get instantly saturated or does it take a while (like the water sits on the hair instead of penetrating). The latter is low porosity
You're beautiful
